I was then presented with a $2,600+ treatment estimate, closely aligned with the remaining balance on my dental insurance. I left the office with no clear explanation, no diagnosis I could understand, and no clarity on what treatment was supposedly required or why. This experience felt misleading and non-transparent, and I was uncomfortable with how services were presented and billed. I have since filed formal complaints with my insurance provider and the appropriate state consumer authorities. At no point during my visit was I told that no cleaning would be performed, nor was I informed that the appointment would be used to build a case for additional treatment. I was not given a clear explanation, diagnosis, or tooth-by-tooth breakdown, either verbally or in writing, before billing occurred. I understand that dental practices have payment policies, but I did not expect my concerns to be met in this manner, especially after I had already been working with the office on a payment arrangement.
