They got insurance coverage incorrect, was told braces would be more money on the day of placement when they had over a month to give me a call. Then, a few months later, my bank account was over charged by $500 and trying to get my money back has been a challenge. There seems to be no management and the billing department doesn't have a phone as per customer service. I am disappointed with their service.

I've had everything from crowns and veneers to repairs and same-day emergency visits, and I can honestly say I've finally found my dentist. The entire staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. One of the things that really stands out to me is the level of personal care. I've actually had the doctor's cell phone for years, and whenever I've had a question or an issue, he has always been there and answered. Yesterday I had an emergency and Dr. McNerney took me in as his last appointment of the day. He stayed late to make sure I was taken care of, and I walked out happy, comfortable, and smiling. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Dr. McNerney, Bobby, and the entire staff. I really appreciate everything you've done for me over the years. I can honestly say I found my dentist. Highly recommend Smile Center! - Chris

From day one I had bad vibes from the office appearance, the waiting time, and finally the doctor himself. I should have trusted my instincts. Dr. Hurwitz was condescending, vague and evasive when we asked questions. The office is small, hot, stuffy and appears to not have been updated since 1972. He volunteered little to no information to how the procedure worked. The treatment room is not private; there is more than one treatment chair in one large, cluttered, room so the patients can be lined up in assembly line fashion. The assistants, who seem pretty young and have heavy foreign accents, do much of the work. We were given no information as how to care for the braces as far as brushing. When asked if there were a special way to brush the braces, he said no! The retainer that was given did not fit properly. We were given contradicting information about whether you should eat with or without the retainer. Within 3 hours of having braces placed on the teeth, 3 brackets broke off. Save your time. I find it incredible that this guy is still practicing. Shop around. Today, there are more modern methods to straighten teeth.
