had a cracked nexus one, which I paid 580 for (yikes). needless to say, I was extremely upset and was wondering if anyone would have the specific AMOLED screen that htc and google created specifically for this phone. dialnet not only had it in stock, but installed it in two hours. other stores in town told me they needed one full business day (lazy or short staffed??), while others charged a bit more. so although dialnet wasn't the least expensive option, it was definitely worth it. I'd rather have my phone back sooner than save $10. friendly staff and the screen's working great now! only reason for 4 stars is that I had to go back the next day because there was dust particles behind the digitizer (glass touch screen). they said it was because most phone manufacturers assemble the screens in dust-free rooms and in their store sometimes dust sneaks in. I don't care if a bloody t-rex came crashing through the store, just fix it! =p they did, and quickly, so all's good. I'd recommend these guys FOSH. read more

This place sucks, i fixed my cracked screen here and a week later the screen started to come off a little so i went back and they re glued it for me, and so i leave thinking its fixed, a couple days later the whole half of my screen is UNGLUED hanging off!! Very happy with the work and prices. I replaced the glass and battery on my iphone for 10$ less than Wireless Waves (my old phone repair shop also nearby on Melrose) wanted for just the glass repair. It took about 20 minutes and they did it while I waited and watched. They told me it would take 30 minutes so it seemed very fast. They were very busy even though they just opened. I was hoping my phone never left my sight, because I am very protective of my privacy (i.e. photo library) and hate surrendering the phone to anyone. They did take it out back, out of sight, for about 90 seconds but I got the impression I could trust these guys so I didn't worry about that too much. Great service at great prices, it is no surprise they are busy all day long. Highly recommend. read more

I wound up coming back the next day because it seemed like the screen was warped or something. They took a look at it and fixed it for no charge. Very organized and experienced technicians. If you need to claim with insurance and with high deductible costs, just take your phone to them and they will fix it for you for less than the deductible AND you get to keep your data on the phone in most cases too. The price of 16 Gb memory card for my Samsung Galaxy was 3 times the price at T-Mobile. Definitely referring them more business. All the guys and gal working there are nice and knowledgeable. Excellent service!!! I would recommend this place to anyone. I dropped my phone off just before closing and it was ready the next day as promised. I overheard a conversation with one of the guys and a customer...basically the customer had an IPHONE with issues and ask how much it cost to just replace it...he said $650.00 but it was better to purchase through ATT it would be much cheaper provided you qualified for an upgrade. I have a Palm Centro and one day I was in the bank and it started trying to sync with something and then just died. I was devasted because my grandmother just passed away and I had some of my favorite pictures of her on there. I took it to several different places and no one could fix it. This shop was my last hope. They not only were able to get the pictures out and put them on a disk for me, they also fixed my phone and only charged me $25. God bless David and the Dialnet team! I'm not a religious person, but I was praying that my Google Nexus 5 would not have to be replaced after going into a crazy restart loop. Went here for an accessory. Customer service was excellent. The staff were all very friendly. There were quite a few people in there, but they were able to get to everyone quickly. I can't speak yet for the repairs. I have to have my phone repaired soon so I will update my review then. But I would recommend, as everyone seemed satisfied that walked out. The accessory was clearly overpriced, hence take away one star. It was clearly a cheap accessory made in China, although I'm not knocking China made products, as everything is made there :), but I looked it up on Ebay when I got back and it was selling at an average of $9.99 and I paid $39.00. :( read more

You told me I could order a motor for $65, which is printed on my receipt as proof; it was never offered "at [y]our cost." Furthermore, of course I use the home button; who doesn't?! When I was asked about the vibration, I thought you meant the full vibrate function of the phone (which I don't use), not the specific haptic function, which is required to use the home button. I would have never said, "No I don't use the home button." Common sense as phone specialists should've prompted you to clarify. "Instead of coming back to us, you decided to go to a different shop who charged you for a new screen even though it was unnecessary and replaced the haptic motor without telling you to correct the problem that we pointed out. This way, they made it seem like our screen was causing the problem." This response is both uninformed and paranoid. You have no idea what was said to me at the other business. Firstly, do you honestly believe another company gave me a free motor unbeknownst to me just to make your company look bad? Secondly, I was never made to purchase a new screen at all. In fact, they gave me a FREE diagnosis and stated that I could go back to you for a refund prior to screen installation. "I assure you that if you check with many other experienced technicians, they will point out that a screen would not cause a haptic feedback problem." The haptic feedback/home button functioned perfectly after the drop, even with the screen shattered. It wasn't until you replaced my screen that it was rendered useless. Tell me how this is not due to the screen or an error you made while fixing my phone? A quick Google search will reveal that a cheap screen replacement can impact other functions of the phone. But you blamed it on a bad motor. Your response reinforces the unprofessionalism and untrustworthiness of your company. ____ I wish I hadn't hastily gone to the first iPhone repair shop at the end of my work day. I dropped my phone and needed the screen replaced. I went to this business out of pure convenience as it was nearing 8pm and they were still open. Upon replacing my screen, my home button was rendered useless. I was told that the haptic motor was damaged by the drop and then a few minutes later corroded due to water damage and it would need to be replaced for $65. At this point, it's after 8pm and I quickly pay deciding to deal with the home button later (turned on assistive touch). After leaving, I recalled that my home button worked fine after the drop and has never been subject to water damage. Fast forward to today when I have time to research and visit a new iPhone repair business (shout out to Hollywood Phone Repair). Prior to opening my phone I was told that Dialnet might have issued a cheap aftermarket screen that isn't compatible with the home button. Sure enough, when he tested a new quality screen, my home button worked fine! And he showed me that there was no water damage or corrosion to the haptic motor, which means I was blatantly lied to by the service person at Dialnet. I returned to the store with the screen they installed and requested a refund since A. the screen rendered my home button useless and B. I was lied to about needing a new motor for $65 (which is printed on my receipt as proof). The manager refused to refund my money, continued to lie stating they "cleaned the corrosion" for me. News flash. Evidence of corrosion or not, my home button is working fine without replacement of the haptic motor so that was never needed. Lie. He also said they showed me the phone during replacement of the screen. Another lie unless he's recalling a different customer. I was never shown the inside of my phone. I was asked to enter my password and that is it. And again, it's irrelevant whether or not I saw the phone because AGAIN the motor works fine with the proper screen installed. Then the manager has the audacity to ask me, "Why didn't you come back under the 30 day warranty?" Come back? The home button wasn't working when I left the store. It's not like it was working and then became defective several days later to inspect under warranty. It didn't work and I was told to order a haptic motor. There was NO mention that the screen could be creating the issue. Therefore, I obtained a second opinion and was told it's the cheap screen. The proof is in the pudding. Replaced the screen and BOOM my home button works. Deplorable business practice to blatantly lie to customers and then to refuse a refund when confronted with the issue. I would steer clear of this business. I went to Hollywood Phone Repair and had several possibilities explained to me prior to even opening my phone. The diagnosis was correct and I walked away with a perfectly operating home button - no new motor needed. read more

Prices weren't any cheaper than anywhere i asked around to but for $80 that's still cheaper than having my whole phone replaced with my verizon insurance. 4 stars only because he charged my coworker $20 less for the same problem on the same phone and after reading the other reviews i see that he also charged many other people less. I guess they just charge you whatever they feel like at the time or maybe i just need to practice my haggling skills. None the less $80 and an hour later my phone looked new again. read more

Dialnet is fantastic! I think this must be a difficult business to be in, because I went to another phone fix store and my phone came back to me worse than when I came in. So I went to the Verizon store and they suggested Dialnet. This turned out to be a fantastic tip, because the dude at Dialnet was able to fix the cracked camera glass on my Galaxy S3 in 20 minutes.
