All of the staff at Diagnostic imaging services in Metairie are very kind and caring. My technician, Chelsea, was wonderful . She is very kind, patient, and an excellent technician. The facility is very clean and the check-in experience is very easy. This is a great place to have your mammogram or bone density exam. read more

We got an estimate from the office via text message with a phone number to speak to someone in case we had questions. I had a question because the estimate was $1500. I really didn't want to pay this all at once since it was an unexpected expense and was hoping to put down a sum and make weekly payments and was even open to leaving my debit card info with them to charge every week. No way no how could I speak to ANYONE about that over the phone even after the hours i spent on hold being transferred. When I got to the office the lady at the window was solid on not expecting anything but the entire amount or the imaging could NOT be done. I will never return here for imaging EVER. This place does not care if you don't have the cash. No compassion. read more

Because of a discrepancy for services rendered for a diagnostic mammogram, I called DIS and for some reason was directed to a wonderful, helpful woman named Carol in Texas. When I realized they had directed me to a different state, I was thinking of thanking her and starting over. However, when I explained to her that I was going to be billed over $140.00 for a mammogram and did not think that was correct. She was very patient with me, did some research, and emailed the appropriate department in Metairie. I just received a message from your department stating that I only owed $50.00 co-pay. I would love to speak with Carol directly and thank her; but, realized that probably not be because I only go her first name. However, if you can find her please thank her for her patience and understanding. Thanks read more

This is the most efficiently run medical facility around. I went in at 8:30am for mammogram and bone density and was leaving at 9:05. The staff is always very pleasant. read more

Always great service and professionalism. They took care of me in every way possible. I was nervous about going in the machine but they assured me they would take care of me read more

staff was very, very courteous. answered all my questions. Appt was done in a timely manner.

The staff was nice and very helpful throughout my time at the Metairie and Westbank facilities.

My Appt was at 9a....it is now 10a and I have still not been called back. I have another appt today and informed them of it and was told I will be out in time but I don't see that as being true. And when I arrived and asked if they were running behind I was told no but it's been an hour. read more

The scheduling coordinator AND customer service team are rude and disrespectful. I have had my doctor remove you from my service. I had paperwork sending me to this company for services. I was sent from one side of the office to the other with paperwork and insurance information in hand. Copies were made of insurance information. With no less then 10 women working in sight not one made eye contact or acknowledged myself or any other persons presence. After 40 minutes waiting I was told I had to come back ANOTHER time after making an appointment. The paper work clearly stated t come in no appointment necessary. No apologies just leave. The rudeness is unnecessary. I then called after receiving a message to schedule an appointment and the person would not schedule without insurance information again. I let her know that the information was given but not acknowledged read more

The worst. So I have been going back and forth for months trying to figure out why i paid OVER 1k for a procedure only to be billed another 7 hundred. No one at DIS or United Healthcare could tell my why the estimate was so drastically off. DIS literally told me that no insurance company or provider has to provide a good faith estimate of costs (not true - Congress passed the No Surprises Act - estimates should be with in 400 dollars of the initial estimate). DIS was completely useless at explaining anything because they didn't know anything. I eventually met up with a medical bill advocate and we figured it out. The day of my procedure I asked the clerk for my total copay and they gave me the cost for only PART of what I was having done that day and told me that was my total estimate for all procedures. All my procedures where clearly listed on the Doctor's Order but that did not matter. Here is the thing - I had a limit. If the cost was over that limit I was not going to do the procedure. But since DIS has untrained workers, I was not given the correct total copay cost. So i basically consented to care under totally false information. She only gave me the cost for part of the procedures and told me it was for all of them. Well what if the second part had been like 15k? my life would be over bc DIS does not train their check in clerks. The issue was not that the estimate was off - the issue was that the DIS clerk just flat out gave me the WRONG cost. I double checked that both procedures where clearly listed on the order my doctor and they were. Funny that after all the phone calls DIS would never just flat out tell me their clerk was incompetent but kept blaming the insurance company. TLDR: Anyway don't go here - the office is gross and not clean, everyone is rude, the medical billing and check in staff is incompetent. The cash price for my procedures would have been like 800 dollars but DIS and UHC working together managed to squeeze 2k out of me bc the check in clerk gave me false information. Do not go here, go anywhere else. read more

My wife had an appointment for a mammogram. I'm not real pleased with the attitude she received during her visit. Although the doctor gave the wrong orders for her visit the attendant was not very accommodating to simply call the doctor's office and get the correct orders. I believe a woman going through a mammogram is a very tiring event. My wife had to get on her own phone call the doctor and get the orders changed herself. The attendant pretty much just blew my wife off. You will have to come back another day with the correct orders. Not a very good experience for a health care visit. This is why people are going to LCMC for these scans. read more

Friendly staff. Made me feel comfortable during my MRI. Playing the radio during my scan made the time fly. Got me in and got me out.

Came in to get my shoulder and Neck scan done and according to Heather, the people in the attorneys portal messed up the paperwork so I wasn't able to get my shoulder done. My doctor resent an order at 8.30am and no one ever called to set me up to finish getting my shoulder done. I had to call and I was able to get squeezed in at a different location thankfully. At the actual MRI, the female who prepped me for the radiologist was too rough when she pulled on my arm causing me to yelp out loud in pain. She never apologized or anything. After this experience I will be sure to never use DIS or Capitol Imaging again. read more

I am a fan of the competency of this medical facility, not so much a fan of the medieval torture that is held within. The annual squishing of the boobies is not my most favorite medical procure, but it is necessary and these folks do a great job of it. They run a pretty smooth operation which will get you in on schedule and treat you nicely as they do so. I have in the past also used them when required to get an ultra sound or a bone density test. Every person I've dealt with has been kind and professional. I'll continue to use DIS as my medical imaging provider, as long as I continue to have a need for their services. They have a few dedicated parking spot on the right hand side of the building, but parking is tight, go 10 minutes early, just in case! read more

The DIS location that I had been using near Touro closed. So I wasn't thinking when I made my appointment and had to drive out to the Metrys. The location is fine and efficient. The front office was crowded but they were hustling people through. Technician was quick and professional. Test results were communicated quickly. My biggest problem is the parking lot. I don't know who designed this strip mall but the parking is a pain. Thank goodness my appointment was after lunch because finding a spot during prime meal times is impossible. read more

This place is nice despite the looks on the outside. My first time here for diagnostic test. Not sure which one to go to when you first enter the door. Not every test is listed but they were really nice to tell me where to go. The registration ladies acknowledged me and told me they will be right with me in a bit. I tried to register online but i feel that if I'm a cash paying patient, I don't need to input my insurance or work info. There should be an option for that. The radiologist and his nurse were very nice too! They tried to keep me comfortable and explained everything along the way. I was really nervous but I want to say Kudos to them! Check out process was easy. I was in and out in about 45 mins. Not bad! Pricing wise was better than hospital prices for sure! Parking is plenty. Facility is clean and smells clean LOL. read more

Never really reviewed a medical office! I had to go there today to get a CT Scan. The staff was very professional and courteous. I arrived at 8am for my 815 appt and they promptly registered me and by 820ish i was getting my scan. The actual procedure took no less that 5-10 minutes. I was out of there super fast. Another thing to note, was that the facility was very clean and updated looking to me. I can't stand going to a medical place that looks old and worn out. I am going to go ahead and rate this 3 stars for a "just what should be expected" review. It was nothing more, however it was definitely nothing less. read more

I love the professional services I have gotten at DIS Metaire over the last 12 years and drive out of my way to go to this particular location - I have had mammograms, sonograms, bone density tests, and x-rays, plus supervised x-rays on a VERY upset five-year old. I recommend enthusiastically. The staff has always been timely, friendly, kind, patient, compassionate, professional and efficient; I have never had a problem with billing; and records go where they must and should reliably. I have never had the slightest problem here, including parking. Kudos. Bravo. Thanks. read more

The services I recieved here was wonderful. The receptionist Marcia was processional, kind and very helpful. She assisted me to get my films of test done today so I could bring to MD. She went above and beyond. The tech that did my scan was professional and explained everything she did as she was doing it. No suprises. I would use them in the future and recommend them to others read more

This group has been a leader in it's field for New Orleans for over 25 years. They clearly live up to being called , " Perfessional " day by day, text by test. I can't say enough about this firm. For what's on the line, these guys are the group. read more

I had my first mammogram here today. I went in terrified. I have a low threshold for pain and was nervous to the point of tears. The staff was kind and made me feel comfortable, and thankfully, there was no pain after all. The room was dimly lit and comfortable so I didn't feel too awkward and exposed, and the technician was gentle as she positioned me, allowed me to keep my gown on, then few seconds of mild compression, 4 times, and done in maybe 3-4 minutes. I'd take a mammogram over having blood drawn any day. I don't think I was in the facility for more than 15 minutes total, including registration. It is very clean and a friendly but quiet atmosphere. One note about the location- there is another imaging center off of Houma blvd called doctors imaging- also "DIS"-and it is a different business! When I mapped "DIS Metairie," that's what came up so I initially went to the wrong place. Fortunately its just a hop skip and a jump to the south toward vets. read more

I had to have a second mammogram with an ultrasound. I paid out of pocket for it in advance. I read the background on the company which shows that they are nationally accredited to read results on premises. They wouldn't give me my results! The staff was very polite and the facility relatively clean (not the restroom!) but, I, the paying customer, could not get my results. They told me I could get them and then changed their minds. Not going there again. read more
