Thursday, 17 MAR 2022 was my 1st visit to the Ochsner Imaging Center just across the street from…read morethe main campus. Kudos for the facility for having late appointments for those like me that cannot easily leave work early. My appointment was for 7 PM, but I found out that they have appointments until 9 PM. This center features 4 MRI's, and complements the 2 additional MRI's in the main campus. Also, they are looking to get 2 more MRI's for a total of 8. The lobby was very clean upon my arrival and the receptionist was polite. Not super personable, but polite. When my name was called, I was greeted by Lauren, who showed me where to secure my metal personal effects and showed me where to wait until I was called in to the procedure room. Lauren was very polite and personable. After only a 2-3 minute wait, my MRI technician, Mark, called me into the procedure room. Mark was very polite and provided a very thorough explanation of the MRI process and what to expect. He was the consummate professional, hooked me up with my choice of Pandora music and before I knew it, 25 minutes had passed and the procedure was over. This is an excellent facility.

My doctor remotely diagnosed sciatica, prescribed some meds and asked me to get X-ray's. Luckily, this spot was a few miles away so I had the orders faxed here. The kind staff who helped me check in were very helpful although they couldn't find my doctor's fax! I was very disappointed but they called my doctor's office snd got a new fax in something like 30 minutes. Apparently, my original fax was somewhere in a pile of 1600 faxes! Still, the staff saved the day. I was seen quickly and Jennifer the X-ray technician was very patient and professional. Getting changed and on the table was a slow process for me but ultimately, the X-rays were successfully taken. Now, I wait for my doctor to recommend a course of action. Life is good with professional medical care.

I called and spoke to the office manger , she told me she would look into it. She didn't call me back so I called her back. She said she spoke to the nurse and the nurse said she had come in and told me the Doctor would be coming in shortly. That was an absolute lie. So she basically said I was lying. Even if she didn't believe me she should have acted as though she did and apologized. That's all I wanted, was an apology. I hope she gets the sh--ts and stock in traffic in public transportation. By the way that nurse no longer works there. Awesome, saves me from being less than the Christian man that am.
