Though it is ranked as $$$$, that is only in relation to the other restaurants in the area. You'll pay just a little bit more here than you would or a fish and chips meal in London. The effort and attention to detail the chef, cooks, and owners put into their food, beer/wine list, and ambiance made this restaurant our favorite of our whole European trip. Hamont-Achel is a quirky town that has the feel of a town out of the American 60's, so walking into the restaurant and finding a modern and delicious Italian restaurant was quite a surprise. Instead they decide what they put and charge you 18 euros for a 12 cm diameter plate. The only thing making it two starts is the nice room. Unfortunately, though it is not heated enough, so going in winter should be done with thick pullover. Staff is friendly, but the Parfume cloud is too strong making you having to wait for a moment before eating.

My three favorite dishes to order here for a main entrée are spaghetti alla carbonara, spaghetti alla bolognese and penne alla panna e prosciutto (pieces of ham in a cream sauce). They are all perfect portions and taste amazing. All meals come with bread and herbed butter. Limoncello makes an appearance every now and then sure dinner. The cappuccino here is also very good. Service is top-notch and with the dim lighting the atmosphere here is romantic and a little classy. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for some good Italian at a really nice place.
