He was honest,…read morehard working, communicates often and thoroughly, and most importantly he's extremely knowledgeable about what will sell, how you should price things and how to squeeze every nickel out of an estate. He was also completely transparent every step of the way. I hired an antique appraiser along with Arthur, but in several cases Arthur was more knowledgeable. He found better ways to sell some silver and gold in the house as well as moved all my appliances and got a bunch for some small items that I didn't think were valuable. Finally, he was upfront with his pricing. I knew what the sale and clean out were going to cost and Arthur was honest about what we were likely to make so I could make a good decision going in. Then he went in and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend him for your needs.

If you're looking for estate sales services, it's likely already a challenging time in your life…read more We were so blessed to come across Arthur at Afternoon Estate Sales. From our very first conversation, my wife and I knew that Arthur was the professional we were looking for. He was very knowledgeable; setting very realistic expectations for the process, the timeline, and what our likely results would be. He handled EVERYTHING from the second we shook hands through the end of the estate sale weeks later. The true reason to hire Arthur though is his honesty and integrity. More than a few times he brought our attention to some items that we would have never known the value of and he could have taken advantage of that. Instead, he informed us of what we had and let us decide how we wanted to proceed. When it was time to execute the estate sale, he had people lined up outside the door. There are some people that show up to these estate sales with the intention of exploiting families who are unfamiliar with the process or don't know the true value of their items. He deftly negotiated with these people in a way that we would have never been able to. When it was all said and done, he delivered well over the valuations that he had projected. We appreciate the realistic expectations he set at the beginning of the process as well as his ability to exceed those expectations. You really can't afford to NOT hire Arthur. Trust us, you'll be glad you did!

I recently completed an estate sale for my mother that Glenda Reed managed for us. We could not…read morehave been happier with our experience and outcome. I highly recommend Glenda for any estate sale you might be considering. My mother's house, sadly, was heavily cluttered and in disrepair. From the beginning, Glenda was undaunted. She jumped in to clean, uncover and inventory valuable items, price the items, and organized/staged them in an appealing and buyer-efficient way. Through Glenda's significant experience, she was able to balance both sides of an estate sale. As the client, I had multiple goals, including earning money, clearing the house to prepare for its sale, and closing a chapter of my family's life on an uplifting note, knowing that my mother's belongings were making other's happy. For the buyers, their goal is to get things they really want and if their are willing to take a little risk, get those items at further discounted prices as the sale progresses over multiple days. Glenda met all those goals. The proceeds from the sale exceeded all expectations, with the vast majority of items sold (the rest to charity), and the uplifting closure we were looking for. And while there are always a few ornery buyers who want deep discounts on day 1, the vast majority of buyers (hundred of them a day) left each day with very happy smiles on their faces. Lastly, Glenda doesn't operate alone. She surrounds herself with a regular team that knows Glenda's process inside and out, executes its role flawlessly, and treated the sale with the respect and dignity it deserved. Glenda and team, thank you for helping make a difficult and emotional event one that we will look back on with very good memories.

Rude to customers saying it's too much of a discount when their prices are crazy high, no one else would buy them. Went on last day and they had some much stuff left because of their high prices. Wouldn't hire them for any estate sale.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!…read more Rudeness ss to my friends and neighbors is not even a close second to my major upset with this company. I am EXTREMELY angry about what my items sold for. These are only examples according to the sale sheet I received: *I had a 72" and a 65" television. They sold both of these for $325. *They sold all my "green dishes" for $80. This was a collection of Jadeite. One cup costs $24 online! *This is not to mention my entire NEW TempurPedic bed, mattress and ottoman sold for $850. *Two antique credenzas sold for $180 for both. *My one of a kind leather sectional reclining sofa plus my new dining table with bench and 4 chairs (according to the sale sheet) sold for a total of $850. I know each and every item that I had for sale. Some items disappeared from my house and are not listed on the sale sheet. At the end of the sale, only the expensive items had been sold. We still had a house full of stuff I had to dispose of myself. Please be aware. This company has no idea what items are valuable collectibles and which items are high-end. Makes me wonder who bought these items or are they in a warehouse somewhere.

This is an email I sent to Tammy Moss after our estate sale…read more 6/2/2025 Ref: Diane Grant Estate Sale Dear Tammy, I am very disappointed in you and the trust that you betrayed. For a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house, with some high-end things, patio furniture and collectibles, with most everything for sale, and the total sale amounted to $4,304? Several of our friends who attended said that you were rude to them and aloof to others. They said that many items were priced extremely high and some with no prices, and when asked about a lower price, you said that "these people" will not go down on any price and the marked price was final. Several times, during our conversations, both Diane and I expressly told you that we would be happy for you to negotiate on any prices, as we needed to sell as much as possible and that we trusted you to do the right thing; I am afraid you did not do the right thing Tammy! The day after, I saw many over-priced items, like an old gas-powered edger that was priced at $150! I sold it for $20, and it did not even crank for the man .... he took it! Also, our contract stated that you would arrange for a local charity to pick up remaining items and you did not do that. When I called, you said you were on your way to a meeting. We waited for your call and had it all boxed up, no call. We packed it all up and took it to a local charity. I know we had a lot of stuff and that you and you had to do a lot of work; we appreciated that. There were many things in the attic that I told you about, that we could not get out because we were exhausted; they were still there. Maybe that was too much to ask and I can understand that. I hope that you can do better for future estate sales and that you might research the collectibles rather than give them away and that you might help them with their donations. Maybe we should have been on the pricing, but you told us that your team would do the research. Caveat emptor - I learned in college! I am afraid my trust in you overshadowed my education and common sense. Shame on me, shame on you. Jim Randle
