I sat in his chair and he asked what I wanted - I showed him a photo of me with the cut I wanted and he responded with "perfect. That's all I need" Well, he started cutting away and throughout the cut it seemed like he had envisioned something else. He said "if we cut like this, it'll be better" and I hesitated on every suggestion but I said "as long as it'll give me the look like the photo I showed you". He told me no worries and to essentially trust the process. Well. Towards the end of the cut, I wasn't seeing the vision and he kept apologizing and saying things like "well I already cut over here. Can't fix it" and kept saying "ya sorry, your hair is hard to cut". He suggested "you just have to grow your hair back out" - like, come on, he was cutting 5-6inches of hair down to the skin. It'll take me months to get my hair back. At the end he said "next time bring more pictures" - I told him I had more and that he claimed that was perfect and that was all he needed. He blamed me. He still charged me full price. Seriously?? I paid anyway because I didn't want the trouble but I felt wronged here.

I've been going to a SALON and seeing the same stylist for years but she was on a vacation and I needed a haircut. It's only by luck I stumbled upon this place and oh I'm sooo happy I did! The first place I went had an hour wait and the second one had a teenager working that looked 16. Right away I was greeted with kindness and respect by the male owner (I believe his wife also owns it), told him my situation, what I wanted and he certainly delivered! Like he mentioned, a barber shop is completely different from a salon, especially when it comes to men's haircuts, and I wish I understood that years ago. I'm used to a 10-15min haircut, his was easily double that, extremely detailed and meticulous! I also decided to do a fade for the first time ever, and again, I am so mad I haven't been doing it for years, completely changes the dynamic of the haircut and makes you look way younger. I saw all the reviews for Bebe (again I assume his wife), but not enough reviews for him that are very much deserved. There is no doubt that he is my new permanent barber, I will be returning every few weeks, and I will probably never go back to the salon I've been going to for 8+ years.

My scalp feels inflamed after leaving, but I'm told she needs to scrub that hard to get it all out. *shrug* The eyebrow wax, though, let me TELL you. This lady is the best. All that you want in a wax: not lava hot temperatured wax, quick, and an EXQUISITE shape. She instinctively knows how to bring out the best shape for your eyebrow, and she's literally done is 4 strokes or less. The quickest hands in the West!

He listened to what I said, took the photo I showed into consideration, and asked questions along the way. He asked where I part my hair and made sure that the length in front (and back, which was my biggest concern) was to my liking. I LOVE how he cut my hair because it's exactly what I wanted. I almost always get someone who gives me 80-90% of what I wanted, but it always misses the mark somewhere and this was absolutely perfect. I used to over-tweeze and generally draw my eyebrows really badly. I also had a hard time know what a good shape was. Ashley not only provided high quality microblading (creating a shape I LOVE), but she taught me how to do a little extra shaping with a pencil when I wanted to. She even gave me her favorite pencil type. I get compliments on my brows all the time.
