I called them up again recently to install some trim coil on a porch overhang and they did a very good job. While they were here, I requested a quote for some additional work. Received the quote at the end of September and one of the owners said he would get to me in a couple of weeks. Arrangements were made for them to come out to do the work during the middle part of October. I sent a text the night before they were supposed to arrive and requested to postpone the work due to the fact that it had been raining all week and was going to be all muddy and messy outside (as a courtesy to them). I mentioned of getting back together once it was all dry again. Well, today, an entire month later, I get a call from one of the co-owners (John) offering to do the work we spoke about nearly two months ago. His excuse for just now getting back in touch with me - they have been busy and I turned them away -- which I didn't - simply requested a delay to the rain that was going on that week. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't need my headache and that I could find someone else to do the work. His tone to me as a paying customer was egregious and completely out of line! Not to mention he sounded like he had smoked two packs of cigarettes a day for the past 40 years. We parted ways and I told him what he could do. In my opinion, these guys didn't want the work in the first place because it wasn't going to be a big enough money job. Yet again, it is so hard to find people to pay to do work for you around here! I will find someone else who truly values their customers and doesn't call them a 'smartass' on the phone!

She took the time to understand our wants and our budget. She helped us choose the materials and the project turned out beautifully. When it was time for installation, they went above and beyond our expectations. I was fully expecting to have to pay a plumber to install the new basin, faucet, garbage disposal and reconnect to the plumbing. When I inquired about who we should call, Tami's response was, "You don't think we can handle that for you?" Some may find Tami's no-nonsense approach to sales and installation a bit abrasive. She doesn't tell you what you want to hear. Her long history in the business provides extensive experience and knowledge. She is looking out for your best interest. I'm not looking for a "friend." I want someone who is competent, experienced and will get the job done correctly. Anytime someone is looking for kitchen renovations, the Countertop Shop is the first place I recommend to friends, family and clients. Aside from the quality of work and overall experience, the Countertop Shop is a locally owned business that truly gives back to the community. Tami and her husband volunteer countless hours in the local Scouting Program, our Historic Miner's Theater and numerous community festivals. Their volunteerism isn't for vanity. Most of their work is done quietly, behind the scenes. I am thankful to have them in our community. Keep up the great work!

He even brought me 3 four-foot pieces of vinyl so that we could see which color looked the best. Cico was the foreman he made sure that everything was done correctly and would ask periodically if everything looked right. There were only a couple small items, and he fixed them immediately. His crew was friendly and worked very hard and long hours. I love my new siding, and if we ever need a new roof Allen Roofing and siding will be the first company I call.
