The campground has magnificent view over the lake and surrounding moutains. The facilities are just sufficient though.

Not sure how this title got awarded to me by a bunch of strangers in my class, but somehow Buzz (one of the teachers) thinks that Kyla and I strip. Kyla and I are the youngest students in the class by about 30 years, and, well, how can I say this nicely, this isn't the classiest of courses to take... but for $80 what can you expect? Bring your humor and your creativity and you can get a lot out of a class like this. I scored high on my mom's "Who is my favorite child this holiday list" because I made her a turquoise pendent for Mother's day/her 60th birthday. The same group of teachers have been putting on the class for the past 30 years, and although some of them seem a bit grouchy, tired and pissed that we are all there... I think they have fun teaching us. $80 is the cost of the course, and it buys you 10 different days of two-hour classes and you get to make three different projects: a pendent, a lightning bolt bracelet, and a box ring. This class takes a lot of patience and attention to detail... You will especially fit in nicely if you wear overalls and bring your toolbox full of jewelry making tools.... Kyla instead found me a purple caboodle that is in great condition, and this has worked just great... Except nobody seems to know what a caboodle is in the class. This class is not acceptable for people who get very competitive because there will always be that person who has worked on the sawing of their silver while they were home watching "Dancing with the Stars" this past week, and you will always be behind them, so don't even try. Overall, this is a great way to awaken on your creative side and do something different. And men, don't be shy, there are tons of gents in the class... And a guy that knows how to make jewelry will always get you extra brownie points. Hyland Hills also offers other exciting creative adventures such as: Skydiving simulator, tap dance, or disc golf... among other goodies and adventures. * Star one is for offering a creative outlet to the public that is affordable, accessible and instructive ** Meet star number two, he is presented to the sliversmithing class for allowing me to become an amateur stripper... Hey, where are the tips anyway? *** Star three is for the opportunity to make jewelry on equipment that is hard to have access to otherwise Star four was stolen due to the lack of sexiness in the class... I mean, obviously Kyla and I were sexy, but the process is more frustrating and rushed then encouraging and innovative. Mista star five was taken way due to the ghetto and far location off of Federal.

The lines for all the rides and the parking lot were overflowing. Having to wait 40 minutes in like for a slide felt like too long and everywhere you looked was packed. I feel like there should be a limit to the number of tickets sold per day to avoid having such crowds. We probably only did 4 slides total since we had to wait so long for the next one. I left wanting for more adventure and less lines. Will have to go back on a weekday.

We've been here twice now and I can honestly say this is the best water park I've been to. First of all, it is SO CLEAN! No trash, no bugs, nothing -- it's honestly shocking. Secondly, it's massive! There are so many slides here and it's a great place for adults and kids, since they have different levels of thrill. Additionally, the slides are pretty unique! There are several slides with immersive theming that we were very impressed by. They do have your standard slides, but if you are looking for something more unique they have that too! Both times we've come here was on a weekend and we've never had a problem finding chairs or waiting in lines for food. This past time we went we got the tube valet and it was 100% worth it. If you are on the fence about it, I would highly recommend it. It's way less wait times and you don't have to carry your tube up the big hills. Additionally, as someone who is very sensitive to heat, this was a game changer for me. I would not visit Water World again without this purchase! They also let you bring in your own food and drinks in a cooler, which is very rare to find at any kind of theme park these days. In my experience, the food and drink available for purchase was pretty reasonable for a theme park, not overly expensive. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and will absolutely be back.

The camps have been organized, safe, and my kids have enjoyed them. I saw one review mentions an issue with the adult:student ratio, but our experience has been that there are always 2 adults (teacher and assistant) with no more than 12 students K-5. They've attended more than 15 camps and all the teachers and assistants have been good. One time, summer camp was canceled due to low enrollment, but it was not a surprise. Bronwyn from sales reached out in advance to let me know it was possible, and when it was canceled I received a full refund. Obviously, it's not financially sustainable for them to host a camp with 2 adults and 3 kids, so I understood and appreciated their transparency. Right now, Colorado has a "stay at home" executive order, and all schools are closed so I'm working full-time from home with a 1st grader and a 2nd grader. Mad Science to the rescue! They are offering 2 virtual classes each day. The price is affordable, and since I registered in advance they delivered the materials to my doorstep. I also misunderstood and thought they'd provide all printouts, which I needed since our printer ink won't arrive until later this week. Samy (the owner) dropped those off, as well. The classes are really engaging, and it allows me 2+ hours each day to get focused work done. Bottom line is Mad Science Colorado has great teachers, great camps, great classes, and great customer service.

I even learned they offer the class community things like social gatherings for the holidays, a summer camp for focused training, semester seminars, and even an annual banquet that celebrates everyone's hard work. In this day and age, there are not many that do this. I will continue to support and remain a student of Pai Lum White Dragon Martial Arts.

The training is demanding and you get the results of the work you put into it. I have lost 50lbs and am in my best physical condition in many years. Sifu Post is an excellent motivator and is dedicated to the success and development of his students at all levels. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and I am grateful to have the support and encouragement of my Pai Lum brothers and sisters. There have been many examples of the organization, and its students, going well beyond expectations to support each other in the short time that I have been here. In addition to a wide range of class options: beginners to advanced, kids, teens, and adults, private and group, the school offers special clinics (summer camp is the best!), tournaments and other opportunities like picnics and banquets for students to come together. I highly recommend Pai Lum White Dragon Martial Arts. It is a great place to develop your physical and mental well being and build lasting relationships in a positive environment.

We only made it halfway through our group before one of us got stuck on the second line. It took a few minutes to get them unstuck and over to the other side. After that, with no warning, the instructor told us to follow him and said we were going to hike back to the rest of the group. When I asked if something was wrong, he gave me no response. Once we rejoined the other half of our group, our other guide explained that our trip was being cancelled and that we'd need to hike back down. This was shocking and disappointing to all of us--especially the children in our party, who had travelled from out of state and specifically picked this zip-line as the thing they most wanted to do in Colorado. It wasn't worth the long drive just to get up there and have the plug pulled on us with no explanation. I will say the front desk was very kind and helpful. After hearing our account of what happened, they issued us a full refund. Overall, it was a disappointing trip that left all of us confused about what went wrong.
