With a very limited selection and sky-high prices, don't even bother looking; you won't be able to afford anything but the disdainful stares of the owner. The second is the antique store garbage dump store. It smells, things are piled every which way, and everything is filthy dirty. It's cheap but you are pretty sure that something may have died in there and you feel a little dirty just looking. So having said all of this, I come now to Father Time Antiques. This store falls into neither of the aforementioned categories. Father Time is spacious, well-lit and without a pungent odor. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The store's offerings, via many different vendor booths, displays and cases, are diverse and reasonable-prized. A great place for vintage and antique furniture, lighting, jewelry, glassware, knickknacks and just about everything in-between. Also, every purchase is impeccably packaged to make sure it makes it home with you in the same condition you bought it in.

Antiques on Belknap is by far the best antique store in the Duluth, MN and the Superior, WI area!…read more My wife and I scheduled 2 days to visit EVERY antique store in Duluth and in Superior. We were able to visit all of them except for two, which closed early...because of cold weather...or whatever. When we finally got to Belknap I was amazed at the huge quantity of high quality items crammed into one small building! You have to look close, every square inch is packed with stuff. And don't forget to look up. There are some awesome larger items hanging from the rafters in the ceiling. The whole place is owned by a very nice woman named Janet. All of the merchandise is hers...no "antique mall" with hundreds of small vendors and their stupid little nick-nacks. It's all 100% Janet. This explains the quality. And it explains her willingness to carry a few larger items that you'd never see at a mall. My wife and I like big items. We bought a 1951 movie poster that's 7 feet wide and 2 feet tall with striking images and the original billboard scalloped frame. We also bought a 1930s flour advertising poster that's 4 feet wide and 1 foot tall with really cool graphics and shrink wrapped safely on a cardboard backing. Seriously one of the cutest bookstores I have ever been to. Outside they painted it to look like…read morebooks on a shelf. Indoors is small but long with lots of books. They might not have as many books as a Barnes and nobles but they have staff that can help you order books you want. The display were very cute and in their selections I found j book I never heard of but definitely will be reading. Actually I started it then stopped because I am reading another book on my kindle and listening to another on my audibles. They also have several small trinkets. I could spend a long time in here . The books aren't going to have that massive sales price but seriously these small bookstores are gems. We would be supporting them because they feel more like a cozy shop than a huge corporation.
