Everyone is so welcoming and they truly truly care about each child as an individual and supporting them across all domains (intellectual, social, emotional, etc). They have the best office staff/program directors/owner who are all so involved with the kids on a daily basis and make you feel like family :) Without fail, my daughter is always so happy after spending a day at her school. They make great effort to provide a variety of extracurricular opportunities for the students which is so helpful for the kids to do their extracurricular lessons during the school day. I'm so grateful we found Young Minds to lay the foundation for our kids' early learning experiences. As a fellow educator, I can confidently say we hit the jackpot with Young Minds

Thoughts from a CPM graduate: I attended CPM from 1st grade…read morethrough 5th, I will graduate high school in 2026. To say I am grateful I went to Cedar Park Montessori would not be enough, this school impacted me in so many ways, it allowed me to embrace my creativity, ask questions, learn to share and pay attention and ultimately blossom into who I am now! I read once in a book, something along the lines of "If you're taught wrong in elementary school, you'll be trying to catch that train for the rest of your life." Through my experiences at other schools, they teach you very uniform, everyone is learning at the same speed and you are taught that raising your hand just makes the lesson longer, nobody likes a teachers pet or a goody two shoes. Whatever you do... Don't challenge popular beliefs, you are taught to follow the system. CPM is quite literally the opposite, you are encouraged to look at things differently and ask "why?" I used to question "why does this math problem even work?" And at CPM, I was greeted with an actual teacher who wanted me to understand not just pass. It's a smaller more personal learning environment where instead of memorizing you actually learn!!! And its at YOUR pace, not the kids next to you, when you first grasp something it's beautiful and at CPM that feeling was honored by teachers and staff, at CPM the reward isn't it in the candy it's in the understanding. I learned how to love learning at CPM. This is my greatest strong suit; being able to find joy in seeking knowledge. Thats my favorite takeaway. After CPM I went to a public middle school, it was a bit rocky adjusting, not only to the education system but because Montessori kids are so much more emotionally aware. But by having good roots and being taught morals young, I was able to choose my path, I didn't fall into the wrong group, and to this day I've never given into peer pressure, (I know very few teenagers can say that!) and not to toot my own horn, but, im aware that my maturity level is higher than many of my peers because of my early education. I can't thank my parents enough for choosing CPM, truly, one day, I wish to give my child the education and opportunities my parents gave me by enrolling me at Cedar Park Montessori.

But we weren't going to move her unless we could get her into a new place. I received a phone call to come in and to tour the school and was informed they are waitlisted and won't have space. On that call, I mentioned that maybe it's best I just skip since we're only trying to move if we can get in her somewhere, not just to waitlist. They said no please come in and tour, it's very likely we can get her in after I mentioned I wasn't going to tour then. I toured the school. It appeared nice; kids looked happy. After speaking with the owner for a bit she kept mentioning there's people on her waitlist that have been ghosting her multiple attempts to enroll and it's very likely she will get in. "just give her a few days". We regretfully signed up my daughter on the waitlist and signed up my son for after school care that wouldn't start until the fall school year begin. Well days became weeks and still nothing. I attempted to contact the school to try to get some information on what was happening. The first day I the phones weren't working. I was later able to contact the Assistant Director who was unable to provide me any information or help me whatsoever. Not sure how an Assistant Director can't provide any information on what is going on with the status of my daughter if you're the Assistant Director. I explained other schools have openings and I need to know what is going on with my daughter being the fact it was basically 'duped' to us that she would get it. They would not provide me any information. We ended up having to enroll in another school because I can't take the risk of not getting in when they have space because another school is unable to provide me information. Eventually they reached out the following week and was like yeah, you're SOL and this is good feedback for the future that we should provide communication. LOL what? We said forget it and disenrolled our son for after care well over a month before anything was supposed to start. In the end my family and I are out $900 and my kids never even seen the place. I honestly don't even think they situation we were told about was true and they just lied/duped us to make it seem like she would get in and took our money. I understand paying a deposit. Everyone does it. Although Goddard is certainly the highest, I've ever seen. It's nearly double the Preps and Primrose. What is terrible is the about half of the $900 is for other 'fees, future enrollment, supplies" etc. whatever they want to call it. Besides the deposit, the rest of that money should be returned to us. My kids never even went to the school and disenrolled week above months' notice. I hope they enjoyed our $900 and making us feel duped to think we'd even get it in. If you tour the school, do not sign up unless you have a spot.

The rest of this review is an issue with the owner, Rochelle. To sum up she made me feel like my daughter was unsafe and this issue now made my daughter unwelcome to return to class. The issue began when Christina was gone and no one else confirmed my daughter was ready to come back to school after being sent home with a fever (I sent a note via chat letting them know she will be returning the next day). I understood that they needed a Dr.'s note or that we wait a full 24 hours (her fever broke at noon that same day). What I felt was unnecessary and set the rest in motion was when another teacher, Ms.Vanity, felt the need to apologize for the situation and say she saw my message and figured someone else would respond. No one else responded and now I had to make adjustments at work. This made me distrust Prep N Play. If an incident were to occur and Ms. Christina wasn't there, no one would feel the need to help, protect, and ensure my daughter's safety. When I addressed this with Rochelle, she apologized BUT they were just following policy in sending her home. I brought up other issues where communication is not being received by other teachers that sub in and she felt the need to explain to me why that is inaccurate. Rochelle could not understand my fear and left me feeling like my daughter was completely unsafe. After that emotional conversation, Rochelle called back at 6pm and confronted me saying I was rude to her and she is wondering if my daughter would be a good fit for the school. This made me feel that whenever I have a concern, Rochelle is unwilling to address and follow with a change. Her ego is more important to her than my daughter's safety. She has no empathy or sense of understanding. I was in shock that if she was going to make this call she couldn't have waited until the morning. Her lack of professionalism amazes me. I can't expect that only when Ms. Christina is there that she will be safe. The purpose of this review is to remind parents to really get to know the owners, sometimes accidents happen due to their inability to take action. This was a result of a simple issue. I can't imagine how she would handled a larger issue of any kind.

We were part of a larger brand name daycare before we moved here and it not did deliver the way Prep N Play has. Rochelle, Jeff, and everyone at Prep N Play really love my child and take their time with her. She comes home happy every day chattering away about all the activities she did or about all the new things she learned. Our pediatrician is so impressed with how advanced she is for a child her age and I give Rochelle all the credit. The way she structures her Montessori curriculum with life skills application is genius. I am a former public school teacher and I can see how my daughter not only learns the material but can also apply that knowledge. My daughter has also made lasting friendships and is excited to go to school in the morning. This makes my life so much easier. With the brand name daycare she would cry and be upset she had to go. Now, she is happy and cannot wait to see her friends. I am so grateful to Jeff and Rochelle for all they have done for my girl and her little sister will be joining Prep N Play very soon!

One of our kids went through the…read moreentire elementary program, and the other has been here since preschool and is currently in elementary--and I genuinely couldn't be more grateful for the experience. What makes this school stand out is the personal care and attention every child receives. It's not just about academics (which are strong), but about helping kids grow into confident, kind, and thoughtful individuals. At the center of it all is Ms. Kalika, the principal. She doesn't just lead--she sets the culture of the school in a very real and hands-on way. Her presence, values, and commitment to each child show up in everything the school does. One of the things we've especially appreciated is their participation in the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) program. It gives kids a unique level of exposure and global perspective at such a young age--something we found incredibly valuable and rare. Sapientia has played a big role in shaping our kids--not just academically, but in who they're becoming as people. If you're looking for a school where your child will be truly seen, challenged, and supported every step of the way, I'd highly recommend Sapientia Montessori.

We wanted a solution for childcare for our toddler twins at that point, and we'd observed some of our friends' children exit their early years in Montessori with the calm confidence we wanted for our kiddos. At Sapienta, our girls were welcomed with kind hearts. The guides (teachers) provided the resources to not only build a foundation for learning but a love for it as well. This fostered our girls' ability to read by age four. Their enjoyment of books grew exponentially over the next 10+ years, helping place them in the gifted program. Their achievements weren't limited to language arts. They excelled in every subject as they transferred to public education for middle school. The nine years they spent at Sapientia Montessori--three of them with the school director as lead teacher in the elementary class--gave them a springboard into academic achievement. Today, that investment in their Montessori education has resulted in grades, test scores, and critical thinking that are getting them accepted into the country's top engineering and aeronautical programs. We eventually made it off the wait list for that Austin school, but we chose to stay at Sapientia for the community and dedication to a child-centered approach to learning. If we had it to do again, we wouldn't change a thing.

It was beyond unsatisfactory, it was unsafe. I am a first time mother and there are now flags that I will never miss again. For one, this claims to be a Montessori based program in philosophy, but there are bouncers in the room. Infant room usage of containers was excessive. I received photos of my child in a bouncer regularly and was a bit confused by this as we don't ever use them at home. What I later found was that my child was having difficulty sleeping on site and the team were allowing him to sleep in the bouncer because he refused otherwise. Odd given that he has never slept in one at home. The overuse of Boppy pillows with incorrect and unsafe body positioning was alarming; I received a photo while my child was sliding down it and crying. My child came home with one of the worst rashes he has ever had, red inflamed blotchy skin from front to back. Come to find out chatting with other parents this was a concern shared with their team. The teachers will allay your concerns and say no worries and they'll change the baby every hour, but there seems to be communication breakdowns between morning and afternoon staff. Our final straw was safe sleep and bottle propping. I shared concerns with the director of me directly observing my son being placed to sleep on his stomach and that a child had milk spilling down her face while bottle was propped as she was in a boppy pillow. Not much changed. Around the same time licensing came in and per their report (which is public!) the inspector observed 5 different infants put to sleep on their bellies. My impression became after this inspection my sons teacher blamed me for this inspection as she told another parent it was due to parent complaint, taking zero responsibility for the fact the entire infant team nearly was engaging in UNSAFE and DANGEROUS sleep practices. I understand mistakes. I do not understand team culture disregarding what major organizations and trainings provided state. Infants can die from that. It is beyond ridiculous to even behave in a passive aggressive fashion towards a parent for this concern but also to try to lie when the information is public. The pressure to grow and add more children is showing on these educators and caregivers. Slow down, sunrise. The care has gone from what years ago folks were thrilled about to turning into worse than a major daycare corp.
