I was looking to get a beautiful bouquet for Mother's Day and Devynn's Garden seemed like a good choice based on other Yelpers' recommendations. I called in the middle of the week and asked about options. The prices seemed quite reasonable but since all arrangements are custom, it was hard to visualize or describe what it was that I wanted. I figured they are the experts here and I took a leap of faith. When I saw the photo of the arrangement they made for my mom, I was pretty satisfied. There was a good variety of flowers and colors. There were orchids, sunflowers, daisies, and other beautiful flowers. It was a good experience and I would use them again. read more

Arguably the most valuable reviews on yelp are for flower shops. You could always try out a restaurant or bar with a minimal investment but getting crappy flowers for a special occasion is much more of a burden. I am super picky about my flower arrangements and I banked on yelp users this time around for my anniversary flowers. What I normally do is call a place up, tell them I want an arrangement for a certain dollar amount and then I see what they come up with. Usually my only specification is NO CARNATIONS b/c I think they epitomize cheap! I like to specify color (i.e. I love RED roses for anniversaries) but this time they didn't ask and I didn't volunteer. What I ended up with was a beautiful bouquet made of pink, yellow, and purple roses, lilies, gerbers, and flowers I recognize but don't know! ;) The flowers are super fresh, the leaves are greener than any I've ever gotten, and the whole thing just smells and looks amazing. It's hard for me to say how much this place costs because like I said, I give them a price point they need to work within. For the price, this is about as great of an arrangement as I've ever had. Yay, a new flower shop popped up on 2nd Street in trendy-but-low-key-and-down-to-earth Belmont Shore, Long Beach! I never noticed this place before, but here is was, in full bloom on the corner of East 2nd Street! It's right next door to Belmont Nails, which is next door to Pinkberry if you're familiar with the area. This place deserves 5 stars because you get beautiful, colorful flowers at a fraction of the price of the other florists on 2nd Street. For instance, a healthy looking Gerber Daisy in all sorts of colors....pink, red, yellow, yellow & pink, and white....is only $1.50 per stem. The stems are nice and long too! There are also a bunch of unique looking plants on display. I liked the cactus/flower plants in the clay pots sitting together on one of the tables. It was pretty affordable. Devynn's Garden is a great place to browse for flowers because it has such a great selection, all at great prices. read more

This is our go to place for flowers. The arrangements usually last a little less than grocery stores but they customize them so we like them better so why 3 stars mainly for freshness. My partner surprised me on August 18 with a beautiful flower arrangement and the next day the hydrangea was wilted everything else is still ok. I went in and told a girl yesterday after walking by from dinner and she didn't offer another one I could of bought another one for 3.99 but choose not to. I love supporting small local business but the flowers should last if they are purchased fresh. read more

I needed flowers for my wedding anniversary so I did some research on yelp for florists near the restuarant we would be eating at. I found 2 candidates with great reviews, one of which was Devynn's. The other choice ended up being closed on Monday, the day I was looking, and I needed the flowers the very next day on Tuesday, so I went with Devynn's. I called them up and Milisa answered the phone. I let her know I needed the flowers tomorrow and I wanted to create a bouquet with flowers from my wife's wedding bouquet. I let her know I had a picture and she had me text it to her. she let me know that unfortunatly she didn't have one of the flowers, which was a deep egg plant colored calla Lilly, but said she had many other flowers this color and could create something nice. I gave her the creative freedom to do what she thought best. I finally got to see what she created at the restuarant and it was amazing. my wife, the wait staff and fellow food patrons were all wowed by the arrangement asking where they were from. My mother who helped me setup the surprise and who picked up the flowers and dropped them off at the restuarant said she was stopped several times by people on the way back to her car who were amazed at the arrangment and had to ask where they were from. Becuase of all the above I had to give Devynn's and especially Milisa 5 stars for her amazing work. Thank you so much I'm sure we will be doing business again. read more

Best flower shop ever! I go there everytime I need a gift for a birthday, a nice house warming present, a cute plant, or just a few nice flowers for my house. The store in Sunset Beach is the best, only because it is bigger and has more clothing, jewelry, purses, home goods, etc. Every time I bring flowers to a party from here, everyone always asks, "Where did you get those?" The selection here was excellent. I don't buy flowers often but when I have to pick my way through a bunch of raggedy flowers to find the one or two (if I'm luck) I will just move on and find some place better. I was quite pleased that everything I saw looked really good so I could spend my time picking things that look good together instead of being stuck with whatever looks decent. I do know that this shop is a retailer, so you can't compare prices to, let's say, downtown L.A. flower mart. But I think it's reasonable and customary prices you would expect to pay at a privately owned retail florist. Devynn's Garden is a great new addition to Belmont Shore but the business has been a local favorite for over a decade with locations in Seal Beach and Sunset Beach. Family owned and operated (and named after the eldest daughter), their newest location is on the corner of 2nd St. and Glendora Ave. Great use has been made of the small corner nook. In addition to gorgeous individual stems of fresh flowers, there are healthy looking plants and ready to go arrangements in beautiful pots and vases. The floral designers at Devynn's are very talented and of course provide arrangements for weddings and events. I've hired Devynn's in the past to provide flowers for a wedding I coordinated and we were delighted with their job. Devynn's has also contributed the only outdoor magazine rack on 2nd St., which is stocked with quite a large variety of magazines (all of which were requested by customers to be carried). read more

Milisa created such a beautiful corsage and boutonnière! She was so helpful and really understood what I wanted.. I sent her a photo of my dress and she matched the color of the arrangement with my dress perfectly ! the corsage was very durable through the night and stayed intact. The roses were absolutely beautiful and went along with the thistle and baby's breath amazingly. She was so sweet and was able to get the corsage and boutonnière done with a late notice. I used Devynn's for my wedding in September and they were great. They were recommended by my venue (Alfredo's) and Cyndi made the whole process so easy for me. I sent her pictures of bouquets that I liked and she sent me back suggestions and price estimates. My husband wanted very modest boutonnieres and was worried about having something too large and over the top. I conveyed his concerns to Cyndi and they came out perfect. I had gorgeous yellow and white roses in my bouquets, and they delivered them right to my hotel so I wouldn't have to worry about anything.
