I've been to this place more than once and the food is always great! They make it fast as well and the prices are great! If you ever stumble across this food truck get the taco combo or the alpastor fries !!

Wasn't my favorite! But the service was great and the food itself wasn't bad but-- I'm a very picky eater when it comes to Mexican food. I think the style this truck uses is more Tijuana style and I wish I had known as I don't like Tijuana style carne asada! I ordered the asada nachos and basically didn't eat any of the meat. But the nachos were still bomb! Next time I will try the other meats but just an FYI so yall know! :) overall definitely give it a try if you love a good food truck! It's worth trying!

Devorame food truck was parked outside The Broad on a Saturday morning and could not help myself when I saw they had chilaquiles. The person taking the order was very friendly and helpful and didn't look at me funny when I asked her to hold the dairy on the chilaquiles. I ordered mine with birria and they were so good!

My second time here at Devorame  food truck in two weeks. I really love their tacos. This time I tried their mulitas too. It took less than 20 minutes to prepare the order. They always have a line waiting but it moved fast. They accept cash / credit card. For this time, I ordered the following; -Birria - 2 (4) taco combo plate includes; Chicken, Alpastor, and  Asada - Mulitas Everything was flavorful. The chicken , alpastor and  their asada were juicy and tender. I loved their mulitas too. I am glad I was back  to enjoy their delicious food.

Devorame was a delicious Mexican food truck located on 7th across from Macy's. I especially was happy that it was right across the street from the shopping center that contained ample outdoor seating to enjoy the food. I had the burrito with both chicken and steak. It was delicious! The burrito was full of meat, cheese, rice and beans, but it was tightly wrapped, so everything stayed in place. My mom tried the three chicken tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were a nice portion and the rice and beans were a filling side. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and were very happy with the price point considering the amount of food that we received.

Picked up dinner here and ordered the Burrito Campechano. The burrito was gigantic, made freshly with care and griddled lightly. The staff gave me two sauces, one green and one red. Both were excellent but be warned the red has significant kick. Highly recommend for an affordable and filling meal!

After my last review, the owner reached out to rectify my experience. It appears this was a trainable situation and I appreciate them reaching out. Decided to try a new item, the sausage breakfast burrito with the red salsa. It was freshly made and a perfect way to start my day. Although, my initial visit was disappointing, I give so much credit and value to wonderful customer service. That alone deserves 4 Stars.

The burrito I got here was pretty good! Great flavors and textures and only $10! Reason I'm ranking this place as mid was because of the horchata. Probably some of the worst I've ever had. It had a weird thick soup texture and a weird after taste ugh.

After visiting the Broad Museum in DTLA, my partner and I were ravenous. It was 3 pm and we had fancy dinner reservations at 5 pm yet needed a snack to hold us over. There were several food trucks lined up with Devorame last. We went truck by truck looking at menus. Although sushi sounded good, I was weary of sushi from a food truck--judge me if you'd like ;). Yet you can never go wrong with Mexican! We ended up ordering Nachos with asada ($1 extra) for Devorame. The wait was about 10-15 minutes, however, worth every minute! The nachos came out piping hot on freshly made tortilla chips. Somehow you could taste the corn in the chips! The best part we're the refried beans which were super flavorful. The meat was placed on one side of the nachos, while the cotija cheese and avocado were on the other. I didn't mind this so much, however, they gave us two salsas in small cups (one mild and one hot). The mild salsa was unfortunately enough to also cover only half the portion of nachos... Now I will be honest that I didn't want to look up reviews for the food trucks beforehand. Yet I did afterwards and was impressed with the rating! Well done, Devorame!

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

I was there last night for a birthday gathering and boy did I feel bad taking credit for coming to Mirate. The menu has completely shrunk, the best appetizers and entrees are no longer available and the service staff seems to have had a lot of turnover. I believe their previous chef (who was a genius) is gone and boy was that felt both in the food preparation and in the menu items themselves. They have also gotten much more budget friendly which would usually be a positive but when I'm in an establishment as beautiful and eclectic as this one with an entire tree running thru the middle I am expecting high end unique dinner items which previously felt worth the cost that are just not present anymore. Additionally of the 3 carne asada steaks that were ordered only one was medium rare. The other 2 had to be sent back and the Branzino's we ordered were tiny and pretty dry with no sauce or lemon on them at all. Very disappointed with what this restaurant has become and I most likely will not come back. With such an upscale feel there should be a menu and a staff that matches. I browsed the menu and had a really hard time deciding, but ended up on the cauliflower rajas taco, the crispy shrimp taco & the vegan Korean BBQ taco. The waiter recommended the crispy shrimp taco, but I actually enjoyed the vegetarian tacos more. I love cauliflower and poblano so that taco was a great starter. So much flavor and a variety of textures. The tortillas were super flavorful too. The potato taquitos came next and I am actually obsessed.
