They have a great selection of floral arrangements and are reasonably priced. When I saw the arrangement, I knew it was perfect. The name of the arrangement was fitting for the occasion, "Hello Doll". I called on a Saturday and spoke with Laura. She was very sweet and helpful. She explained the difference in pricing and when new flowers arrived in their shop. I was able to make my purchase on their website safely and was able to select my delivery date. I ordered the flowers on Saturday and it was delivered on Monday. It arrived just in time for our aunt to receive them and see and feel all of our Aloha that we sent from across the Pacific Ocean. an ex boyfriend of mine has a habit of sending me flowers long after I've ended the relationship in lieu of actually talking to me and addressing the issues that caused our rift. The 1st time several years ago he used an online flower retailer to send me an expensive bouquet, expecting me to be so overcome by the floral excess that I'd immediately call him hoping to reconcile. The flowers I received (NOT FROM DEVONWOODS) were hideous! They were in an old vase that was hopelessly outdated (iridescent glazed mold poured ceramic) that appeared to have been found at a garage sale and it was wilting carnations and a few shriveled roses. I never called to thank him so he called me and hinted that I should be receiving crystal vase with Orchids and some other exotic expensive fragrant flower. I felt bad for him being ripped off. I had thrown out the ugly flowers and vase without photographing them so he didn't know how bad, only that I stated that "most girls hate carnations". He was pretty embarrassed and angry at the switch by the florist. 7 years later this same ex decides to send me flowers again. (we reconciled briefly, long after the sad flower debacle, which we shared laughs about years later). This time he called Devonwoods and had a classic but breathtaking vase of giant impossibly perfect roses sent to me. The kind of flowers that everyone says "Holy moly those are beautiful" with envy and curiosity in their voices. Well, I was still furious with him, but good on him for doing research and sending flowers that actually caused pause. The flowers came with a beautiful card and a cute foil wrapped chocolate heart. so cute. He is still a huge jerk, but damn those roses were gorgeous. I moved them around my place from room to room so their beauty and fragrance would enhance each room of my apt for weeks. They were unreal! People who came over would stop and admire the flowers, even men! (gay men, but still!). so any future ex boyfriends of mine, take note. I hate apology flowers, but if you must, get them here. I found Devonwoods on Yelp, and I'm SO glad I did! I called and spoke to one of the owners, Riz, who took amazing care & attention on the phone while asking for details about my order. I try very hard when possible to use local florists/businesses when possible and it really pays off-- especially in this case. I live about 3,000 miles away and was ordering a condolence arrangement for my family who lost a pet this week. Riz understood how important pets can be & assured me by saying "Its just as hard as losing a family member". Most of the time, there's no way of knowing what ends up getting delivered but Riz called to ask my email address to send me photos. I was SHOCKED at how beautiful the arrangement was-- and I know for a fact that what was delivered was well beyond what I had paid for. The detail in the hand-written card, the beautiful flowers(no cheap carnations!), the vase-- every detail was so well cared for. Its clear that they know their business and take great pride in what they do-- beautiful work with outstanding customer service. I wish I could find service this wonderful in NY! I was concerned about the one star rating left by another Yelper, but I read other reviews from several people who rated this florist as a fabulous service provider. So I called this morning at 10 AM and inquired about how long it would take to deliver flowers to St Mary's Hospital in Reno? Same day service. Ok, so what type of flowers are available? Many fresh flowers - just returned from flower market and everything was fresh. Ok, so will you call me with a confirmation of delivery? Yes, definitely. So, I placed an order for a large arrangement with sunflowers and roses and requested delivery confirmation. My total was $95 including tax and delivered to the hospital in less than two hours. I received a phone call from the shop confirming delivery including the room number at the hospital. Immediately followed by a text message from the recipient thanking me (from the hospital) for the beautiful flowers. So, my fellow Yelpers, this is a great shop with great service and they are very anxious to deliver beautiful fresh flowers as quickly as possible. Ordered flowers online for a special anniversary and also memorial service. The photos did not do the beautiful arrangement that showed up justice -- it was truly stunning! I had requested in my online order that the flowers be left on the doorstep if nobody was home, then got an email and phone calls that when nobody was home, they took the flowers back to the shop, as it was 100-degrees outside. They then attempted delivery twice more before someone was home, and I so appreciate their attentiveness to keeping the bouquet fresh and beautiful. Also when I called I got an immediate response from Elaine. 9/2/2017 Devonwoods' service is horrible! My daughter's fiancé was away all season fighting fires & was so excited to send her flowers. However, Devonwoods tried to deliver during the brief time I was away & left a note on the door. I called them & they refused to redeliver. They offered to refund the money, but at this point there has been no refund. What a horrible way to treat a young couple who've been separated while he is away fighting wildfires & is trying to send flowers to his loved one.
