I called Devon's early Monday needing my brakes looked at. Leah said they were overbooked & didn't have anyone available to take me home if I brought it in to leave with them. She promised to call if someone was able to take me home. An hour or so later she called & I took my GMC Yukon in & Devon, the owner, took me home. I expected I would be without my vehicle at least a day. She called early afternoon with a repair estimate & a promise to try to get it done before closing. Had a oil leak of some type causing smoke from the hood. He said he did diagnostic on car cleaned it and then replaced engine gasket for 850 dollars that did not work they thought a part for 150 from ford another 150 that did not work. I took it back they said some kind on pan leak now 1200 dollars mostly labor on a 2010 escape. i said no 2000 dollars for a small oil leak that they did not know how to fix I did not want to take another chance for 1200 dollars. Would NOT recommend Devons. We brought our Chrysler Pacifica van in because the air conditioning stopped working. We were charged $145 for the diagnosis... which was that we needed a new compressor. We paid the almost $1600 to have the compressor replaced only for the air to stop working the next day. After being told we would have to wait a few days to bring it back... we were then informed the evaporator was leaking and it would be another $2000 to replace this. Consulting with other mechanics, they believe the compressor never needed replacing in the first place and if it did, all AC issues should have been recognized with the first diagnosis so we could have an accurate estimate of costs. Unfortunately we read positive reviews and went to Devons and have since spoken with friends and neighbors who have had similar negative experiences. read more

My girlfriend recommended Devon's to me. My truck has 214K miles on it and Leah has always been honest and up front as well as the techs. I recently had my truck (F650) repaired at Devon's. I have had my truck to every commercial truck repair centers for an issue that none of them could figure out and spent thousands of dollars with them. They all were just replacing parts and hoping it would fix it. (Guessing) Then I heard that Devon's automotive works on heavy truck also I called and they took it right in. The first thing they did is research my truck. Leah spent countless hours finding serial numbers,researching those numbers on their data base and making calls to confirm what they were researching. Once she had her research completed Devon and his crew started to diagnose what's going on internally in the engine. When they started to make repairs and fixing the issue I stopped by and saw my truck running way better and the issue was fixed. They test drove it and said we are not happy with it and looked beyond the repair of the major issue they fixed that no one in town could, they continued to fix potential issues that could have resulted in costly repairs in the future. That's going above and beyond and looking out for their customers best interest. They have a reputation of fixing it right the first time and absolutely no short cuts! Bottom line they fixed what the big conglomerates could not went above and beyond and refused to give up until they fixed my truck correctly taking no short cuts or unnecessary parts replacing like the others. Honest and trustworthy...I took my RV there to check on brakes. They could have told me I needed an entire brake job, around $1200. Instead they pulled the wheels, found excessive rust and cleaned and lubricated the entire system. Problem resolved for under $300. read more

Exceptional service! I took my vehicle in to see what the grinding noise was about. It's not the brake pads. It's not the timing belt. It was the CVT Transmission damage due to using the wrong fluid. That kind of repair can cost up to thousands of dollars. So she explained to me that my car is still under warranty, but the warranty can be void if the dealership sees that wrong fluid. She offered to replace the transmission fluid with that made specific by the vehicle's manufacturer before I take the vehicle to the dealership to get it serviced under warranty, and I gladly took up the offer. And my car's transmission got fixed for free under warranty! I only spent a couple hundred dollars for the fluid change instead of spending thousands of dollars for the transmission fix. My visit to Devon's took all the financial stress away, and the service there has been nothing short of Honest. I am definitely going back if my car needs another fix. read more

Took my car in for a transmission flush and filter it came back worse than it was when I brought it to them then they said it will be about 2 hours of work that I scheduled. I waited 6 hours to get my suv back and they charged me close to 400.00 for them to tell me I need another transmission after I paid them, but when I took my car to another shop AAMOCO who specializes in transmission they checked Devon's work and said it was never touched fluid is totally burned technician let me see and smell the burnt fluid but I just got it flushed and filled a day before taking it to Devon's shop if you don't watch them do the work they won't do the work and especially if you're from out of town they will take advantage of you and rip you off better business bureau will hear from me believe that so if you're from out of town and you ever come to this shop make sure you sit there and watch them do the work so they don't rip you off like they did me. They may be a good company for ripping people off that's the 5 stars they get and if they cared and know anything about there vehicles they would have told me that if my SUV had that many miles on it and they dropped the pan to change filter it will mess up the transmission more they just wanted to do more service supposedly to get more money instead of really fixing it knowing it just needed to be flushed and filled not the filter changed if it is a Ford vehicle with a lot of miles you should never drop the pan. read more

I don't work hard for my money to spend it on being treated like that. Might not go anymore.
