The closing paper work process and signing went smooth but that's where the smoothness ended. I was given the choice between a bank wire and a guaranteed check. I was made to believe this was a cashiers check. I even said ok I'll take the cashiers check because I knew a cashiers check would only take a couple days to clear and I was unfamiliar with bank wires. Upon bringing the check to my bank ( Chase ) I was told no this isn't a cashiers check it is a business check. Not only is it a business check but it's a business check from a bank outside of Michigan. There was a hold put on the check for 2 weeks. I called Chase and tried my best to get some kind of communication going between abstract, my bank and their bank the whole process was a nightmare that was not successful. To make a long story short I won't have my money for weeks, I was mislead and why in the world would a title company use a bank outside of their state when trying to do fast and efficient large payments locally? I will say that everyone at abstract was nice but nice doesn't put my money from the sale of my property into my bank account. I have informed my real estate agent on my next home purchase later this year I absolutely will not be using abstract title. I will from this point forward confirm what ever title company I'm using has a local bank they use and/or is using a well known bank.

So, I e-mailed her back asking if she had sent it to the wrong person. Two days later she responds, "The email link puts a key logger virus on your computer. My email was hacked. Please run your virus scan immediately and change your passwords afterwards. Our computer man said the email came from Africa. I'm so very sorry. Sincerely, Gina Rotermund" Thanks for all the information Gina. After talking to her and having her tell me what a victim she is and that while her "computer guy" has solved her problems, it's up to me to clean out my computer and deal with whatever mess her stupid e-mail has made of my computer. While on the phone Gina could not tell me what anti-virus program her "guy" used to fix her computer or what the name of the virus even is. So, what can I do? I don't even have an antivirus program on my computer. I guess I'll spend the afternoon downloading and running every free antivirus program I can find and hope for the best since I don't even know what I'm looking for. Hopefully, whoever in Africa hacked her computer won't hack in to my Yelp account and take this down.

Let me share my experience with this group: Debbie Frye - I don't think I've met a more incompetent person in my life. Extremely disorganized. Rude. Not accessible "it's not my problem" - should be written on her name badge! Orso Sandino - the worst property manager I've ever had. He actually prevented the owner of my home from selling the home due to delays in closing and getting me my security deposit back...even after the owner said to refund my security deposit RPM tried to find other damages. They also failed to almost reimburse my parking pass deposit which I did return on move out. The entire accounting team is "off site" I am pretty sure they are actually off shore and do not work or live in Metro Detroit area, as English was a major barrier. At one point I thought I was a victim of fraud since their accounting department couldn't even speak English or knew about my account and lease. Kind of scary! Nancy Nerswick - she should most likely be reported to the BBB and MLS board. When I renewed my lease last year after signing and having her agent sign the lease paperwork she tried to tell me that it isn't set in stone until the owner signs off. False Michigan law states otherwise and that once a lease is signed by both properties it is bond by law and contract. Repairs and maintenance requests take a minimum of 1-2 months to complete. This company will take you to the cleaners for every penny I wouldn't rent from them and I would definitely NOT use them as a property management company for your own properties! Jeff Hurley and Michel Martin - CEO and COO of a joke of a company. You need to focus on customer service and not greed. You can do better....well most likely you cannot....property managers are the failed realtors!

It seems to be a group of AI and call centers that are put under the property management name. We cancelled with them due to not being able to reach anyone personally and when we did reach an RPM human they argued and became defensive about their poor quality. I figured if they are terrible to us as a landlord then for sure they will not look after our tenants. We actually care about our tenants and look after them personally. Nothing about RPM can come close to that and we will stick to managing our own properties from now on.

The representative on the phone took my contact information and said the on-call person would call back ASAP. The on-call person, Manthe, called back in about 15 minutes. After verified my address, Manthe said he should arrive in about 30 minutes - and he did! Manthe checked the sump pump in basement and confirmed a new pump was needed. Menthe left and came back in about 20 minutes with a new pump. He replaced the pump, tested it to make sure the pump worked as expected then left after cleaning up.
