According to yelp, 5 stars = "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" I took a solo vacation to Portland and was taken to Devils Point to pop my strip club cherry. It was quiet and the complete opposite of disappointing. Again, I have never been to a strip club or ever thought I would step inside one and it truly was a good-as-it-gets experience for me! The dancers were friendly, attractive, talented dancers, strong and great performers. Wednesday was my favorite dancer - super nice, talented, funny (has some jokes to tell too!), cute - and it was a delight to meet her. I had a private dance with her and she was respectful of my comfort level with is more than appreciated. Lisa, the bartender, was fantastic. Lisa has a great personality and makes you feel welcome the moment you step inside. Both Lisa and Wednesday recommended I come back to check out Stripperaoke the following night.....so I did. Wow. It was packed and lively. I was unsure what to expect, but it was so much fun! A patron can sign up to sing onstage while the dancer does her thing. Not everyone is a rock star, but there were a few patrons with great vocals. It was sexy, fun and at some times just funny. Even better - my favorite bartender, Lisa, was back at it. I work in live performance management and I give the folks who run Devils Point two thumbs up. When I was at Stripperaoke, there was a patron who couldn't find her purse...her purse actually did walk off. Security was quick to respond, attentive, alert, was able to retrieve her bag. To anyone considering stopping by Devils Point, I highly recommend this venue. I stopped in Lucky Devil Lounge (same owners) on my last night in Portland, but that's for another review. Also, I feel inclined to say the following 3 things because some people do have bad experiences but.... 1) Folks - be respectful to the dancers and they will respect you too. It REALLY IS that easy. Don't have expectations, don't trash talk, please keep your phones away and your hands to yourself. Dancers should not have to be concerned or subjected to their photos being taken and displayed elsewhere so if they ask you to put your phone away, don't trash talk them. Dancers still own their bodies and its really not cool. You, yourself, might be a great patron but not everyone may know how to behave. The dancers are doing their jobs and protecting themselves from things they did not give consent to. 2) You know what else is not cool.... not leaving a tip. You don't have to sign over your whole paycheck, but respect their time. If you are going to watch and just keep watching a woman dance, even if you are not sitting at the rail, you should slip her a bill or two or however much you want. If you can't afford to give someone a dollar after watching them dance naked a few minutes, then you should stay home. 3) Never leave your purse hanging unattended on a chair in a public space. Silly. I definitely plan on going back to Portland in the future and I will definitely go back to Devils Point. read more

Place was packed and only ONE bartender working the bar while some older lady/bartender stood there barking orders and yelling at paying customers. Rude to me and the people I was with. Would NEVER go back or recommend to anyone! Dancers were sexy and the show was fun but TERRIBLE service. Would give ZERO stars if I could. Have never been so disrespected in my life. Management should really take note, I literally just changed out like $100 bucks to tip the dancers/bartenders and just ended up leaving due to this rude bartender who treated me like absolute crap. Stripparoake, fire dancers, hot tattooed ladies, stiff drinks, no cover. All of these things are true and live up to their expectations. At first I only thought I'd come here for stripparoake, but then I found myself there and enjoying myself for a lot of reasons! It didn't feel the same as some other strip clubs where you feel creeped out because the men are hella sketch and make you feel dirty just by sitting next to them. And unlike most other strip clubs I've been to, I don't feel like the girls are going to 1) start crying, or 2) tell me their life story because I asked how they were doing that night. They actually seem like they're enjoying themselves, which is funny and awesome to me all at the same time because then I don't feel bad about watching them. Devil's Point is a mixture of a rock club and a strip club. The dancers here tend to be more interested in performing and doing amazing stage tricks, and the nudity is a piece of this, but not the central piece. The special nights are pretty cool with Fire-Dancing, Karoake, and other fun weekly activities. They have good drinks at good prices. I've never tried any food here. read more

On a purely strip club level, I can't sign off on Devil's Point-there were only three girls in rotation on a Saturday night and two of them I wasn't interested in. Sure, the fire dancing is cool, but after you have seen it once, maybe twice in a thirty minute period it quickly gets old. What I did like about the place was its cheapness-they had $2 Pabst Blue Ribbon drafts and there was no cover to get in. It was like going to a dive pub with the added attraction. The women weren't in your face begging you to buy a lapdance, the atmosphere was very chill and laid back. So as a strip club, I'll give this place a 2. As a dive pub, I'll give this place a glowing 4. It averages to a 3, but I wouldn't mind going there, probably more as a pregame spot than anything. read more

OK so I've been here twice. Once for Stripperoake which I think everyone know about and another time during happy hour. There are cheap brews and hot dancers here, especially if you are not into the whole Vegas/Hip-Hop video style of over surgerized women. If you like suicide girl style and 'real' chicks then you'll probably dig DP. I really though Minou and Cricket were great. Minou can move and has some powerful and sexy moves, while Cricket is a dynamo on the pole. The small club and friendly atmosphere were the amazing circus tent for the real all stars, the exotic dancers, emphasis on Dancers. Frankly these women are undiscovered high quality performance artists. Blaze, Gypsy, Stormy and Ivivsa (not sure if that last one is spelled correctly) were incredibly gorgeous, freaking creative and frankly kept your eyes dang straight on the stage. Hard to flirt with the cute clientle with those girls on deck. Easy parking, the bouncers are cute and really keep a close eye on things. Bartenders were the hottest, didn't get names but they were a man with dreads and his dark long hair brunette sauce sister. They actually smiled! If you go to a strip club and want to invite everyone back over to your house for an after party it was either really good tequila, a wierd night at a usually bad bar or just plain amazing. All the dancers generally seem like nice people and seem to know how the work the crowd when they dance. Only one stage, but a pretty small place. A "security" guy (skinny guy with short beard, handcuffs visible on his belt) came over and reminded me about tipping $1 per dance per person. I told him we had already tipped. Sunday night Stripperoke made this my favorite club on my bachelor party tour of Portland. Stripperoke is amazingly far better than strippers or karaoke on their own. The dancers were all amazing on the pole - and its a real pole, none of that cheating with a rotating pole. Plus they tried the hardest to distract the singers, which is a riot. I've also never seen a more even mix of guys and girls at a strip club before. The venue itself is a bit run down (the bench seats can swallow you whole) but the drinks are cheap and service wasn't bad given how busy it was. I'd go back Sunday nights for sure. read more

This is one of those places that you never walk away from disappointed. I've been to a "few" strip clubs in my day and this is by far my favorite. The girls are beautiful and talented and you never know what to expect. I saw a girl dance to the Ghostbusters theme song, and the next time she was up she danced to MC Hammer and did the Hammer slide across the stage! I would challenge anyone to find me that level of creativity at any other strip club in Portland. The drinks are strong and the atmosphere is cozy. Both were great, at the sweater party I got to get on stage and perform in my sweater while the dancers sat at the rail as judges. I hadn't been back for a while since I moved across town but recently a buddy from out of state wanted to check out the local strip club scene so I brought him here one weekend night and we had a less than pleasant experience. Specifically a dancer named Vincent, who acted pretty rude and pretentious toward us and later I found out put several drinks on my bar tab without asking (I offered to buy her one, that's it.) It really spoiled the night when I went to pay my tab and it was more than double what I was expecting. I felt quite taken advantage of, if I'm being honest. And on top of that to be treated so rudely and feel unwelcome when we just wanted to sit back, have some drinks, throw our tips to the ladies from afar, and catch up with each other. This place is pretty divey but in a good way. The drinks are strong, the place is smokey and the bathroom will make you uncomfortable. There isn't a cover and the best night to go, by far, is Monday when the performers do fire spinning. I was mesmerized; hot girls with tattoos throwing and eating fire, all with a Portland-esque smile on their face. The girls work only for tips and do a fine job of entertaining you.
