If you sneeze you'll miss it. Small brewery, tucked away in looks to be industrial parts. Staff was friendly, she assured me in looking for the giants game but no luck. It was okay tho, they were down by 7 and atop of the third ole toy of ball left. Who am I Joking! Anyways off track. The stout was delicious. Sweet with a little kick. A must stop. A cool option tucked away in a light industrial area. The beers are all very tasty without exception. During the day it's a great place to take on a couple pints and play a few games of cribbage. The staff is always friendly and there is always an excellent selection of IPA beers for sipping. They do tend to be overly focused on the IPA style but I get it that this is the very popular style that so many seek out. I wish they would add more variety in terms of the lighter hopped beers with malt forward flavors. Derby girl is a favorite but it makes an appearance all too infrequently. Parking is absolutely plentiful and the AC is not spared on warmer days. Happy to see they are making strides to open more locations in the Sacramento area and it's also great to see their beers on the shelf at the local grocery store and even at the local Costco from time to time. I'm a big fan and I'm excited to get out more now that this stupid covid stuff is getting well under control. Cheers! Go get yourself some soon.

Device is simply a great local brewery. Despite their ever-growing popularity, this location still manages to feel like a little tucked away gem. Come for the beer, stay for the company, buy more beer for home and repeat. You can grab a table with friends, bring your own food and it is dog friendly. I don't have a dog but I would frequent this spot if I did. But the real draw, of course, is the beer. This is locally brewed craft beer at its finest. I am a big fan of the Pincushion Pilsner and the Ofrenda Mexican Lager. They have a lot of great IPA's as well. Not much of a fan of stouts but they even have some better than average versions of those here. Whatever the occasion, keep this place in mind if you're a beer lover. They have a couple other locations as well!

Good beer, I really enjoyed the Pils and one of the IPA's. The place looks beat up, but most breweries, especially, smaller ones look industrial. Staff was friendly and helpful. You have to get in line to order your beer at the cash register and that line can go a bit slow, however, maybe it's good to have a break between beers. I was fortunate to have a friend tell me about this brewery. Definitely worth checking out.

DO NOT GIVE THIS BREWERY ANY RATING LESS THAN A 5 STAR! My wife and I are having a great time Brew-Hopping from microbrewery to microbrewery here in the Sacramento/Rancho Cordova area. Unfortunately we had a too short afternoon, but , we will be back. A great reason to get out of the bay area, get some country air and enjoy the best of life--Hops! DEVICE is less than a 1/4 mi. from NEW GLORY! What a treat! Device focuses on IPA s, DIPA s and brew up a Pilsner and a Blonde for the lighter side of life. I HIGHLY recommend/advise you drop by here, grab some delicious brew and some food truck tacos and protein-laced quesadillas, my friend, salud!

I come here once in a while because it is near where I live. Hidden in what seems to be warehouses, there is plenty of parking and it seems like there is nothing nearby (in walking distance) of restaurants, other breweries, or any business that is open. This place is intimate, but there are plenty of chairs for everyone. Though the setup is likely that you'll have no personal space or you'll have to be aware of who's walking near you, because they'll always be in close proximity. Which is fine because I have never seen or experience a @sshole customer just yet. Everyone seems friendly and doesn't get totally wasted. So, the cliental is more of a chill crowd, people from the nearby neighborhood with their dogs cruising on by. Yes, you'll have to order and get your beers at the register. I think they set this up because there are usually one staff working at the time, so they will always be at the register. Waters are self-serve. There NOW appears to be a hotdog stand that comes on Wednesday nights, as well as trivia nights on Wednesday. They also will start serving pizza very soon, so I'm not too sure if the rule on "bring your own food" will change. Yes! You can bring your own food! I guess it matters which employee you talk to, but they were in the works of advancing their system to nitro..... but again, it matters who you talk to lol. As for beers, I also get the Russian Imperial Stout. It's very good, but the real reason I always get that one, is because most of the beers are pale ales. It seems like the beers to brew in Sacramento are IPA's which unfortunately is not my drink. I'm not sure how frequently they change up their choices of beers, but I hope they add or keep the darker beers as an option.

I really wanted to like Device Brewery but here are a couple things I didn't like. When I walked in I sit at the bar only to be told by the lady bartender that I have to go to the register to be served. Okay?! I guess. The next thing is if you are going to list your brews on the board at least do one of two things. Make sure your list is legible to read or put up lighting by the menu so that it can be read easily. It really sucks trying to read what you have and can barley read it! Just sayin'! Also, we were not greeted when we walked in a good ol' fashion "Hello" goes a long way especially when I'm spending money in your establishment. The Bartenders weren't very personable I was lucky to even get a "Thank You" and even that sounded forced. Now to the beers. I ordered a flight which I picked, Integral, Derby Girl, Ale as Night and Basilica. If I had to pick one I would say Integral was my favorite. The beer didn't really have that wow factor. The atmosphere is pretty quite nothing too crazy which is a plus. I wish they had a good truck or something all they sell or Potato chips :/ As many Breweries Sacramento offers this won't be on the top of my list. I think the service is what really put a sour taste in my mouth.

First time visiting the Device Brewery after drinking their beers for so long. This location has a wide variety so I just asked for the worker's favorite hazy and he gave me Curious IPA and it was pretty good! The inside isn't too big so it can get crowded at peak time. They have a lot of games to play with friends as well.

Great little place tucked away in Sacramento. Kids and dog friendly! Dogs must be on leashes and kids prob should too (jk jk). They have a lot of great IPAs, and a couple good stouts. My favorite IPA was the "Scary Easy" and the "Made in Sac". The barrel aged brits in Moscow is great, def barrel aged and has amazing flavor! Def recommend stopping by for some beers!

    Double Growler fisted! Fight night!

Final last updated review on Device. Let me start by saying I was very disappointed in the beginning and became a huge fan in the end. The brew is excellent depending on your taste of course. The IPA is on point, no doubt! Nice casual crowd there ready to drink with you...Not sure what to order? Start with a Kid Casual Blonde Ale 4.7%, then lean into a Anguish Double IPA 8.5%. If you want to put some hair on your chest fellas or for the females get your niples hard, drink the Basilica 3xIPA 10.5 ABV. Basilica will bring the sexy out of you after your 1st sip. Ha, love It! Don't believe me? Try it!... Yours truly...J to the P. JP ****Ok, 2nd round. The place was busy and this time we got friendly service, the dude was super cool. There was a food truck outside which was nice. Pale as Night -Black IPA is still my favorite. Please tell the customers who are waiting in line with their dogs that look like miniature pony's to put their dogs to the side so your other guest can order brew to. Com'mon people, it's just rude. Cheers!

We got 10 of the 12 tastings (we skipped the stout and porter)

We really enjoyed our first visit to Device! Came on a Sunday around 430pm and the place was empty! 1-2 other couples came while We were there, but still pretty empty for a sunday. We got a taster of everything and really Liked about 6 of them! Even bought a bottle to go. (Intergal IPA) we brought in some sandwiches to eat, they didnt have a food truck That day. No outdoor seating but inside was nice bec it was empty! We'll Definitely Go again!

After coming from a successful dentist appointment with no cavities, I decided to celebrate by finally crossing Device off my bookmarks two weeks ago. The move was a good one, as it happened to be trivia night, and I cooled off from the hot day with a sample of Inconceivable then a full pint of Kid Casual. Both were great but I especially liked Kid Casual, and the staff was friendly and helpful as I tried to figure out which of their beers I might like best. I sat at the bar and although I was horrible at the first round of trivia (trying to name movie aliens after looking at pictures on a card that was handed to us), tipsy trivia agreed with me. I'd feel comfortable making this a weekly trip, as trivia is played at 6 p.m. every Wednesday night. There was a food truck outside (they also welcome outside food and are dog-friendly) and there is plenty of seating at tables or at the bar for beer fans, and TVs on the wall, which is how I found out Panda rejoined the Giants (sigh) lol. I'll be back to try more limited release beers and maybe do better in trivia next time. ; )

We stopped in during a roadtrip as this location is easily accessible from the highway, with street parking all around. We order the 1/4lb tri tip, 1/2lb turkey, cornbread, bread roll, coleslaw, collared greens and broccoli salad. The food was great! They also have a variety of made in house bbq sauces, sweet and spicy, so it's good for every taste. Today I also got a blackberry tart ale which was delicious: sweet and slightly tart. My favorite thing about this place though is the atmosphere. They have both outdoor and indoor seating, and we sat in the side patio area which tends to be more quiet.

When we first walked up, the place was super busy with the outdoor seating area and queue full. There were still members of our group that were on their way, so we didn't mind waiting in line. They had kids menus available to look at, and even thought the stack for regular menus was out, some people in line were kind enough to hand us theirs when they were done. I stared at the menu the whole time I was in line. I think I was just hungry and the strong barbecue smell in the restaurant was making me crave everything. I eventually landed on a barbecue burger and decided to sub the fries with collard greens to be somewhat "healthy," and also because my husband was getting fries. What's his is mine. Ordering at the register was quick. They had a nonalcoholic frozen drink option that I was tempted to get since I don't drink. I'd recommend giving it a try if you don't mind parting with $10. I think it was $2 extra dollars to get a similar drink with alcohol too. Also, there is a separate line for ordering beer, so if you have a decent-sized group like we did, maybe consider splitting up to grab a table and join the beer line. We lucked out with one of the longer tables next to the bathrooms. Side note: they have hand-washing stations separate from the area with the toilets, so super clutch if you just need to clean up before you start touching all your food. Our orders seemed to come out as they were ready, and overall maybe 15-20 minutes, which is decent considering how packed the place was. My burger was delicious. Meat was on the medium-well side, but I don't mind a little more cook as long as it's still juicy, which was the case. Cheese was melted, onion rings were crisp, bun wasn't soggy, and there was a generous bed of jalapeños under the patty. It wasn't overly spicy or anything, but it did provide a nice noticeable difference in texture. The collard greens, I would say right now, are pretty high on my list of collard greens I've had in my life, and I order them if I ever see them on any menu since it's not often I find them. It was a decent amount, but I wished there was double once I was done. As we were finishing our food, some nice staff members were quick to come clean up our dishes. We were so satisfied with our meal and drinks that we almost forgot we needed to catch an escape room!

We also got the "Fun Guy" pizza to share and made the mistake of removing the goat cheese, which I think hurt it. The crust was excellent and the toppings were fresh, but it felt like it was missing that salty, funky balance the goat cheese would've added. Still very good, but that one's on me. My friend did not argue about it and my other friend and I got our beers and sat down. We just wanted to spend time and catch up. My friend with the expired ID did not even take a sip of any drinks and respected the policy, the woman that we talked to earlier about the ids then proceeded to come up to us and say that we were sharing drinks, yelling and being very hostile. We were all confused because in no way, my friend even touched or drank any of the drinks. She insisted to call the cops. We then asked her if she had any evidence such as video footage and she said she did not have any access to that and she did not have footage. She said we were breaking the law and she will get the police involved for underage drinking. She was being extremely hostile. We asked for a refund and would leave, we were so uncomfortable. He then proceeded to say we did not pay for the drinks and I had to pull up my credit card statement to even prove it, which is absolutely ridiculous. I got our drinks and paid/ closed the tab before even sitting down. We asked to talk to a manager again. Mind you, we asked previously, and got the lead. The manager just asked if we were from the Bay and shook our hands instead of actually doing anything about the situation. I saw her hug the woman that was accusing after we were leaving which is absolutely ridiculous. Why would you encourage that type of behavior to your staff. Profiling in 2025 is insane. I feel bad for my friends. I feel extremely uncomfortable. Discriminating and accusing just because we are the only POCs in the room is so embarrassing. This particular visit was great-the patio spot in the back where everyone hangs was great-such variety of people,ages,cultures-it was a true melting pot of all the things I love about Sacramento-I seen people with dogs-people with young kids, even babies in strollers-I saw people on dates-I seen people just hanging catching up after long week-it's such a chill spot-I loved it. Now let's get to the beer-we had 4 beers in total on this particular visit. 2 pints of The People Lager($7.50 each)-This is a great beer-feels like very friendly beer and easy drinking beer-I would get this again-7.8/10 rating 1/2 Pint Stout Kang Imperial($6.00)-This is the beer I came here for and I remember having it at the Yelp event-it's a very coffee forward stout and it's packs a punch-pretty sure double digit ABV-it's not for everyone-it's very strong but I love it-9.2/10 rating 22 ounce stein-Mystic Cloud($9.00)-This is a Hazy IPA and yep this was the star of the day for me-I loved this drink and as much as I loved the stout-this will be my order going forward-great beer-9.3/10 rating We also ordered the Pulled Pork Fries($15.00)-I had these on a previous visit-they were yummy then and they were even more yummy now after drinking almost 40 ounces of beer-I would fully recommend this as a shareable for anyone looking to eat a little something while enjoying the incredible suds they have at this brewery. Overall it was a great visit-I love these guys and gals who are running this brewery-they are all so friendly and welcoming and they are serving a superior product and the pride they have in their beer and food shows-I am so happy this brewery is a part of my world now and I can't wait to go back.

Some of this lot is taken up by the Taco Truck. The chicken and rice book was very good. The truck's drinks looked like they have been rattling around in the ice less bin for quite some time. To be fair, this is a small bar. I don't drink alcohol or coffee. So the options were very limited to chilled water which was nice to have available and juice. I had apple juice and water which was fine. The bartender was a nice man and the right amount of social with his customers. Despite the small bar itself, the two TV screens are a decent size with good quality pictures of two different sports (golf and soccer at the time). Convenient to hang out while, there is enough seating overall and a short walk from the dance studios and antique shops nearby.

When we got there they had the NFL playoffs playing on a couple of TVs,so we grabbed a couple of bar stools and sat at the bar to see what selection of beers they had to offer. The lady behind the bar was super friendly, she offered us samples of various beers since this was our 1st time at this place-I love that. We decided to give a few beers a try, price ranging from $8 to $8.50 for a 16 ounce mug of beer. We went with these 4 beers. 1. Lazer Blowfish-a New England-style Hazy IPA-it was awesome tasting-went down so smooth. 2.Deep Cuts-a West Coast-style IPA-for those IPA lovers who do not want a Hazy, this is an excellent choice-even smoother than the Lazer 3.El Lado Oscuro-a Dark Lager-some people can't handle dark lagers but this one was really good-this one had me almost ordering it a second time. 4.Brain Fog-a Wheat Beer-not sure what it means exactly but of all the beers we had, this one was finished faster than all the others-it was really good. They had a few more beers I wanted to try,Porch Lite & The Implication but time was working against us,I will definitely be back to try those 2 when I'm in the area. The parking at this spot sometimes can be a little tricky as not too many spots on the property but there is plenty of street parking,so just park there if you can't find a spot. Overall I for sure recommend this spot,I think my favorite thing was the vibe this place gave-the customers were all age ranges from families with kids,to young people hanging watching the game, even spotted a few people who were a touch older than you would expect-that's what I liked the most,a place where all ages were welcome and everyone was having a great time-that's what I will remember this place the most for. So if u ever find yourself in the Sac State area and u want to try some really tasty beer in a fun chill environment-don't hesitate to stop by Porchlight-I'm sure you will have a great time. PS....On this particular day I went they had a really good food truck,Soul on a Roll on property serving food, not too sure what happens for food there the rest of the week, but on Saturdays they are all setup for tasty food!!...Be Safe out there.

Gift cards awarded to the group with the highest points at the end of each round. I've been a couple times, and I feel I can contribute to my team more than Trivia Night, which I suck at. Even though some of the music is eclectic or just hard to recognize, it's a lot of fun. Good idea to come with friends of all different backgrounds and musical tastes. Since At Ease does not have a kitchen, they have a food truck (not sure when but definitely on Friday nights) come out on the patio. They do offer free pretzels and sell small bags of chips, along with some merch. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome inside and on the patio. They offer 4oz flights ($15) of any 4 beers of your choosing. They have a good variety from light to dark, sours to ciders, and a few IPAs. I always find something I like. You can always ask for a sample to, if you don't want to commit. The staff are always accommodating and make suggestions if you need help.

I came to At East Brewing Company on a Saturday evening for plant bingo. The event was free to play and consisted of 10 rounds of bingo with the prizes being plants provided by Hydro Bliss Sac. Although I didn't win, I had a good time, got some good drinks, and was able to participate in a fun event. The plants looked really cool and whatever plants that were left at the end were for sale. From the entrance, the venue didn't look very big, but it was long and narrow and the back patio was more spacious. I ordered the Set & Drift, which was a black currant and orange sour. It was really good. I tried a sip of the Rucksack, which was a rice lager. Not bad, but not my beer. The beers were about $7-$8 a pint, but they have smaller options and a flight option. They also have a complimentary pretzel station and treats for dogs. Tip - go early for the plant bingo event. Even though we were on-time, the place was packed and it was standing room only. People who went 15 minutes early couldn't even find their own table and had to ask others to share their table. This event is only once in awhile so check their social to see when the next one is. They do have regular events like DJ bingo, trivia night, game night, and the left, right, left run club. They also have some special events - girl scout cookies and beer pairing, books and brews book fair, and bird watching and beer. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

All beers appeared to be craft, I didn't see any mainstream beers like Bud or Coors. They also offered a few craft soda options and plenty of water stations. They outdoor seating in the front or a nice large back patio as well as a few spots inside. We opted for the back patio to enjoy the random cat that was lurking around. It does appear the back patio is dog friendly as well. We ordered the prosciutto and fig pizza, an OG pepperoni and the garlic breadsticks. It did take longer than I expected for our food, but we did come right at opening so maybe morning prep took some time. We really liked the prosciutto a fig, the balsamic glaze and the sweetness of the agave paired well. I do wish the garlic bread was more garlicky. It was more of a cheesy bread in my opinion, which was still delicious. We will definitely be back. And what's even better is Gunters is right down the street so you can enjoy a sweet treat after a nice meal and ice cold beer.

Entry: there's a line for ID check and wristbands, but it moves quickly. Restrooms: clean, 5 stalls per gender with plenty of sinks. No line when I went. Seating: mostly outdoor. Options include long canopy tables (fits: 6-8 people) or fireplace seating (extra $10). The building itself has really interesting architecture: loved it. There's also a small indoor area called "The Wing" with a nice bar and fun photo props. Service: ordering is done via QR code at your table and paid upfront. Food comes out fast (5-10 minutes). One hiccup: they dropped another table's pizzas at ours without confirming, and sauces cost extra, even basic ones like hot sauce have to be ordered online. Food & drinks: burgers, pizza, wings, fries. Drinks: beers and ciders. Highly recommend the lavender lemonade. Overall: great spot for casual hangouts with friends: definitely a fun place to bring guests.

We came it to just enjoy a quick beer and head out. The open space and kind of camp out vibe was amazing. If it's hot try to grab a space with shade otherwise you would get cooked. They have fire pits and games so you really can't go wrong. The food was ok, we got a pizza and the lemon hummus with veggies. The pizza was decent but the flour on the bottom took away the flavor. Mind you I love that they to woodfire pizza, I make woodfire pizza at home but ya just gatta watch the flour underneath to not lose the flavor or the crispness of the dough. The hummus was ok, I was hoping for a more lemony flavor and the veggies were cut really thin. As far as bang for you buck it was ok. They had women great beers and drinks on then menu so honestly the environment is set up for vibes. The food could use a little more love but honestly it's a great spot because in the end ... decent food, good friends, drinks and vibes ... you cant beat that.
