I recently visited this tattoo shop for two sessions, conducted by the owner, Jerry (@tattoosbygenocide). While the staff, including Jerry, were personable, I encountered several issues that lead me to rate this establishment with one star.
Positive Aspects:
Jerry was initially receptive to my ideas and requested pictures for inspiration.
Negative Experiences:
Communication Breakdown: Post sharing my concepts, I received no feedback, leading to uncertainty about the tattoo plans. Attempts to reach Jerry or the shop yielded no responses.
Issues with Punctuality and Preparation: Jerry arrived 30 minutes late for our first session and appeared unprepared, opting to improvise rather than utilizing the ideas we discussed earlier.
Inconsistent Pricing: The final charges for both sessions exceeded the original quotes without prior explanation. For instance, the second session, though shorter, was priced similarly to the first.
Quality of Work: The outcome of the first session was okay, but the second session, particularly the roulette wheel design, was underwhelming and lacked the expected standard. Feedback from other artists suggested that the execution and placement of the design were flawed.
Conclusion:
I regret choosing this shop over others. Thankfully, I've only had two sessions here and plan to continue my tattoo journey with a different artist. read more
