This 5 start Review is strictly for Sal! Just the fact that I have not seen the other tattoo artists work and the person who did my boyfriends tattoo, was a very big disappointment and a rip off. I literally don't know how this guy has a job at a tattoo shop, very horrible job. do your research on the artist first, we trusted on the shop's recommendation but not we have to get his tattoo fixed. Tattoo artist (Jacob) -- I wouldn't give him a full 1 star. As for Sal, his work is phenomenal. My plan was to start on my right arm to create a horror sleeve. The front recommended Sal because he does great horror art. They weren't lying. He took his time and he was very precise. He definitely dedicated all his hard work on my arm. Great staff and artistic skill all around. I heard that this was the best place in El Paso and surrounding areas to get a tattoo, so my friend and I went there. Lo and behold, we ended up going three days in a row to finish our tattoos. My artist, Meteor, was excellent as a professional and as a skilled artist. My only complaint is that I didn't realize that I had sensitive skin, so I ended up with an allergic reaction to the ink. I ended up putting Neosporin on it and it's slowly healing. I know that technically it's not Meteor's fault, but I wish I had a bit of advice on what to do when confronted with this, other than the paper slip of directions that they handed me. Will definitely come back, and hopefully use another type of ink for sensitive skin. read more

I cannot day enough good things about this shop. I was looking to get my infants ears pierced (she is 2 months old) and knew I wanted to take her to a piercing studio based on research I had done. No way I wanted to take her to a 17 year old in the mall using a piercing gun. Anyways, I called ahead, they let me know they could see us, and the price was very reasonable for a studio. The shop was very clean, the staff was super friendly, the front desk girl was being trained on proper procedures and they made sure they took all the proper info for consent. Meteor did my daughters piercing (even though he didn't want to hurt her lol) and he was fantastic! Great placement, empathetic, very friendly, and even smiled for a pic for my mother in law ha! My friend and I went to get our nipples pierced, the piercer didn't mark either of our nipples first or make sure it was straight before he put the needle in. We were both in and out in 5 minutes. He didn't sanitize our skin before he started or clean the area afterwards. Both our piercings are crooked and one isn't even deep enough in my friends nipple, you can see the bar through it. We left and she had blood dripping all the way to her belly button. read more

Well..... my daughter turned the big one-nine and, wanted to get a belly button Piercing. I being her father and following something of a family tradition took her as I did her sister to get her belly button pierced. My daughter was incredibly nervous and happy at the same time. What I truly appreciated was that I was not the only parent there with their kid. The guys that work there were really welcoming and professional. The guy informed my daughter and I on what was going to happen and knocked it out in no time. It made a great snap too. She was incredibly happy with the results as were I. I wouldn't normally endorse a parent taking their kid to get a body piercing but, as our kids get older there are things that I feel I should be a part of instead of letting her just go out and do something that can ultimately hurt her. Plus it was a shared experience. If my kid ever wants to go back to get another piercing, I feel incredibly secure with knowing that she would choose this establishment over money. I've had some pretty shitty experiences with old tattoo shops I've been to, when I moved here I did a lot of research on different shops and this was the first one I wanted to go to. My husband and I actually have a friend who goes to this shop all the time and swears by the artist Gibby, to which he was amazing! He did my husbands tattoo then mine right after. Went to Pumping Ink yesterday for piercings, both nipples and tongue. The piercer did not clean my nipples before piercing them, didn't mark them before piercing them. Tongue, this wasn't my first time getting my tongue pierced... didn't have me use mouth wash before piercing and dude jacked up my piercing. My tongue was in an abnormal amount of pain. The tip of my tongue and the entire left side of my tongue felt like someone was constantly stabbing it! I ended up calling another shop for advice and took my tongue ring out last night... 6 hrs later. Once barbell was out... tongue started to feel better! My regular artist said he probably hit a nerve. Don't go here for piercings or tattoos! She even said this place is the worst place in El Paso for piercings and tattoos!!! I showed up to get a piece on my arm done and the artist I got was absolutely unskilled. It took her three hours just to draw up the sketch. Then continued to take a shot before my tattoo so god knows how much she drank before tattooing. In the end after like 2 hours of tattooing she stopped and it turned out awful and she charged me $600. She told me to come back and she'd finish it without any extra cost. I showed back up the next week and she had the audacity to try and charge me an extra $400 just for color. I ended up having to go to Florida to my tattoo artist to get it covered lol. They priced my tattoo at 500 dollars which seemed steep but I was okay with it because it would most likely be amazing quality. 1.5 hours later I walked out of the shop with a very sloppy tattoo. The line work is awful. It looks like complete crap. I wasted 500 dollars on a tattoo that was done hurriedly and terribly. I am extremely disappointed and will never go there again. I tried to contact the manager and got NO response. This tattoo is sloppy work and now I have to pay to have someone to fix it. The google picture is the one I gave them. The other two are what the tattoo looks like. It's not worth 200 let alone 500!!! read more

After going to a bunch of tattoo places who didn't have regular earring jewelry or the right size needle to get my 2nd holes in my ears, I stumbled upon this place. Matt told me they'd have another jewelry shipment coming in soon and gave me his card. When I went in, he was great - very patient with me to get the dots right where I wanted him to pierce. He used a needle that removes a tiny part of ear lobe, and also used a thick jelly on the needle. He even told me how to breathe while he was piercing them and how the needle piercing method heals faster than using a sharp piercing earring. To top it all off, they had cute little sparkly earrings and gave me a discount : ). I got them done about 3 hours ago and have NO pain. Definitely recommend Matt for anyone's piercings! read more

I went in to get my nostril pierced. They unfortunately we're out of jewelry for me but recommended a shop down the street to get some. They were reasonably priced there and I got 10 dollars off the pierce price. Meteor did my piercing and did wonderful! I received my first tattoo here yesterday, and it was a great experience. My artist Pete was very sweet and helpful. The only reason I'm not giving a whole 5 star rating is the price. $80 was a little steep for a small two word phrase on my inner arm, but the piece is beautiful; clean lines and beautiful curves. So I don't mind it too much! Very clean, and the decor was JUST my style. There are also computers available to customers in the back of the shop for reference. i never write reviews, but please please please save your money, do more research. there are way more skilled artist in el paso. this was a spur of the moment idea, i consulted with one of the tattoo artist here and regret ever coming here. my tattoo is dark, shading is absolutely terrible and some of my tattoo was free handed. some things were added to my tattoo that i never asked for. all in all i'm spending my time finding laser removal and another artist that will do a cover up for me. read more
