I had a cover up done by Dan. Honestly I was a bit concerned due to the size that needed to be covered but he did a great job. He did my tattoo at the rockabilly riot so I cannot speak to his shop other than the 5 min discussion we had there to originate the tattoo. It is a pretty sweet looking 50's themed shop. As for the important part, the tattoo was about 5 hours under the gun. Came out awesome! Very pleased. read more

**BEST PLACE TO GET A TATTOO IN EL PASO!** Dan is a friend of the family, and has done all my family's tattoos. That's almost 50 tattoos (and counting) alone. He's always busy, and for good reason! I have two tattoos and both were done by Dan. Granted, both times I was shaking and crying like a little girl, but Dan tolerated me and for that reason alone he deserves five stars. I would not go to anybody else, ever. I won't even go to places in Chicago (where I live) because I don't trust them and don't like the end results. So, I wait til I come visit my family in El Paso, then go and see dan. All of my mom's, sister's, aunt's, and cousin's tattoos have been done by this man, and they all look amazing. Horrible work ethic and customer service. I made an appointment to see a specific artist and arrived about 20 minutes early. When I arrived they told me to have a seat and wait, which I figured was standard as I was early. Minutes before my scheduled appointment, a guy walked in and asked about scheduling something. They asked what he wanted and when he described it, they told him they were free and would take him as a walk in since their only appointment canceled. He went to the back and when I asked what was going on, they said they had to cancel my appointment because they "double booked". In fairly sure they took him over me because they made more money off of it. (Mine was a smaller tat.) I won't be returning... I wanted about 2k in art all together. read more

Dan is tha man to see in el paso, tx!!!! My husband and I, were there just for the weekend and on a whim decided we wanted tats done. Did some research real quick heard dan was the tat god pretty much in el paso we we showed up. he got us in did beautiful work and was quick and laid back guy, now we made plans for in two months when he is in our state to meet up and do more!! We met with him to discuss tattoo ideas. We spent a good while talking and made an appointment for a few days later to get the tattoos done. We arrived early (before opening) and ended up waiting for about an hour and he never showed up at his shop. We could see empty beer bottles inside the shop and it looked pretty dirty and unappealing. We tried calling several times while we waited and after we left but he never returned our calls. He seems like a nice enough guy and a good artist but he was very unreliable and we were very unhappy with our experience. I wouldn't recommend going to him for anything as permanent as a tattoo. read more

Sad, we scheduled 2 different appointments with dan, the first he just blew us off and went home, thwn the next morning he was supposed to call before 8, his phone was shut off. My son is stationed at Ft. Bliss and is deploying to Kuwait...He wanted to get a tattoo before he left and while we were down visiting him before he deployed. I will admit, Dan's wasn't the first on the list, he was third...I called several shops around the area, and you either needed an appointment already, or they just weren't opened (this was sunday morning). To my surprise, Dan answered when I called around 8:30 in the morning. He asked me to come in with my son around 12:30 with the picture and asked if we would be available later in the day to complete the tattoo. We showed up a few minutes before 12:30 and Dan arrived promptly. We showed him the choice between the two tattoos my son was considering and he advised my son which he thought to be the better of the two. Drove from Los Angeles just to get work done by one of the finest bestest tattoo artist. So worth it! Really can't wait to get another one! I walked into this shop yesterday for my first tattoo, and immediately was turned off by the smell- almost like an animal's cage. There are no cubicles sectioning off, so there is not privacy whatsoever, just an open space which is shabby looking. I arrived and was not only NOT greeted, but another woman walked in at least 5 minutes after me and was served first. I was already very nervous about my first tattoo to begin with, and the rudeness of the staff here did not help. Here's some advice: get your tattoo across the street from this place instead. My boyfriend and I met with Dan and discussed a piece we were each thinking about having done. He made an appointment with us to come back when he could go over some sketches he'd come up with and talk about it a bit more. We showed up 15 minutes early, and the shop was closed... No biggie. 15 minutes after our appointment time we called him, with no answer. Another 30 minutes, we called again. Still no answer. Left a message to call us back. We left 45 minutes after our appointment time, and never heard back. This isn't the way to run a business. We ended up at another tattoo parlor and have been incredibly impressed with the results. read more
