No signs of wear and tear here!
    Johnny C.

I am finally picking up the pieces of my TERRIBLE experience with this "stealership". This review is lengthy, as was my terrible day yesterday with this corrupt business. After searching for a pickup truck online for months, I came across a Ford Ranger listed at Devaney. After 3 calls to them, I finally spoke with John when I requested some additional photos. I told John that I'm from Buffalo, NY (a 7 hour drive) and to please send detailed pictures of the truck along with ANY scratches, rust or dents so I can be well aware of what I'm buying before making the hike to Rhode Island. He sent me a total of 5 photos, begrudgingly, and aside from some small cosmetic flaws he said (and the photos showed) a really solid truck. He said there wasn't any rust and it was "the best Ford pickup truck we've gotten in a long time". We agree on a price, I let John charge a $400 deposit to my Visa. I book a one-way ticket to Boston and then schedule a one-hour ($96) Uber ride to the dealership. After all, John abruptly told me they "don't have time and staff to pick people up from the airport". Hmm, ok, Mom and Pop business... no problem. This is where it ALL went south; after a long morning traveling, I arrive at the dealership (read: a glorified mechanic shop with 5-6 cars for sale on a busy road) and see the truck. I immediately knew I was the brunt of a bad joke; I saw rust spots all over, overspray where many body parts were obviously just painted (directly over rust, mind you) and an interior that was so dirty I didn't even want to step foot inside. John makes an ironic comment that "I'm ballsy for coming 400 miles to buy a car" while I tell myself that I'm overthinking things, get the keys, and take a 10 mile drive up the road to talk myself out of RUNNING to the airport and flying home. The truck squeaked, smelled like burning oil, the entire roof of the truck was littered with deep, pitting holes of rust. The windows rattled, the gears slammed. He told me he replaced all of the brakes, meanwhile they were so rusted that I couldn't even make out the age of them. He said he flushed the fluids, which I could see were blown all over the inside hoods cloth cover, probably by the serpentine belt. I pulled over into a parking lot to book my flight home before I even got back to the stealership. Then, in that lot, John calls me to say that his receptionist was hungry and asked me to hurry back to the lot so she could process my payment. Ha... I felt like I was going to lose my lunch, glad she was ready for hers! I get back, politely explain to John that A) I'm not going to buy the truck for any amount of money, B) would like an immediate refund of my deposit and C) feel that they should at LEAST provide me with $100 towards the $196 in Uber fares I was to incur. After fumbling a few sentences, John tells me that the car does have normal rust as a "New England truck", that he sent me pictures of the truck (yeah, just not the shitty ones showing the 50+ rust pits) and that the owner (who he said was golfing, away from his phone) would "never ever allow me to pay for your Uber". Okay, Mr. John from Providence, I've taken an entire day off to buy this truck, traveled across the Northeast US, and spent $650 to be here, buying this. I told him to call the owner, of which he didn't, and instead made me sit there for 15 minutes like an idiot while he "texted" him with no response. I ordered my Uber to Boston airport, walked outside & realized I had the key to the truck in my pocket. As much as I wanted to throw it out the window on the highway and make him play Frogger, I decided to be a decent human being and walk back inside. I again asked John to please help me pay for my Uber to the airport, of which he said no again. I hand him the key and told him that in exchange I'd be sure to share my experience online in hopes that someone else won't make the same mistake I did. John - You SUCK. Your family business sucks, and you are the epitome of a "used car salesman". I hope none of your customers ever go through what I just did. Go to hell! Update: After about 5 seconds on Google, I realized that John IS the owner of the business and was full of crap when he said otherwise. Ah, how naive I was. My sentiments stand... steer clear of this crook!

I went to school for mechanics and when the job is too big or I don't have the time I 100% trust these guys and their prices.

I don't even want to give this business a 1 star. I took my car for the first time to get serviced,…read moreunder family's recommendation. I needed a water pump and thermostat replacement. Even though, I knew what I needed, they still hooked up my car to get diagnosed. He told me what I already knew and asked, can I pick the car later? In which I asked, can I have an estimate on repairs? Should of been my first red flag. Went into the office, got an estimate on repairs and parts. Since my parts where coming in later in the week, asked if it was okay to keep the car on the lot..since it was overheating. They said it was fine. Came in the next day, to pay for the parts and the owner IMMEDIATELY brought up a white scratch on my car. Didn't know what he was taking about, so he walks over and shows me a HUGE DENT on my passengers side door and drivers side car. I IMMEDIATELY say, that was not on my car when I left it here yesterday. I flip out. The owner, no worries we'll handle it. The business next door has cameras, we ask them. I leave, 1 1/2 hrs go by...no calls, no update. I go to the business next door and explain the situation, they have no footage and tell me, the employee from next door already asked. But I never received a phone call or an update. At that point, the owner, of the shop, Jose, comes over pretty much comes over and says, if there's more problems, just call the police. Say less. I went to the police station, made my police report and called my insurance company. Police officer calls me and tells me, they're much saying, that was already on the car when I pulled up. They noticed the "scratch" at around 330-4:00pm when they moved the car. And the employee informed his boss about it. BOLD FACED LIES! 1. The same "gentlemen" that moved my car, was the same "gentleman" that diagnosed my car. In which we both walked over, to my DRIVERS SIDE door, where HE opened the door and turned on the car to hook up the computer to my car. If that scratch was there in the morning..which it was NOT. WHY WAS IT BROUGHT UP AT ALL, TO HIS BOSS, WHEN HE MOVED THE CAR. If it was there the first time he approached my car, then it wouldn't have to be brought up! And pictures wouldn't need to be TAKEN OF MY CAR! 2. When I was first told about it, and I told him, NO, that dent was not there when I left this car on the lot. He said, no worries, we'll handle it. We have cameras, we'll fix it. But when the police, showed up and questioned the situation, the story was completely FLIPPED, and they told the police, that dent was there when I showed up. LIES ALL LIES. AND I CANT BELIEVE THIS BUSINESS GETS ANY GOOD REVIEWS. I showed up on MY FAMILY'S RECOMMENDATION and am happy and proud to support local businesses. But I can't believe how an owner and employees can all LIE about something like this. As soon as I said, that dent was not on my car yesterday, I should of been first priority! This happened on your LOT! But he was so unconcerned and nonchalant about the situation! The business next door and manager was a lot more helpful!!! Do yourself a favor and don't bring your car to this shop!!!!!
