Look, I'm not really a flower guy. When I was planning my own wedding, I will admit that I was more focused on other things like the food, the invitations, and the entertainment. Florals were not really a high-priority item for me, but in retrospect Karese at Detailed Floral Design became one of my favorite people to work with during the whole process! During our search, we spoke to one other Temecula-based florist. Karese's bid was slightly higher than the second option, but we knew we "clicked" more with her and chose based on our gut instead of our wallet. We absolutely do not regret this decision. Karese was communicative, detailed, professional, and honest. She was flexible enough to meet us around our schedule (usually when we were attending other meetings in Temecula). During these in-person consultations, we would go over compotes, ribbons, and other key bits of information that would be used to create the final design. Karese understood our aesthetic, understood styles that we didn't like, and understood logistics so she knew exactly what questions to ask in preparation for the big day. Like I said, she is DETAILED. It's in the name! On the day of our wedding, Karese exceeded all expectations. Our ceremony garland, in particular, blew us away. Even with the global flower shortage and our limited budget, Karese went above and beyond and delivered something that looked even better than what we envisioned! My favorite wedding vendor! I cannot say enough good things about Karese at Detailed Floral Design. She went above and beyond for my husband and I throughout our wedding planning process. She was so nice to work with and is just one of the sweetest people you will meet. When we first explained our floral vison with her, she was honest and very upfront with us. At first our vision seemed a bit outrageous with our budget so we did have to go over our budget. However, she was more than willing to listen to what we wanted and gave great advice throughout the planning process so we were able to save money in other ways. At each of our planning meetings, she would also bring items so we can see them in person. It was so helpful since my husband and I are both very visual people. She was also very flexile and understanding when we had to postpone our wedding date due to Covid. On our actual wedding day, when Karese delivered the florals to the bridal suite, I was thrown back by how beautiful everything looked! In fact she even engraved our vases with each of our names as a nice keepsake! One of the very specific concerns my husband and I had with the florals during our ceremony was our venue's (Avensole Winery) dome structure. This structure is gorgeous as a stand alone structure, but we've seen different ways couples incorporated florals to it and we wanted something a little bit more elaborate. We were told the cost of this vision and we knew we had to compromise with a more simple design. However, Karese took our vision and miraculously made it even better in real life! My photos do not do justice! The florals from the ceremony were huge and the dome looked so full and gorgeous! We received so many compliments, and a couple even reached out to us after the wedding to inquire about Karese's services! My daughter told me she was getting married in a unkept backyard and I told her no way was that happening and completely took over planning a wedding. My time frame to put it all together was literally 5 days! One of the most stressful decisions was the bouquet and centerpieces for the tables. Detailed Floral Design met with us and in days she had it all together and went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for!! The bridal bouquet was exactly what I envisioned and she even made a small bouquet to throw and a corsage and boutonniere to match! Detailed floral design is nothing short of exceptional. Every step of the way, they exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, our wedding day flowers were absolutely stunning, with so many people in our wedding party commenting on how beautiful they were. Karese is a master of understanding what you want, even if you don't know what you want yet. I didn't think I had opinions about what our wedding day flowers should look like, but Karese asked thoughtful questions along the way to help me and my husband figure out what we did and didn't want. Imagine a therapist who only talks to you about flowers -- that's Karese. The name -- DETAILED Floral Design -- also resonates with the experience you'll have. When we hired Karese, she sent us a folder with, among other things, a handwritten thank you note, a detailed written proposal, and a color chart with labels for specific shades so we'd always be on the same page about what colors we wanted. On our wedding day, it was clear just how many "small things" Karese had thought about to bring an extra level of polish. For example, the boutonnieres used magnets instead of pins, the corsages came attached to beautiful beaded bracelets, and the bouquets were wrapped beautifully. Karese also went the extra mile to assist the gents with putting on their boutonnieres and teaching the bridesmaid (and me) how to hold the bouquets so they would photograph the best. Karese could easily fit in with florists who set high minimums for clients, but she actually worked with us to help us keep our costs manageable. She respected our budget and helped us to think creatively about where we could save money. Overall, the end result was stunning, and the process to get there was easy and fun. Karese was absolutely amazing during the whole process of wedding planning! If I could give her more than five stars I would do so in a heartbeat. She communicated extremely well and often, which is always a plus when you are a stressed out bride-to-be! Even when I didn't know exactly what I wanted, she knew just the right questions to ask that helped lead me in the direction I wanted to go. She was thorough, consistent, and truly such a pleasure to work with!! Karese is incredibly sweet and thoughtful, and her florals are absolutely gorgeous!! Karese was the kindest and most thoughtful florist I've worked with! I am a photographer and she was AMAZING to work alongside. She checked in with me days before the wedding and asked If there was any florals that I would want for detail shots!! No florist has ever done that for me! What a gem! When I arrived at the wedding there was a hiccup with something(not by her error) and she handled it with grace and kindness, showing the best customer service. She had some glue dots to fix a rhinestone that fell off the brides shoe. She was like Marry Poppins with all the gadgets in her toolkit! Karese also uses magnets for her boutonnières which I cannot tell you how much time that saves and saves so much work for me, as I am usually helping all the guys put them on! Karese helped us with the centerpieces for our November fundraiser. She is a joy to work with and a week later, the flowers in the centerpiece are still beautiful. I can NOT rave enough about Karese at Detailed Floral Design. She made my wedding absolutely beautiful. I stumbled upon Detailed Floral Design through instagram after i was in a pinch to find a new florist when mine cancelled on me due to COVID and Karese was better then i could have EVER expected (personally better then who I originally hired). I told her my wedding colors then basically gave her free creative flow on how she wanted to craft everything and i again can not stress it enough HOW beautiful it was. Her attention to detail and care about the craft of her business does not go unnoticed. She created custom vases will all of my bridesmaids names on them as well as one with mine and my grooms name, she went above and beyond by finding color swatches of my exact wedding colors to be sure the ribbons she attached to the bouquets would work. She was on site almost the entire day and was constantly asking if anyone needed help or if she could assist in anyway. I had multiple people come up to me at the wedding not only commenting on how she was a well oiled machine with everything and how on the ball she was but also with just how overall gorgeous everything turned out. We ended up getting our cake from Sams club and had her add the florals to it and i tell you what, you would have never guessed that was a $60 cake. I seriously can not rave on her enough. I found her at a Bridal Show, about a year before my big day. I had been planning this wedding longer than I had actually been engaged, so I had a vision. Karese blew me away, she has so much knowledge and such patience with a Type A person like myself. My mom & sister planned my Bridal Shower for end of February 2020 and Karese did the flowers, they surprised me. I walked in and wanted to cry it was sooo beautiful.
