I took my RAV4 to Global Car Care because Slip Indicator Light was staying on ...traction control…read moreproblem. First, they said "rear plug" of transmission had come out and needed to replaced. Also, the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. The battery recovered overnight after I asked for my battery back to return since it was only 12 months of the 36 month of Interstate's warranty. Manager Jay told me a car's alternator does not charge the battery. Then at the end of the next day Global Car Care called to say after the test drive it was not shifting properly so needed to replace the Steering Rack and Tie Rods of a cost of $2,069.21. I declined and picked up the car, no improvement in problem. - cost of $456.31 I then took the car to Town Toyota, they quickly identified the problem as a loose steering rack bolt that needed to be tightened. They tightened the bolt and all other cradle bolts, reset all sensors, and front wheel alignment. The total cost for Town Toyota service department to resolve problem and improve drivability in a half day was $347.10.

I needed them to troubleshoot a sound on my Subaru…read more I thought I had a bad CV axel (common issue with Subaru's) but instead it appeared to be a heat shield on the wheel that was rubbing. Fair enough, easy fix. Instead, they chopped it off on the passenger side. About a day later, the noise was back. I crawled under the car and could see the drivers side was doing the same. I took a screwdriver and bent the shield out of the way and noise never returned. I'm just baffled that they didn't know how to fix the issue easily or without a less destructive way. Tells me they didn't test drive it or really diagnose the issue to begin with.

My car suddenly started leaking oil recently. I took it into H&D Auto to be looked at, and they…read morediagnosed it as leaking head gaskets. They told me that "both sides are leaking pretty bad" and that the job would be $2500 plus. I got a second opintion at another shop and it turns out the issue was simply that the oil pan plug was loose. When I thought about it, I had just had an oil change when the leak started. We surmised that the shop that did the oil change didn't tighten the plug. I asked the mechanic how the head gaskets looked and he said they looked fine. No issues. No leaks. He sent me on my way without charging me. The oil leak is gone. My understanding is that the long time owner, Harry is selling the shop. He is phasing out and letting the new owner take over the work. I think when Harry was running H&D, it was an honest place to take your car. It doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

They have been working on my 09 Ford Escape since I bought it, and they have done an excellent job keeping my high mileage vehicle running strong!! These guys are so great, that when my son's off road mini motorcycle started leaking oil, they fixed THAT too! And again, charged me a fair price of only $60. Went and looked at a vehicle today and the salesman was very nice. The car had higher mileage on it…read moreand was priced at $16,900. We looked on Kelly Blue book to check the value of the vehicle and it was $12350. The salesman talked to the finance manager and came back with what they printed from Kelly Blue Book and NADA. He quickly showed them to us and then turned the paper over. I asked to see them again and the value of the car showed $12631 on one and $13,925 on the other. On both of the car values they put that the vehicle had a Northwest Package that costs $3750 which brought the price of the car up to $16,000 and $17,000. When I asked what the Northwest Package was he said "extra things you know like a brush guard and stuff like that". There was nothing extra on this car. When we asked if it had this package the salesman admitted it did not. Now I understand that they need to make money on what they sell but to be totally dishonest and add a cost on to the KBB and NADA value sheet that the car doesn't even have so they can make money is disgusting. Do NOT buy a vehicle from this company, they are completely dishonest and will charge you for things that the vehicle doesn't even have to make money.
