This restaurant is a part of Kocherier. Note that the location is different from (but nearby) their original restaurant, Restaurant Koch.
It's a fixed menu for each day, and you have to be there on time (6:30pm), when they welcome you with appetizer and aperitif (and a bread buffet). They serve you a 3-course dinner, and you get all the wine you want during the whole evening! When we went, there were 3 different kinds of white wine, and 3 different kinds of red wine as well.
Of course, you get coffee and tea to go with the dessert. The evening ends at around 9.30pm.
All this is 445 kr. per person! The food was fantastic, and we loved the location (by the harbor, a good view) as well. The building can be a bit difficult to find for the first time though, so allow enough time to get there.
Since it's a fixed menu (and for the two times we were there, the main dish included meat), the place wouldn't be suitable for vegetarians, pescatorians, or any of those who have some kind of food allergy.
But otherwise, the place can give you a really nice, relaxing evening. I love that I don't have to look at the menu or anything. You just need to get there (don't forget to make a reservation!), and once you're there, everything is taken care of. You can just concentrate on your company and good conversation, and you don't even have to worry about how much this is going to cost in the end, since it's all inclusive and clear. read more
