    Veterans Roofing - Roof Replacement

I want to introduce you to "VETERANS ROOFING" - a reliable, trustworthy roofing company that you'd…read morewant as a good friend! In Washington, knowing a dependable roofer is crucial. There are far too many shady contractors out there! A lot of contractors seem more interested in making money than actually looking out for their customers. Here's a perfect example: I run property management for rental homes in Washington, and one of my client's properties is in DuPont. The neighbor recently paid over $9,000 for a full roof replacement, with all kinds of "discounts." The roofing company convinced the owner that their roof was in terrible condition. The neighbor even told me that the contractor claimed my client's roof was in the same bad shape, with a quarter of the shingles supposedly missing. They even put a big yard sign in between the houses! I told the homeowner what the neighbor said, but I also advised them not to rush into anything until I had a chance to inspect it myself. Now, I hadn't flown my drone in over six months, and during a test flight, a strong gust of wind blew it away. Thankfully, I have a 35-foot carbon fiber pole with an HD camera for situations like this. After inspecting the roof, I found that only four shingles were missing - the rest of the roof was in excellent shape with many years of life left. I reached out to several roofing companies for a repair quote, sending them photos of the missing shingles. They all wanted to charge nearly $2,300 just to replace those four to six shingles! Their excuse? The cost of bringing out "equipment" and "insurance." I guess they must be smoking a lot of weed in their offices to come up with those prices. After relaying this to my client, I contacted Veterans Roofing, who I've worked with before and trust. They came out, confirmed five shingles were missing, and found some poor workmanship from the original builder. Not only did they replace the shingles, but they also corrected and repaired the areas where the original company had cut corners. If you need roofing repairs or replacement, I highly recommend VETERANS ROOFING. Give them a call - you won't regret having a good friend on your side!

This year our home in Maple Valley needed a new roof, and we were so happy with the excellent results! They replaced a cedar shake roof with new skylight, new plywood/OSB sheets and 40-year affordable rubberized asphalt product. Absolutely the BEST roof that we could ask for.

He was never pushy, just gave me factual information about the roof and answered all my questions. The estimate was very reasonable. There were no surprises - I had a very old roof and Mears told me that there could be some wood rot or ship lap (there was but glad to have been prepared for this). I received excellent communication from the office before, during and after completion of the job. I was impressed with the quality and professionalism of the roofing crew. They always showed up on time and cleaned up before they left each day. I am very pleased with the new roof and highly recommend Mears Roofing.

Mears was head and shoulders above all the others. The other roofers sent salesman out. Mears showed up and spoke to me not as a salesman, but as a craftsman telling me exactly what I needed for my roof, and more importantly, what I did not need. Leona and Ericka, Mears operational staff, worked with me and were flexible on timing my roof replacement, to include gutters and skylight. The roofing crew exceeded my expectations for professionalism and workmanship. And given my research, their price was very reasonable. Save yourself the hassle and if you have issues with your roof, call Mears. You won't regret it.

Bayside installed the new roof Monday, and they did a fantastic job at a very fair price. To give you an idea of how fair, the price for materials and labor for a metal roof from Bayside was the same as the estimate from one of the other local roofing companies for an asphalt shingled roof. (If you haven't priced roofs lately, metal roofs generally cost at least twice as much as asphalt shingled roofs). Omar is a super-nice guy and very knowledgeable, not only about roofing but all the related issues that come up: rain gutters, working around the electrical service drop and internet cables, etc. His team is professional and they take pride in their work. I was impressed by how efficiently everything went, from the estimate, to ordering the panels, to the tear-down and installation. The only slow part of the process was me taking a while to decide on the color of the panels; I went with a dark brown ("Midnight Bronze"), which ended up being a good choice. Although we replaced the old garage roof for functional reasons, the new roof is beautiful and improves the look of our property. When the time comes to replace the roof of our house itself (which will get a matching metal roof), I will definitely call Bayside. Thanks, Omar!

Again, Super happy with the results. Recently had another company do some work around our house and found that they damaged our recently replaced gutter. Didn't expect that and was very grateful. Patriot roofing came through again! Highly recommend!!

Scheduling = A, Initial Communications = A, Estimate & Sales approach = D…read more NOTE: I did NOT get a bid or have work done, so rating/recommendation is only a "maybe". I still think it's important for prospective customers to have upfront expectations. I submitted an online request for a free estimate. The office called and set up the appt. On the day of, Jeremy texted to confirm and then when he was en route. He showed up, I explained and showed him a place where a leak occurred and that's what made us decide to replace. We discussed new architectural asphalt shingles. He was then going to go outside, check on the roof and afterwards into the attic from which he'd work an estimate. He said he could then meet with me or schedule the next day to meet, for an hour or even just 45 minutes. I work M-F and said I did not need a "sales pitch", I have some working/DIY knowledge of projects, materials and bidding. He then suggested next week. I declined saying it's not necessary. He said there's no reason then for him to proceed with doing the work if I wasn't going to meet afterwards. I was quite surprised. I said "okay, I'll pass" and he said 'thank you' and left. I've had two full estimates from two OTHER, reputable Roofing companies last week, no sales push. They went on the roof, walked the perimeter, sat in their cars and sent the estimates to my email and phone. Not sure why Patriot INSISTS on a sales meeting! Disappointed.
