I had a friendly employee guide me to an open fitting room, but once I got to the register (with a different employee) she had hardly said a word to me. I don't think I did anything to warrant a no-talking experience over the counter. Maybe she thought I wasn't the right size to be shopping there, I don't know. She just seemed really talkative to the customer ahead of me in line and fell silent when it was my turn to be rung up. I left happy with my purchase but that interaction just made me feel defeated.
