Unfortunately for me, they had sold out of Creme Brulees (I arrived their at 3pm so i guess they must be pretty popular) However, FORTUNATELY for me, since I was already lured into the bakery and gawking at the delicious tarts, I had the urge to purchase two of the tarts (~$10 together) which I do not regret depositing most of my daily calories into. The furnishing of the interior and exterior of the store is quite retro and the feels of raw-ness, but its just the perfect balance. I will definitely be coming back for a visit,.. until I get my creme brulee ;)

There are two casual tables inside, and a few outside too, but most people opt for take away. While you wait there are interesting drinks to look at in the cabinet as well as the baking in action behind the counter. My favourite is the oregano with veggies. ($3.50) At Mina, it is filled with tomato, olives and capsicum. The spinach is also delicious. At Mina, it is finely chopped with onion and lots of lemony sumac, then folded inside the flatbread into a triange. ($3.) Spinach & feta is another variation. The flavours are punchy and strong, herbs, saltiness, lemon, the bread lightly crunchy outside, soft & warm inside.

There's hardly any labels at their displays so it's hard to know what exactly it is that you're getting if you're not familiar with what they are. I think we've tried the sfoof and one flavour of their baklava, which are now both my favourites. They are pretty sweet and can get a bit sickening if you eat too much at one go, but delicious nonetheless, and great to get the garlic smell off your breath after a meal at nearby El Jannah. There are some tables and chairs for eating in, I reckon it would be good to get a group of friends together and get one of everything to get a sampler of what they have.

Try the oregano manaeesh for $2 or the favourite of the day, the oregano and cheese for $4. If you're also feeling adventurous the sparkling date drink was also a refreshing change from all the normal soft drinks you find in cafes and shops. The owners here were really nice too, the only down side were the rowdy school kids, but thats not enough to keep me from coming back.
