I took my sons 2026 Honda crf110 there to have a new inner tube put on the rear tire. They called and said the bike was ready. I get there and the tire is still flat ok stuff happens. I left the bike there and the next day they called or actually I had to call and they were waiting to see if the tube was going to hold air on there second attemp. I picked the bike up and brought it home and I test rodeit before I let my son ride it and I noticed the rear brakes did not work. They put the back tire on wrong are you kidding me did they test drive my child's bike, did they even test the brakes did the person who worked on my sons bike even know what he was doing?? I was going to let it go but I felt that I needed to let the service department manager Jack know what kind of work he was sending out of his department and he was defensive and rude. He thought I was there to try and get my $120 back for the inner tube repair. I told him I was there to let him know that my son could of gotten hurt and they need to pay more attention to basic very basic repairs. I only went there because I live in north port and it was closer than Ft Meyers or Sarasota but they are basically minimum wage idiots at Destination power sports and could care less about return customers. I WILL NEVER take my Yamaha Waverunners back to Destination Powersports! My Waverunner was having a mechanical problem. It lost power while on the water. I had purchased an extended warranty from the Yamaha ( biggest waste of money), so I brought the waverunner to get a diagnostic on what was causing the problem. A few days later, they told me 1. that I needed an oil change (I had an oil change already done recently with them because I purchased the maintenance plan ) , 2, I needed to replace my entire impeller and impeller shaft because there were nicks on the blades and they were not forcing enough water through the coolant system which caused the exhaust resonator to overheat and malfunction. My response was if I have the maintenance plan why are you charging me for another oil change? Why do I need to replace the impeller system when I don't have a power issue while in the water? No one can answer my questions. They wanted to charge me $ 2500 for all the alleged repairs and labor! I paid the diag fee of $177 and immediately took them to Wavetech in Fort Myers where they replaced the exhaust resonator, inspected my impeller system , water tested the waverunner for $846!!. Wavetech found sand debris in the exhaust coolant system that most likely was the cause of the problem. They also said that there was NO need to change my oil. DO NOT TRUST Destination Powersports for repairs on your watercraft! Always get a second opinion if you do decide to use them and they always deny your warranty claims or at least that's been my experience. My skis are only 2 and a half years old, garage kept, and routinely maintained. It's disappointing that they tried to charge me for things they didn't need to be repaired. It was very apparent when they told me I needed an oil change until I mentioned the service plan, and they weren't authorized to do it because I didn't put that many hours on since the previous service. read more

Worst customer service experience. My first day coming to this business was a scheduled appointment with a salesman to look into purchasing one of two new motorcycles. The salesman who I had the appointment with was too busy helping other customers and pushed me over to another salesman. No big deal, at first the new salesman seemed polite and professional enough. However, they became non-communicative as soon as I left. I was told they just got in a used bike that I was very interested in. The salesman scheduled me the following week to do a test ride on the bike, to ensure there were no red flags for me. Being an hour drive to this store, I called the salesman 30 minutes prior to my scheduled test ride to let him know I would be late due to interstate traffic. It was only then did the salesman tell me the bike was still getting worked on. I asked why and he claimed it was having its spark plugs replaced. A bit weird, but I took him at his word. He told me he would call me later the same day to update me. He called me at the end of the day telling me it was still being worked on and he would call the next day. (Big red flag.) The following day passed with no call back. The second day after, still no call. I called the business to find out what was going on. Another salesman said he couldn't find the one I'd been working with but left a note to call me on his desk. Yet again, another day passes with no word back. At this point I figure three things happened: 1) They sold the bike and ghosted me so they wouldn't have to tell me they sold a bike they had scheduled me to test ride. 2) There was something tragically wrong with the bike and they didn't want to tell me, and ghosted me assuming I'd just forget about it. Or 3) Their customer service is so bad they ignore customers who were wanting to pay for a $20k+ bike in full. I was even considering just buying a brand new bike instead of the used one if they would at least called me back. Either way, I highly recommend you take your money elsewhere. I'm sure almost any place would be more deserving of your money than this place. read more

The Sales part was easy, I knew I wanted a Waverunner & they had one available. Service/Maint. guy covered the ski well with us. The 1-star is 100% for the Financing...and should be a zero! I had secured a pre-approval with Suncoast CU at a lower rate and when I went for the purchase I was completely lied to and duped by the finance guy into using Yamaha's financing. He actually said, "I've actually dealt with Suncoast before, they only cover up to the MSRP...trust me, I've been doing this a long time, Yamaha has the best financing." After the pressure was off and I had time to really sit down and number crunch (unfortunately AFTER I signed), Yamaha's financing was/is way higher and is going to cost me a lot more money in interest! Fast-talking and very dishonest! Also, as a follow up, Suncoast called me later and said my financing would have in fact been even lower, they DO cover the entire price, and dealers get kick backs from Yamaha when they get buyers to use their financing...all makes sense now! Was sold a used bike under the impression that every person in the building knew the owner and that he took really good care of it. Lots of aftermarket parts and tuning. They insisted on another 5 grand in in-house warranty that covered wheels and tires and oil changes and spark plugs. 30 days later I needed a replacement. Received the bike with 2/32 tread on the rear. They said if I bought a tire they would install free because of the service package. Wrong 126.00 later. My wife and I put a deposit of $1000 on a 2021 Yamaha Waverunner VX Deluxe on August 22, 2020. Haven't heard from them in months and we decided we want our deposit back after six months of waiting considering they still have no idea when it might be delivered. They refused to give the $1000 deposit back and offered a refund of $500. WOW! That's insulting. We signed nothing that claimed the deposit was non-refundable despite their claim we did. Greg actually tried to tell me our deposit was non-refundable because someone wrote in cursive writing on a page showing or drivers license info the word 'non-refundable." There are no signatures on that page or initials. The deposit page has no mention of anything being non-refundable nor does the "Purchase Worksheet." BEWARE if you give a deposit here! They assume you'll tell them to keep your money, my bad for asking for MY money back. read more

Im in this since 1989 and buying new bikes since 1995, I bought from lot of different stores through Florida and this people are the worst since first day, I don't know how I ended buying the bike from them, Obviously they got it at the moment and was the closest store to me at 3 hours and 35 min of distance, Once I was there everything went pretty good and I told them they will see me in less than 6 months to buy another one, Nobody helped me to put the bike on my truck so I ended leaving the original stand there, They made thousands of false promises about send it to me, Today 2 months ago the manager doesn't want to send me the stand because they give it to someone else and now they made a new order for mine but now that they finally receive it they Don't want it to send it to me and they don't want to send me the green sticker either (Manager) I practically beg to them to buy the bike and now for the green sticker and the original stand, Not to mention that having a credit score of 759 they run my credit like 5 time without telling me, They disappeared 2 days with my info and I didn't know anything about what happened with my sale. On 05-22-19 my Partner and I purchased a brand new 2019 Yamaha VX Deluxe Waverunner. Also, at that time we purchased an extended warranty and a Pre Paid Maintenance Program. To this date we have never received any kind of contract or paperwork explaining exactly what we did purchase for our additional $2,470.00. When the Waverunner was ready for it's first 10 hour service we called the dealership and arranged for it to be picked up from our home the following day. The driver called the next morning and said he was on his way (about a 1 hour drive), 2 1/2 hours later he arrived claiming that he got lost. The next day they returned the Waverunner and charged us the agreed upon $50 delivery fee. Just for grins I decided to check the oil to make sure everything was good after the first service. When I removed the dipstick I discovered that it was completely dry. We immediately called the dealership and they said that the engine needed to be brought up to operating temperature before an accurate reading could be obtained. I followed their procedure along with the procedure outlined in the owners manual and the oil level was still an inch below the the "L" Line on the dipstick. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Also, there was oil spilled all over bottom of the bilge and the battery was so low on water you could see the top of the plates. NOT A VERY GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE SERVICE DEPT, THEY CAN'T EVEN GET A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE RIGHT! We then visited the dealership and requested a refund for the $1,395.00 Pre Paid Maintenance Program because I will never trust this dealership for any kind of service again. Who knows what else they didn't do? We even offered to pay full price for the botched 10 hour service. We were then informed by Mark the manager that the Maintenance Program is non refundable. This is not a professional way of doing business. Buyer beware!! Matter has been reffered to the Better Business Bureau Update: 7/30 /2019 Have spoke to Mark at Destination Powersports per phone conversation and he has agreed to refund the $1395.00 that we paid for the Per Paid Maintenance Plan. As far as I am concerned this matter is closed providing they follow through with their resolution. Update:3/17/2020 Due to the fact that Destination Powersports did not provide a refund as agreed, I would like to re-open my claim. Mark at Destination Powersports stated that if we removed the claim with the BBB he would process the refund. Many months has gone by and this has not happened. If you are considering doing business with Destination Powersports our advice is to run like hell. They got us for almost $1400.00. read more

I bought my first bike from Destination Power Sports and the sales experience was excellent. I was treated well and they gave me an amazing deal. I am a new rider and paid to have the bike delivered to my house. I paid for the delivery in full at the time of purchase. Delivery was supposed to happen by noon this past Saturday. When noon passed I called them (already a red flag that they didn't call me about a delay). They apologized and said that I would have the bike in a couple hours, they had gotten delayed. At 3pm I called again. They apologized again and assured me they hadn't forgotten. I told them I was concerned since they close at 4pm on Saturdays. I was assured that they would work late to get me my bike and they expected they would be there by 5pm. The bike was never delivered. Good sale but very poor service. Customer service basics are to contact the customer when there is a delay rather than your customer having to contact your business. And if you say you are going to do something then it needs to be followed through. At the time of me writing this they still have my bike that I have paid for in full and the delivery fee for delivering it to me. I will amend this review with any corrective measures they make to resolve this issue. Update: Bike was delivered and the same day it was delivered I received a post card from them saying I could come get my license plate. It would have made more sense for them to put the license plate on it before delivery. So, I rode up to the dealer to get the license plate. They didn't have a plate bracket and used zip ties to attach the plate. Seriously? This is a dealer not some Joe I bought from on Craigslist. Ultimately once they get your money the service is abysmal. The sale went so well that I was certain I would be coming back here within the year to buy a newer and bigger bike. No way that is happening now. Update 2: I bought another bike and due to the after purchase experience I had with my first bike I didn't buy from Destination Powersports. Nobody ever tried to make this situation right so they lost a far more significant sale this time around. read more

I called on Tuesday for my wife's bike had a check engine come on and she only had it for 2 weeks they told me either Wednesday or Thursday would be good and all I wanted was the engine problem looked at .My son dropped off the bike for us and allegedly told the service department to also do its 1st oil change but never called to confirm this with me. I call to pick it up and they tell me I owe them 250.00 bucks when I never authorized that service instead they go thru my son that probably didn't know what he was signing and gave permission to do so so now that something that was under the 6 month warranty now costs me lots of money when I was more than capable of handling a simple oil change .Be aware of Destination Powersports of services being done without your knowledge read more

My experience at DESTINATION POWERSPORTS in Punta Gorda Florida. I brought my Jetski there to have a starting problem fixed. 2011 Kawasaki 300X with 40 hours on it. They told me it needed a new Jet Pump and bearings. Oil change and tuneup. $1700.00 I had no choice but to have it done as I am selling it. I picked it up and had someone come to buy it but it wouldn't start (Same problem) brought it back. They then said I need a new Battery $206.00 more and asked me if I wanted it serviced while it was there (can you imagine that). They told me the engine was locked up due to pressure from the jet pump. The engine was NEVER locked up, it just wouldn't start. It ran fine when it started. Went in and talked to the manager who was just a kid with a no interest look on his face. Thought I would share this story with all. read more

I've had 2 Waverunner's sitting in their yard for 7 weeks. Starting on March 15th. After 3 weeks I called and nothing had been done. They said in a week or so they'd be ready. One was a recall, no parts in stock. 2 weeks later a new service manger is hired. Says we're ordering the part on 4-15 . I was like, are you shitting me. They've been there a month!! Yesterday I get a call asking me when I'd like to drop my Waverunner's off because the parts in, May 4th!!! Drop my Waverunner's off that have been in your frigging parking lot for 7 f..ing weeks!!! I then asked who's the owner. They said a corporation. I said who's the CEO. We don't know! I found his name, Shawn Avra. I tracked him down in Michigan. Left a message wanting to talk to him. He had the service manager (the problem) call me. I didn't talk to him. I called Shawn Avra back again, he had the GM of Destination power shits call me. I didn't take the call. I called good all Shawn Avra a third time! Left a message. No call yet! If the CEO and owner of the company doesn't care enough to talk to his customer, then he's not worthy of mine or any bodies business! We have bought our dirt bike and fourwheeler here never had any issues until this past year . Some of the newer staff (I say newer cause I never seen them prior) Is very rude and unprofessional. We get excuse after excuse as to why our four wheeler is not done. A young girl that worked in the service department named Haley was one of the only employees that was respectful and did everything she could to make sure the customers were satisfied . Our fourwheeler sat there for about 2 months, we dropped it off for a seal leaking . After about a month an a half they call and say "well there was a bearing we had to replace but we wanted to let you know that you have a oil leak" mind you the reason it was in the shop to begin with was for the oil leak . So we finally were able to pick up the fourwheeler still without the leak being fixed . We were told when we get all the parts in we will let you know and you can bring it in and we will jump right on it . Told drop it off today Jan. 7, 2020 and that it would be done Friday . Now the service department is going back on their word . He said "he will get to it when he gets to it" I myself work in customer service and communication is key as well as being polite . Not very customer friendly. Had traveled there from Sarasota (over an hour away) to view the Polaris Slingshot as my wife and I are interested in purchasing a new one in the next couple of months. After meeting the sales associate and answering a few questions about the vehicle, we asked him why it would be better buying one there than anywhere else. He then explained how the customer service/support was far better than any other dealership and the owner took pride by placing the customer first. How that all changed in a moments notice when asked to test drive one. The manager told the sales associate assisting us that we could not test drive one unless we were buying one today. Also, said he could not afford to lose a sales associate from the floor during a test drive when it was hardly busy and a bunch of them just standing around. I got a bunch of reasons why they're not done - our watercraft guy quit, we're backlogged, the only engine mechanic left is working on bikes and watercraft (except for mine). I was told in late November or early December that they ordered the parts. When told them I'll pay for the parts and take them somewhere else. Not so fast, the parts were not ordered. What a wanker shop. I went to Sun sports in fort Myers and was talked to by three salesmen and given a test ride on two bikes in the first 20 min. I then went to Six Bends HD in FM and was greeted by two salesmen and given a ride on two HD bikes in the first 30 min. My experience with the service Dept for Polaris was Horrible and cost me a S#%T load of money. In February I went into the dealership to have my 2010 Polaris 850 XP ES diagnosed, The front wheel drive, or 4 wheel drive was not working. I was told it would be looked at in 3 business days. After 13 Business days and prompted by my phone calls, they finally took it in for a 10 min diagnostic. Which was: jack my bike up, put it in 4 wheel drive, watch the drive shaft move but not my tires. No electrical check. And they pronounced my front differential dead and needing to be replaced. I inquired about the electrical part of the diff explaining to the service guy about the magnetic action of the diff. HE TOLD ME "No Such Magic Like That exists" ! and that I would need to replace my Diff For about $2000 TWO THOUSAND Dollars. OK, Fast forward to Sept Now. I finally saved up the money for a Differential. Great?. Right? NO! I pull it apart to find out both front axle spline are stripped and the differential is FINE. Thanks A LOT to my service writer and the non qualified tech that was given the job of looking at my bike. If you don't know WTF you are doing , don't Pretend you do! I went to Destination Powersports to get two tires mounted and balanced on rims that were off the bike. A couple hours later I receive my tires and rims mounted and balanced. I was charged $70 for both. When I got home I looked at the rims and found there were no wheel weights which means that the tires were not balanced at all. I called back and they told me to bring the tires back to get balanced. A couple of days later I took the tires back in to get balanced. I dropped the tires off, 3 1/2 hours later I went back to pick up my tires. When I asked if they were balanced I was told the balance machine was broken and they could not balance my tires. They could have told me the first day or before I brought them in the second time that they could not balance them. I would not recommend getting anything serviced at Destination Powersports. Im glad it was just mounting and balancing tires I hate to see if I need needed a major repair. read more
