Got my car here and that was good. But i took it in for a roof leak repair, they charged me $349 to get it "repaired" and now it's leaking in the same spot. I call them to book an appointment to get it fixed and I go in at 7:30 for said appointment. To be told that if it's in the same spot, it's probably body work issue which they don't do and to save my time and money (which i shouldn't even be paying again in the first place) that I should go to a body shop and they wouldn't do anything to stop the leak they didn't stop in the first place. Now I'm missing work, paying again, and my roof is stuck leaking in our now very rainy Vancouver days. Never coming back. You guys sold us a car with close to dead battery! The lift gate stopped working and when we brought it to Nissan and they suggested to replace the battery, the lift gate started to work again. When I called about it, was referred to the sales team in which Jack said that it's not part of any safety issue and claims you guys sell "quality" used vehicles. So it was never covered. Not even any compensation to at least replace the battery in order to retain our business and possible have us recommend your dealership to our friends and family. The only thing we'd recommend to them and to others is to stay away from you guys. It's comical that you guys only respond when I leave a review but never once followed up while we were there the many times we had to bring the car back! Unbelievable! Ps. We had been a customer for decades since first purchasing a Honda and had been religiously visiting them for all services for our vehicles. That being said - we visited them because we are a believer of maintaining the car through the dealer (to each their own). While my aunt was driving, we noticed our snow tire (purchased in winter 2020) was practically flat. It was 4PM midweek and we thought to call the servicing centre to try and get some assistance or book an appointment as we also had BCAA and they could have towed to them easily. We were on call with a representative and when we told our issue all she replied with was that their next available appointment was 2 weeks out... we then persisted and asked if there was anything else we could do. She then sent us to the "service department" but it kept ringing nonstop and 8 minutes later she then answered and said seemed like no one could pick up and that we could TRY coming in the day after as a walk in. We thought it was a call centre because it seemed a bit impersonal. A little frustrating on our part of course because we had a flat and while we lived nearby didn't really have a way to get there and back based on a "chance" of if someone could see us. The next day came and because we had errands to run we called BCAA for support and he checked the tire valve core and filled it with air and then we decided to go to Honda. We had heard that some dealers were better at taking walk ins (depending on the severity of the issue) but alas, they still turned us away and told us to come the day after at 230 as they could make time for us and could pick it up at 6 or so... Anyways, we dropped the car off the day after and they said it would take a couple of hours. That was Thursday. They then called us in the evening and said they'd need more time and our car would be ready Friday. Finally Friday morning comes and the representative calls us and said "they found the valve was loose - tightened it and to keep an eye on it." The job is probably 0.3 hours but it took a phone call, walk in visit, 4+ hour appointment window for a "keep an eye on it". Granted they didn't charge us but... in my opinion it was handled incorrectly as we have to anxiously await if our tire will deflate again. While I am open for discussion, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Unsure which dealership in Burnaby the car was registered in, I made the same inquiry at the OpenRoad Honda Burnaby branch, and the customer representative there was extremely helpful, offered to look up information using different methods, and provided detailed explanation. Our engine shut off while driving after leaving the shop! I just want to share my displeasure with Destination Honda on a recent visit for a battery replacement. Our 2016 Honda Odyssey won't start when my wife was about to drive home from Granville Island. Brake pedal won't budge and so the car won't start. Upon researching online, I learned that it may be a problem with the battery. To make the long story short, I managed to jump start the van and headed to Honda Destination to have the battery replaced. Sam So helped us and was able to promptly replace the battery. As we were walking back to the van, my wife and I noticed that the van was unresponsive to our key fob clicks. This turned out to be a huge red flag. Sam was able to manually get into the car using the traditional key and was able to start the car. He then assured us that everything was fine and so we drove away from the lot. Upon reaching Willingdon Avenue, the car engine shut off while driving. To our horror, the steering locked up (which allowed very little turning radius) and the brake stopped working after a couple of pumps. Fortunately, we were able to slowly glide to Steel Creek, put the van to a full stop using the foot brake. Upon coming to a full stop, I was able to shift back to Park and start the van again. We called Sam and agreed to head back to the shop. He was nice enough to call Uber to give us a lift back home so the shop can perform some diagnostics the next morning. As it turned out, Sam admitted they released the vehicle too quickly and didn't give the computer enough time to allow it to relearn/reset fully. I was told that the diagnostic and all the time spent that morning were free of charge. I had to remind Sam, not to sound unappreciative, that we could have been in a fatal accident. I can only imagine if that happened while we were driving down a steep hill like Boundary road and the engine shut off. Sam assured me that it was a one off and there's nothing to be worried about as everything checked out ok. I'm sorry but the van not responding to the key fobs the previous night should have been a huge red flag. It was a case of negligence that could have ended up badly for me and my wife. I will leave a two star as I would like to take into account that we got to the shop late in the day and that may have played a role in what happened. Booked an appointment last Friday and asked for a price, they said starting $126 and then I asked I need the exact price.. Then she said they do not know?? So I said well who knows? She said she'll get a service advisor to call me and I waited 4 days no one did.. I called back today and asked about the call I was waiting for she gave me the same starting quote and I had to ask 3 times before she said she'll connect me with an advisor. I asked how long should I wait for this call as I do not want to wait another 4 days.. she says I am not sure we notify them and they call whenever. I mean oh my freaking gosh!!! Finally someone called and started oil change $126, tire rotation $40, something else $100 something. So I said what's the total she calculated and came up with $448.76 plus tax. Starting at $126 ahhaha. Then I called my good old Vancouver Honda $338 and quoted me RIGHTAWAY. Not going here and do not recommend! They don't even know what they are doing man and super pricy?!? I have to say this was probably the worst dealership experience I encountered. The vehicle was not repaired as agreed on pick up day. In mater of fact the salesperson assured the chips on the windshield were repaired until I checked (no rocket science just visual inspection and my finger feeling the surface). It was clear that they were not repaired... The excuse I got was that he was "not a glass expert". Not an ideal experience with Honda Destination Services - Burnaby, BC.. Booked an appointment (Sat, May 21st @ 1:30pm) via telephone for my Honda Fit - oil change, winter to summer tire change service, also as I mentioned my car was experiencing some issues with car engine shuddering/feeling it was going to stalling during stopping, Honda service assistant suggested a diagnostic service to be added as well. When arrived I was assigned to Service Agent Arron. Arron looked at his appt details on his ipad and noticed diagnostic was part of the booked appt, he then said asked me why I had booked a diagnostic service and I explained to him the issue I was experiencing. Arron then suggested that to change my appt to a B/9 service which would encompass the tire, oil change & diagnostic needed + other things items. Under his advise I then agreed to this change to the B/9 service. Arron then made this change to my service appt record on his ipad and said because of the diagnostic item, as he was a Jr. agent it was not suppose to have been assigned to him so he needed to referred my file to a Sr Service Agent - Danny. I said OK and then waited as he walked over to Danny, who seemed to be busy, so Arron came back and asked me to wait in their waiting lounge, I then asked and confirmed with Arron, that they had all the info they needed from me, which Arron said yes, and said I would then just leave the car with them and confirmed my contact cell# and left. At 4:02 pm I texted Danny checking on my car and asked to see if they found the engine issue with my car shuddering during stopping? Danny called at 4:22, informing me that he was not aware of my said issue and that I was only booked for the 'B/9 Service' & I would need a diagnostic service to be performed which is not part of that package.. I explained to Danny that my original booked appt did include a diagnostic but that I was told by the Arron to change my appt the "B service' which would also include the needed diagnostic as well. Danny then said in a condescending manner that they did not have "B service" but that I was booked for a B/9 Service and that a diagnostic was not part of that package. I then said to Danny that you know what service I was referring to & that if the miscommunication was with Arron that he discuss this with him. Danny said he would have the technician perform the diagnostic to my car, After short while, I received another call back from Danny, that no codes registered with the diagnostic, no test drive had been performed and Danny wanted to know how much further I wanted then to continue to pursue the issue. I said to Danny i just wanted to be sure that my car is safe to drive, and he could not, and then continued to chatter on suggesting it could be the brake rotters or the compressor...they did not know what the real issue was...his tone was.so dismissive. I ask them if they had checked the spark plugs, read an article causing similar issues, Danny said that is not part of the B/9 service package. At 5:10 I went back to the dealership, where I introduced myself to Danny, no greeting he just said my car was not ready. I asked him when he thought it would be ready, he said another 1/2 hour possibly. I walked away but saw Arron and spoke with him Arron at least took ownership of his miscommunication and apologized. I accepted Arron's apology, but explained the poor service I was having with Danny. Arron said he would refer me to his manager and asked me to wait in the waiting room. Eventually spoke with the Assistant Manager - Joe Driver who listened to my issues. After two test drives later Joe & the Mechanic - Yeohie and one with me, where they both said they experienced the engine shuddering during stops, they did replace 4 spark plugs (Joe indicated not considered part of the B/9 service package) and Joe assured me that the car is safe to drive & said to contact them if the car was still not running properly. Though, Joe & Yeohie the were very good to converse with, unfortunately, after all the bad customer service experience with Danny + approx 5 hours waiting and paying an invoice of $401/ Service B/9 + 4 spark plugs labour etc. - my car is still experiencing the same issue - engine shuddering / possible stalling. Even with Joe's assurances that my car is safe to drive, I still feel it was not. The next day a family friend took just 1/2 hour to look at my car and found what the actual issue was - it was the ignitors that needed changing. Take away would not recommend taking your car to Honda Destination Service - as if you have a car issue that does not fit within one of their pre-assigned maintenance packages it seems to short circuit their ability to help you. read more

Always friendly service, and when I brought my Honda Pilot in because it was driving rough it ended up being a loose connection that they fixed and didn't even charge me for it. Shame on you Honda.... I brought my car in for a service on the brakes. They told me that there was a host of problems (rear brake pads, rotors and seized calipers), totaling almost $2000 after taxes. The seized calipers seemed odd to me considering the car is driven everyday and is only 7 years old. So, I brought it elsewhere for a second opinion. Nothing wrong with the calipers, but the rotors and pads had to be replaced. I paid a fraction of the price elsewhere, only $350 after taxes. We drive a Kia Soul but live close by to this dealership. Every service appointment we have had has been a very good experience. Booking appointments was easy, service advisors knew our service history, are friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Prices seem reasonable, our vehicle status is well communicated to us and always delivered on time or early. The customer lounge in the service department is also well sized to space out especially during COVID times. Well lit, lots of power & USB outlets as well as seating and table space to get work done while waiting for your vehicle. So, overall a very comfortable and fantastic experience every time we need service work done compared to our local Kia dealership. What were they thinking? They ended up putting grease all over my dashboard. I told them that my passenger side area squeaks. I told them that the sound came from the wheel itself. It happens when I drive a certain speed. Also, I told them that it had nothing to do with the dashboard. So, I got my car back. They told me that they could really hear nothing and the sounds couldn't be replicated. I drove home and I realized that my passenger side dashboard area was almost completely (80%) covered in grease. The day of, they called to let me know that they didn't have my tires to do the change. It was a HUGE inconvenience and I was upset and annoyed. I noticed all the poor reviews before my actual visit to this dealership; which was today. I stepped in into the showroom to look at the display cars and after about 5-10 minutes, I was ready to talk to someone. The sales staff did see me but no one approached me. I decided to approach a man who I thought was the sales manager and he was. We chatted about the car I wanted and I put down a deposit for since I already knew what I wanted. I found that I was treated with respect and courtesy from this man. I would easily recommend him to others. I think that customers who don't know what car they want and if they are ready to buy most likely irritate the salespeople and perhaps that is why so many poor reviews are present. Even if this is the case, nobody should be treated poorly in a customer service environment. It was just the luck of the draw that I was treated well. I did bring my sister's car to this location for an oil change many years ago and got upsold to other services which I politely declined. I cannot comment on the service department at this time. Mixed feelings about this place. We purchased a used car about a year ago. The purchase went well, and we had a great impression about the dealership and our experience (Kevin). A year later, we've come to realize that there is a lot about the car that the dealership didn't tell us...which is unfortunate, but we can live with. What is horrendous and shameful, is bringing the car in for an assessment, and have someone (Peter) tell us that some parts would need to be changed due to wear and tear. Good thing we sought a second opinion from a garage...we saved over $300.00. You can buy your car here, just don't get it serviced here. You risk paying for parts and labour that's not required. A 6.8% of "shop material" was added to the bill. In April 2021, it was my first time encountered with this charge , the advisor who helped me tried to avoid my question about the "shop material" until I firmly asked 3 times. They told me that it was for the shop to buy hand sanitizers, gloves, and masks. That time, I just switched the winter tires to summer, and I thought it is a lump sum charge, so I just ignored it. Today, I went there to have a more expensive service, the "shop material" charge turned to be quite expensive and now I know that it is based on percentage. I paid $40 for the "shop material". How much gloves, hand sanitizers, and masks do they need for doing 1 service? A 1L hand sanitizers now cost $4.99 and a 50-disposable masks cost $9.99 - 3L of hand sanitizers, 150 masks for a 3-hour service? This is quite excessive. We are no in the phrase 3 of reopening, mask is not required by people that are fully vaccinated. So why adding this cost to the customers? If the company think this is the cost that must be covered, it should be charged in the service base price. read more
