Its a great little strip/side mall. It has a huge movie theater right in the middle. It has a hand full of restaurants inside and out the mall. It has a big Bass Pro. Great place to shop. read more

I really do like coming to the Commons when the weather is nice. They have some of the cutest little boutique stores along with staples from any mall. I'm sad to hear they are losing Banana Republic, though. There are some great restaurants to get a quick bite at there, too. read more

Beautiful area with tons of great little boutiques & chain stores. Arrived an hour before closing so we only had time for a few stores but selections were great & we plan to go back for a shopping day before we leave! There's also a movie theater, a bass pro shop and/or sports bar for the men, Starbucks for some added caffeine to make it to all the many, many cute shops! A must see!! read more

Great place to shop, we make it a point to go here everytime we're in Destin. Great variety of stores and restaurants and not nearly as crowded as an "indoor" mall. To the reviewer who gave it only two stars, have you ever been to Destin Commons? There is no Off 5th at the Commons. There is, however, an Off 5th at the Silver Sands Outlet center in Miramar Beach. Like the Destin Commons, the Silver Sands center is also a wonderful place to shop...bargain hunting or not. read more

This walking trip mall is awesome! I've never just walked into a store, made my biggest shopping spree (H&M) and then walk a few meters to drink an original milkshake malt and took some sweet photos by the lit-up trees, hanging lights, and amazingly kept flowers and water fountain. After reading a few of the reviews here for the Commons I was really looking forward to visiting. Unfortunately the Commons are much smaller than we expected and the majority of stores don't seem targeted at a family. There are plenty of stores for Mom, one or two (including a train) for kids, and maybe one or two for Dad (I'm counting Brookstone as a Dad destination). Expansion is coming in 2014, so hopefully this will balance out the mix. read more

whoever designed this place wasn't very practical! If it rains you are just SOL! I live here and avoid shopping here because it is the biggest cluster f@#k , I ever saw! Who designs like this? It is not conveintly designed! Everything here is overpriced too. You can find the same brand store in other locations nearby and not as pricey! read more

Don't get me wrong I've always loved The Commons, it's a great place to eat, shop, etc...love the new expansion as well, but I'm writing this review and giving only two stars based on an experience that really irritated me a while back. I was there at a restaurant/bar recently, and I ended up having way too much to drink, so of course I had to get a ride home with someone and leave my car there that night. When I came back to get my car the next day, I had a citation on my car about some bull crap about overnight parking... Blah blah..and I was within close time range of being towed off. Like really people!?! So what I left my car there overnight! I had to under the circumstances! Would they rather me try to drive intoxicated!?! It made me really mad. Thought it was completely ridiculous of them to do that. I'm not sure when that even started either, because I used to work there at Bass Pro Shops and there was a couple of occasions I left my car there a day or two because it was broke down once, and another time I went home with a guy I was dating at the time and left my car overnight then and never got cited for it like that.There are gonna be times when people have to leave their cars there overnight for certain reasons and I don't see what the big deal is, or why they even care. I could understand if a car was parked there for a week or more and how that would be a concern to them, but c'mon people, don't freak out over a night or even two! I would never attempt to drink and drive, so yes I'm gonna get a ride and leave my car in their parking lot if I have to....so they can take their little white ticket and shove it!! read more

I love coming home to visit my family and hitting the Destin Common shops. A lot has changed since this shopping mall opened in 2004, but I believe that the changes are for the better. I've worked at a handful of the retail shops while in high school or when I was home for a summer in college and I've always had great experiences in those jobs. The security officers are nice, even if they are a little warning-ticket happy. The shops are relevant to what a lot of the locals AND tourists want, which is something rare in Destin. I love the location of Starbucks and I've spent many evenings sitting out there with friends or family just enjoying the warm air and coastal breeze. The one thing that I've always said would make the Commons even better is if people couldn't drive in the middle. Maybe that would make it more inconvenient, but come Friday and Saturday nights (or during the summer) there are usually obnoxious teenagers blaring music and acting a fool as they drive through the middle. Just to show how common that is - when I went to my senior prom our limo driver asked us if we wanted to drive down the center of the Commons. Our answer was no, but obviously most teenagers enjoy the attention. Everyone else, not so much. Block off the center, you've got 5 stars from me :) read more

Love that you can shop, eat, drink, and go to a movie if you want. This place has a little bit of everything. Its all outside too so you can enjoy the beautiful weather as you stroll around from place to place! Great way to spend an afternoon! read more

I love this mall! It's an outdoor strip mall so it's very casual like even though they have some very nice stores through out. It has everything from a theater, places to eat, coldstone creamery, and they've even added an Ice Skating rink. I love ice skating but if I'm at the beach that's not exactly something I would want to do, but it's definitely a fun option! If your in the Destin area this mall is a must! Also be on the look out for some celebrities I've seen Britney Spears in Destin before and I know her sister Jamie Lynn goes to this mall a lot. read more

I brought my family here while we were vacationing in Florida and they had all of my favorite stores, as well as my teen daughter's favorite brands! Even my husband who hates shopping had some fun at the Bass Pro Shop here. They have a kids playground that was a bit crowded, but looked like the kids were having a blast. Great family-oriented place for shopping and dining. read more

we think the waterpark area is great for the kids but PLEASE have a proper area for changing the wet swimsuits BESIDES the public restroom, floors are very wet and slippery!!!!!! toilets seat are wet and had to wait while people changed clothes VERY BAD!!!!!!!!!! not planned out very well.... live here and enjoy the commons but not during peak season....sad............. a local read more
