Went to DeStazio's Pizza last night. Was VERY happy I went there. The pizza was delicious. The crust was crisp on the outside and airy on the inside and had just the right chew. The sauce was good and they used good quality fresh ingredients. It was $5 off a specialty pizza day which at some places means less ingredients. Not here. They had just the right amount of ingredients. There isn't one thing I would change about this pizza. We have been trying past and present winners of a local competition and found only one other pizza place that would compare. DeStazio's Pizza is worth the drive. Oh and they also sell funnel cake fries. They were good too but the pizza was the highlight. I arrived a little early and had an enjoyable conversation with the owner's ex-wife. I've known members of the DeStazio family since high school back in the 70's. There seems to be a deep imprinting on their DNA for Italian food and that family tradition for food is in every recipe that DeStazio's in Elmore serves to the public. Their building isn't large and their dinning room is by most standards tiny. But, most of their customers are ordering food to either have delivered to their door or are making the journey to pick up their order. It is a small town atmosphere where customers know the staff and vice versa. Stop in. Perfect, hand made and hand tossed crust. Not thin, not thick, 'just right'. The sauce though.... oh my goodness. It is a family recipe and definitely earns respect. Slightly sweet, rich and full-bodied. I order light sauce everywhere else. Here... I am happy we order a few extra sides of this delicious pizza sauce. Toppings are really well done. Quality and quantity balanced with generously layered toppings, but I will admit a cheese pizza from here without any additional toppings will never disappoint, either. When the pizza is this good... it's just great no matter what - hands down. I read on their website there is a pasta night (Tuesday's?) and I will have to try that out sometime but honestly, I might be incapable of skipping the pizza. They don't have what it takes. Service is very slow, food is bland, and it is like eating in a dark cavern.

We stopped by this place on a road trip off the Ohio Turnpike. Pizza has high quality toppings and is hand tossed. Owners take pride in their pizza. Definitely worth the stop. read more

Pizza is pretty much the only thing on the menu here, but it's well worth the drive out to Elmore if you're in the area. Ownership is highly engaged both on social media as well as in person with the customers, and huge kudos for making a go of this very old school kind of business My party had a thin crust pizza, a traditional style pizza, and the sticks, which is basically a pizza covered in a lot of cheese with no red sauce. This is a great small town business the pizza is amazing. They do not deliver to where I live but someone is always more then willing to make the drive. The prices are a little high but I believe this is due to the fresh ingredients. read more

The food always takes a while to get to you but it's worth it. They have always hot tasty pizzas which is what they mainly serve. The tables are clean and sturdy and the staff is nice. Their cheese is definitely unique but very good. Thank you for reading my review! read more

This family owned pizza establishment is amazing. The staff is very courteous and friendly. Wait times are always reasonable and the price is fair for the quality and quantity. The pizza is very good as well. Love the Staz Sticks and haven't had a bad pizza from here yet.(nor do I think you ever could) The pizza sauce is on the sweeter side compared to most but I prefer it that way. Their pizza is great! The only reason I gave them a 4 star is because they dont have much of a delivery area. I'm 7.5 miles from them and they wont deliver to me! Sad! I love the people there and the food! YUMMM! read more

Our favorite pizza in our area, good amount of cheese, toppings, and sauce. The crust is hand tossed and on the thinner side. The sauce is on the sweet side and thus different then most but in the end really good. The Staz sticks are also very good. Highly recommend stop by and see, we believe you will not be disappointed. read more

This is the best pizza in the country. We ordered a ordered a small cheese bread and a medium pizza. The cheese bread was the best and the pizza was very good. I have had all kinds of pizza and this is the best I have ever had, including any pizza from New York, Chicago, or overseas. Prices are right too!!!! A must try pizza restaurant. read more
