This designer men's store is based on "new Brit style" which I imagine includes wearing a well tailored, possibly metallic suit (or Topman for the financially challenged) teamed with v-neck t-shirt, limited edition high tops and some sort of 'man bag.' All of these items and more can be found at Designworks, individually there are some beautiful designs and quality pieces but a combination of all of the above will undoubtedly produce disastrous boy bandesque results.
A store for the new (metro-sexual) man Designworks is, according to a close source run by two "militant Japanese guys." This means that average Joe should never go here without an appropriate chaperon. The staff here are very friendly but be in no doubt that if you don't have your wits about you, you will be bullied into buying something. just because it looks good on a Japanese fashion guru doesn't mean it will look good on you, we all remember the disastrous David Beckham sarong incident.
So if you're feeling brave, venture in, maybe pick up an RH python leather wallet or a Misaharady Millinery feather pork-pie hat to test the waters but whatever happens, at all costs (£490 to be precise) avert your eyes from the ever so Take That Designworks leather shirt; it's just wrong. read more
