Kohl's - Bonney Lake

It's odd to me that Kohls decided to come into Bonney Lake. I don't know if we are really able to…read moresupport this store when they don't carry what folks out here use or wear. I know for our family we're practical & hard working. If my husband needs jeans we're at Walmart or go to Fred Meyer for Carhartt. He doesn't wear stretch skinny jeans. Kohls sells thin graphic tees, last years releases of Nike & Under Armor, suits, dress pants and has saddest shoe department you'll ever see. Mens and women's. Overpriced and the quality is terrible. The big & tall mens section has a hard to find sizes but the prints are ugly. The women's plus size section is half the size of the big & tall. Literally maybe 5 racks. That's it. It's right next to the workout clothes. I guess that's a not so subtle hint. Kohls is banking on bigger women also spending money on pricey workout clothes so we can move to the section of the women's department that actually has a selection to look at. The merchandise is just ok. Nothing to get excited about. The usual women's winter pajamas, cardigans, $9.99 fleece throws in the predictable prints. The home department has nothing to look at. Marshalls has a far better selection and their store is a fraction of the size. I like seeing new and interesting products but this is not the store for that. The staff is friendly. There's a lot of them now I suppose for the holidays. A lot of them. I think I saw 5 in the mens shoe department alone. There's a Sephora in the store that is always empty. Buckley, Orting, Enumclaw, Sumner, Bonney Lake. Do any of these women look like they spend hundreds of dollars on expensive makeup? If they do, will they keep coming back for more so you actually turn a profit? I'm not saying that the store is horrible. It wasn't a good idea but here it is. I give them 1 more year.

I walked in to return 5 small items to the Amazon kiosk. A young man was helping me and had scanned…read moreone of the items. Then a young lady, Felicity, took over. The issue was that I stood there for a solid 2 minutes, no communication, while she fiddled with boxes. I finally said, 'can you finish taking my return?' She replied, 'I have shit to do first.' I said, 'excuse me?' I asked for her Manager. The manager (Heidi) came from the front of the store and was polite at first. Felicity kept saying things under her breath as Heidi continued to take the remaining items as returns. Heidi stated that she couldn't believe Felicity cursed. I had zero reason to make all of this up. There was then a customer behind me. When Heidi finished, I walked towards the front of the store. I stopped just behind some racks so they could not see me and Felicity said 'I don't know why she lied.' To which Heidi stated, 'don't worry about it. People don't need to speak to our associates that way.' First off, Heidi was nowhere near the kiosk when all of it initially took place. Second, I did not even raise my voice. Third, there was another customer there. Fourth, you are the General Manager and are acting this way? No wonder your associate was so out-of-line. She learns it from you and you encourage it to keep happening. The formal complaint is being sent. This was a ridiculous situation.

I took off a star because of the customer service. They staff isn't cold. They are friendly. It's just. They are so skittish. Always looking around. Always finding ways to avoid everyone. I just get this impression it's like "yes I'm here to help....if you can find me!!!" It's just seems so...."please come in, get what you need, and go". It just didn't feel right. Can't really put my finger on it. It's not that I didn't feel welcome. Mild neglect maybe?!?!? Maybe I felt somewhat invisible. It's weird. I'd come back for sure...but just to get what I need.

They really couldn't care less about their customers! It's so bad, my store of choice now is legit Walmart, lol! I remember hating Walmart but not anymore. It's not my favorite and never will be BUT I can and do find all I need there! And, I do like a lot of what they have and very often find products here, that I can't find at other places! Give it a shot! "One stop Shop..."! Unfortunately, that's all I can say! IF you choose to support Target still, even after all they have done publicly (even on the news etc ‍), stay away from the Bonney Lake one, especially! It's sloppy too and you can't get to anything, even some clothes without assistance! It's dumb! But, the main issue, is the 17-year old Security guard who wishes he was more, lol. He thinks he is so cool (yuk) but I think he forgot his role & I don't say this lightly! OR, shop around online! Thanks!

Prices are higher than retail. Used to be a fun place to find great deals but I don't even go there…read morenow. I'm not going to pay triple for something that was donated. In addition, I was in a slow moving line of about five cars with a truckload of items to donate and as soon as I was almost to the front, an employee put a closed sign right in front of my truck. What?? I asked if I was still able to donate because I've been waiting and they said no, we are full. Absolutely ridiculous! Also, I used to shop Sunday mornings when the color tag change took place- I specifically went for the $1.99 color tags. I noticed they would "pull" all those items the night beforehand. I would find maybe 3-5 items in the entire store with that color. I've even witnessed employees pulling them on Sunday mornings and taking them to the back. Don't even bother trying to donate to this place it's USELESS. These employees have to be the LAZIEST people on the planet. Goodwill is also a FOR PROFIT business there is no reason for me to waste my valuable time to donate my very good items there anymore. I'd rather go dump PERFECTLY amazing donations or put them on FB offer up for free. The gal at the donation place actually pushed my sister while she was carrying a donation item and made her drop a very good monitor. My sister and I are absolutely dumbfounded that they would allow employees to physically push people carrying heavy items. Super dangerous should my sister have fallen and been hurt by this employee.

**Store Closing Notice** Actually all Party City locations…read moreare closing and for Tacoma I suppose you could go to the Lakewood location also for your party supply needs but I was most familiar with the Federal Way location. Liked lot of stores when first discovered I purchased more items here which was a long time ago but as time went on the novelty wore off. But they always did have a good variety of Halloween masks at this location. Since this store I imagine isn't going to see another Halloween the best thing to utilize is rake advantage of closing sales. Since the whole company apparently seems to be going under it's a safe bet inventory liquidation sales are going to start happening. And as usual with this kind of phenomenon if you go early when these sales start you will have more variety with some discount as opposed to later where the discount is more noticeable in exchange for less variety.

Oh, how happy to find all the rocket and space party decor for my son's upcoming birthday! I don't live near this store, but my sister's (in law) family lives nearby and shop here for their party goods and special occasion needs!! I ordered online and picked up in-store a few days later. (They give you 7 days or more with a simple call to the store). When you arrive, you can call them for curbside pickup and they will bring your order out to your car! We went inside to see if they had a piñata (last minute idea) for the party. Ken, the manager was so friendly. Greeting customers and genuinely happy to help. I didn't have to wait long at all. He called an employee to open a register and take the next guest to make the line go quicker. He was awesome, quick, friendly, and just what we needed to make sure we had all we needed for a great party. My nephew was with us and the cashier was super sweet. Gave him a balloon, filled it with air, and just made him SO happy! It was the best customer service and experience (getting everything we needed)!! Will definitely return and recommend this store for your themed party needs!!
