When it did finally come to planning a wedding, I worked with UFS owner, Dani, directly. My groom and I met with her for an in-person consultation early in the process, giving her guidelines of our vision and color scheme. With the exception of wanting wisteria, I kept flowers to whatever was in season. Following our consultation, she was readily available by email and worked with us to make our vision come to life. She even visited the venue with us and worked directly with them, since we needed special accommodation for hanging floral chandeliers. The results were stunning! They confirmed that my date was available and told me to send them all of my details and inspiration. I emailed them twice with no response. Sad that Country Lane did not live up to their reputation. They were recommended to me by my first florist, who was unfortunately struck by a heart condition two months before my wedding date and could no longer keep the gig. Simply arrangements, to modern, to impressive - "make it so big she can't see her monitors" - they don't disappoint. The roses last a long time with proper tending. Lily's Garden is in a brightly painted shop on Detroit Street, right next to Zingerman's deli. tiny place, but you would only visit for pickups. I have been there twice. Today was to ask for a vase box to get my latest arrangement home in my car. In and out, no problem. Highly recommended.

I cannot believe the crass and rudeness of the girl who just answered the phone. When someone is sending flowers to an ill loved one at the hospital I don't expect sympathy or even any sort of emotional support. However I do not expect to be given such a hard time to order flowers. I called the hospital they confirmed they accept deliveries from this very florist DAILY. She insisted they only take flowers on certain days = WRONG. And also insisted the flowers on Lily's web page did not come in a green vase, what I was seeing was green stems in a clear vase = WRONG (see picture). I hope I never have to send flowers to the hospital again, but if I do I will not be through Lily's.

We first tried 1800flowers and two days later, no flowers were delivered and they were awful to work with and we canceled. I went with a local florist instead and found J Alexander online with great reviews. They were able to deliver the sympathy flowers same day (even though we placed slightly after their cut off, thank you!). We are based all the way in Maryland so I was worried about using a florist we didn't know well, but I am thoroughly impressed with how prompt their service was. Wonderful business.
