I ended up not going with tile here as the dye lots were all different and it made me very nervous. I did, however, buy their line of LVP, NuCore in Gunstock oak and I cannot wait for my contractor to put it in my laundry floor and eventually my basement. Seems to have a strong living system and is so beautiful. My warning if you are to get tile is to inspect all before you bring home. Just seeing the variance of the shades in the dye lots scared me enough to not move forward with the tile. LVP isn't so bad as wood naturally has different shades and it's meant to look that way. 4 stars for excellent customer service and clean store. Also, I am excited to use my LVP Pro tip: go on their website and use their AI tool before going to the store. We did that the second time around and it wasn't as overwhelming. The prices here are really excellent compared to other tile places but I think due to the dye lot differences. LVP seemed like a great value

I've been "helped" five times, only one young heavy set gentleman was HELPFUL. Every other person was dismissive or otherwise occupied. One tall gentleman came to the cashier to "help" me, he took me to an isle, handed me a product, from my list, then said I'll be right back. When I went looking for him he was on a computer working with other people, rude! He tried to get a muscular man to "help"! This employee took rude to eleven! He was bothered be the request for him to work, the hour I was there he was standing next to the cashier (only person working!) and on his phone! Why does that man have a job, so he can stand around, bother the cashier and never get off his phone! Great job, if you can get it! He walked over like I'm forcing him to work! HE DID NOT GET OFF HIS PHONE THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS FORCED TO ASSIST ME! In my visits to this beautiful, well equipped and huge selections with the worst employees, except for the tiny cashier and the large heavy gentleman, everyone else that I have encountered in this store should be on unemployment where the can get paid for doing nothing. Only contractors that don't need help could be happy shopping at Floor and Decor! Average person may do better to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and get ignored there! No wonder online shopping is growing in leaps and bounds, people are too good to work! A country full of lazy entitled people who want everything FREE and nobody should have to work.

I contracted with Nick at KO floors to install Red Oak hardwood but he installed White Oak instead…read more He did this without my consent. Red Oak was clearly in my contract and Nick knew the rest of the house was Red Oak. Now it does not match the rest of my Red Oak floors. When I asked him what happened he lied and told me it was a mistake by his distributor however I was informed by one of his employees that Nick used the White Oak wood cause he had it in stock and saved money. Not a nice thing to do to your customer who spent close to 20k with his company. So I would not recommend KO Flooring or Nick to anyone.

I chose KO flooring after seeing samples of their work, responsiveness to my inquiry (Nick answered my message immediately and made himself available to come to my home asap), family run business, and their willingness to accommodate my needs as a pregnant mother with a toddler. Nick and his father are both lovely people and practice what they preach when it comes to the "old school" mentality of delivering quality work and ensuring client satisfaction. There was one thing I was unhappy with upon delivery of service and he sent a worker back to fix it. This act speaks volumes, not only to his character, but his dedication to ensuring a happy client for years to come. Being a part time designer I've had dealings with plenty of craftsman and can assure you this was an excellent experience. If I had to do it again, I'd hire KO Flooring.

UPDATED REVIEW: Romel, Fabian and Cristian arrived at 7:30…read moreAM on the morning of the install. They remained on the job, only taking a brief break for lunch, until 5:00 PM when then left for the day, having to return the following Monday to completed a small portion of one of the bedrooms because they ran out of wood laminate planking (through NO fault of their own).. In the 9 1/2 hours that they were at the house, they completed a hallway, a kitchen a dining room and tow bedrooms. Their work and craftmanship was exceptional . They were most clean throughout the day while working and cleaned the entire work area of any debris once completed. Romel , Fabian and Cristian did a most wonderful job and should be highly commended. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We were looking to have wood laminate flooring installed in a new house being purchased. In order to accommodate the schedules of at least 4 individuals who had to be present, scheduling a meeting with an Empire.....after meeting with a competitor's salesman who gave the impression of being nothing short of a "con man", we were very luck and most fortunate that the Empire Flooring consultant that met with us was Nick Giberti....he arrived on time , was most courteous throughout the sales process and did not resort to a single pressure tactic nor did he engage in any stereotypical sales tactics that are synonymous with many con man sales people....after measuring and explaining the entire process in a truthful and credible fashion he proceeded to measure each room and provide a most competitive price once he assisted us in choosing the flooring product we agreed to have installed.....Nick was a genuine gentlemen who should be highly commended and who is the best representative Empire could ever hope for..... this review will be supplemented once the work is completed and the floor installed... I chose to post this review at this time only because Nick impressed me so very much in that he is by far NOT your typical "con man" salesman that are so prevalent out in the business world.....if you need flooring, ask for Nick Giberti at Empire Today......you are in good/ competent and honest hands...........

The two installers were great. Everyone else was an embarrassment…read more Let me start with the only positive: the two young guys who actually installed the carpet worked hard, efficiently, and did a fantastic job. They showed up, got it done, and were genuinely excellent. This review is not about them. Everyone else at Empire Today? An absolute disaster from start to finish. Strike 1 -- The sales rep. He called and asked if he could come early for the in-home consultation. I said no -- I was on a work Zoom call. He showed up 15 minutes early anyway. You called. I said no. You came anyway. That's the level of respect Empire Today has for your time right out of the gate. Strike 2 -- Installation day (Saturday). Per their own policy, they're supposed to call the morning of with a time window. No call. I called their call center around 9:30 AM, who called the installer -- voicemail. Called the dispatcher -- voicemail. "Someone will get back to you in an hour." Two to three hours later, still nothing. Finally a manager calls with the explanation: "unforeseen circumstances." No. That's not what happened. I was a contractor. I understand actual unforeseen circumstances -- a guy gets hurt, a truck breaks down, a job hits a hidden problem. I get it. Things happen. But that's not what this was. You overbooked your crew on a job that was too big for the time window, and my Saturday paid the price for your scheduling failure. Own it. I asked them to send another crew -- "we don't have one available." I asked for a discount -- "we can't do that." Meanwhile, if I had been unavailable, I'd have been hit with a 25% cancellation fee. But Empire Today can blow up your whole day with zero accountability. They offered to reschedule to Easter Sunday. I said absolutely not -- I'm spending Easter with my family, and frankly, your installers should be spending it with theirs too. The fact that Empire Today would even suggest that tells you everything about how they value people -- customers and employees. Strike 3 -- The reschedule (Tuesday). I took a full day off work. Again, no 8 AM call with a time window -- their own policy, ignored again. Same dispatcher runaround. Same non-answers. The installers finally showed up at 5:45 PM. The grand finale. After all of it -- two days blown, hours on the phone, a Saturday and a full vacation day gone -- the manager agreed to credit my card $50 as compensation. That $50 has never shown up (ts been almost a month). To summarize: I paid in full, blew two days, spent hours chasing people who wouldn't pick up their phones, got stood up on a Saturday, was offered Easter Sunday as a make-good, fought to get someone through my door before dark on a Tuesday, and was promised a $50 credit that never materialized. The carpet looks great. The two installers deserve a raise and an apology for being sent in at 5:45 PM. Empire Today as an organization deserves worse than one star -- but Google won't let me go lower.
