Design Showcase was a godsend when we remodeled our bathroom: it was wonderful to find quality tiles, cabinets, counter tops, fixtures and accessories all in one place. The profession, knowledgeable staff offered design suggestions and observations without ever overriding or criticizing my personal design preferences. We are extremely happy with our kitchen remodel and the cabinets we purchased from Design Showcase. Cathy and Mary were very helpful and checked our kitchen measurements twice. When the initial cabinet price quote was higher than our budget, Cathy suggested ways we could reduce it by making some acceptable changes that met our budget. She followed up with shipping status and came to the house when the contractor was ready to begin installation to review the cabinets and answer questions. The best design showcase in the area! If you want great materials and design selections, excellent and warm personal service, honest people and creative design input you have to go to Design Showcase in Napa. Peer and Cathy are as good as it gets when it comes to personal service. There is no comparison to the larger home and design companies out there and once you have had the opportunity to work with Peer and Cathy you will never want to go back to other companies wherein materials are questionable and limited and customer service is sorely lacking. I have enjoyed immensely working with both of them as they are a great design complements to each other. I have used Design Showcase on a couple projects and have had nothing but the best of the best in all areas. My only complaint is that I wish I had the money to design an infinite amount of spaces so that I could work with them more. Design Showcase is great for Contractors, homeowners or anyone interested in renovating or constructing a beautiful space or home. I couldn't have been happier with my experience at Design Showcase. Their showroom is large, organized, and offers a wide selection of high quality tile. I was attended to by Peer and was impressed by both his customer service and his design sense. He thoroughly answered all of my questions about both the tile brands and tile layout. I was in the uncomfortable situation of having to make a hurried decision about bathroom flooring tile, and Peer was extremely helpful in narrowing down my choices. In addition, Design Showcase was able to obtain my order within the same week of my purchase. I am a very selective customer when it comes to aesthetics, and I left Design Showcase excited about my purchase and completely satisfied with my experience. After spending about 15 mins. opening and closing cabinets and drawers and being acknowledged by the two ladies that were working there, I walked out. Both seemed way to busy to even entertain the idea that I might have an actual job I'd like a bid on. We have completed one project with Design Showcase and are in the process of starting another. We have had very positive experiences with each visit. The staff is always helpful and attentive. Our designer, Engthia, has THE BEST ideas and she knows how to execute. We have worked with designers before who want to give you the bathroom that everyone else already has, and by comparison, Engthia came to the table with her own ideas that reflected timeless design, but also took into consideration our personal style esthetic, functionality, and the architecture of the home. The other thing that I appreciate is that she wasn't afraid to disagree with us and provide her opinion and her rational for why she thought something else might work out better. I have driven all over the Bay Area to look for the best selection and prices for my home projects and I keep coming back to Design Showcase. They have the best and most unique tiles and stone; the best lighting, and room to spread out your selections to see how they all fit together. I have always been greeted with a smile and have never felt any pressure - even after asking lots and lots of questions! So far, my husband and I have completed 3 projects - 2 bathrooms and an entryway - and we are getting ready to tackle remodeling the kitchen. Please find a better place. Yes, they have quality stuff. No. You will never have any idea until the end how much you are paying for anything. We ordered 3 different tiles: 2 for the wall and a third for the floor. Every single tile we did not have enough. Their only excuse was that we changed our design, but we did not change our design before the final order was placed. They made error after error and just shrugged it all off. She forgot to place the order for my vanity 3 different times. I had to keep going back in there and picking it out again. Then it took months for it to come in. When I asked about it, the reply I got was "oh, I was supposed to check on that wasn't I?" And then, when she did check on it I was told that it arrived damaged and was sent back. Really? Because the vanity we finally received wasn't even opened, so did they only check on the first one? We have 13 tiles cracked so on top of the order being short several tiles, we needed 13 extra for the broken ones. My husband had to drive to the factory to pick up the tiles himself so we could just finish he bathroom before our company arrived. And do you know what we got for all of our trouble? Not a single discount or apology. I was told it was all my fault since I changed my mind. I am telling you, if they can't handle a design change, this is not a good store. She was obviously incapable of doing the math to order the tiles. She actually told me at one point that because of our design change we would have too much of one tile and instead of letting it go to waste, she drew up a new plan with the tile. Well, it was beautiful so we went with it. Guess what? She didn't have enough tile to complete her own design and we had to pay expedited delivery charges to get the tile we needed so our family could shower in that bathroom! Please. Do yourself a favor. Other stores have nice stuff. They make mistakes and offer nothing in return except for getting you more tile at YOUR expense and letting you know that the new tile will likely not match.
