My husband and I are new to FL and bought a house in Lutz late last year. We now need help with some major design and installation for both our front and back yards which are quite large. I called this company on 04.19.22 and Robert Draper answered the call quickly. He was friendly, engaged and helpful and seemed genuinely willing to assist us. He set up a day to come by, 04.21.22, and said he'd call or text when he was on his way that day. He also said he was in Lutz, too, and not far from us. Yay! Thursday came around and I decided to touch base as I'd not heard from him yet and it was almost 2:30. I got his voicemail and left a message to ensure we were still on his radar but got no call back. He ended up being a no-show which caused me to waste my whole day as I stayed close to home to await his visit. We decided to give him another chance so we waited through the weekend (still no call back) and I reached out to him again on Monday, 04.25.22, and he answered the phone, obviously from his car given the background noise. I reintroduced myself and told him we'd spoken a week ago and had a tentative appt set up but he didn't show. I told him I'd left him a vm on the day he was supposed to have come by and he said I shouldn't have been able to leave one as his box is full. (??) I told him I had regardless, and that he didn't call back. He then said "What is it that you wanted?" which took me by surprise as he was really short with me and it's apparent what we wanted. He's a landscape designer, is he not? I said "Wow, you sound like you're really busy!" to which he replied "You know, I am really busy. Let's leave it at that." And then he hung up on me. Wow. Just wow. His website looks lovely and I'm sure he must do good work (?) but I think we dodged a bullet with this guy and his company. We had plenty of good money to spend but we'll gladly take our business elsewhere now. Please work on your bedside manner, Mr. Draper, as your current one leaves a lot to be desired. Rudeness to potential clients and wasting their time is totally uncalled for when you could have handled this situation with a simple apology and moved on from there. read more
