Not only did I get Lucky when I found this supermarket, but let's be honest: I hit the friggin'…read morejackpot! Carrying Vietnamese, Thai, Phillipino, and Caribbean ingredients alike, this place is a one stop shop. Boasting a produce area, a fish market, a meat market and an impressive number of overly stocked shelves, Lucky Supermarket is a dream come true. Whether you're looking for fish sauces, Caribbean condiments, Vietnamese pickles, bean curd, cuts of meat or herbal medications, there is nothing this store doesn't carry. And can we just talk about the freshness of their products?!?!? Their stock is so fresh it's still swimming - seriously. With live tanks filled with swimming lobsters, clams, crabs, snails, oysters and fish, and cuts of meat so fresh you're suprised they aren't walking off their beds of ice, Lucky Supermarket is a must-see for any Asian food lover. If you've never been, it's time you got Lucky don't you think?

The parking is really good and we can always find the same stuff and more than T&T without a parking issue. |The only thing is that when they are out of something like canned or dry goods, they are out of it for months. I guess this is because most item come from asia. \It is a long ways from my house but I usually go here at least every 2 weeks. It's worth the drive.

Well I've been looking for something as simple as Potato Flakes for camp use. I found there here…read moreat this market, it too bad they are lying thieving scum ..... Went on line and found it on their site ...... (see pic) Here they are a 10 Kg. bag and that is priced at $20.00. Right there I blew it, I should have called first asked then if they have it in stock and what the price is .....the site said $20 bucks right?! MY mistake was thinking that she'd be honest with me but nope, she played me good inflated the price to $65 NOT even $40 and she she didn't have any and then by some miracle she founds some at the last minute in the back for $65. Here's the picture of the receipt as well. So in this day and age she either racist against white Canadians or they're thieves and the website is run as bait and switch........ Cheers' Dave

****BEWARE OF SCAMMERS****…read more I went to the location to purchase a new Andis T professional beard and hair trimmer. Originally the location had 2 in stock when i went in to purchase the razor and i chose the first box on display. After leaving with my purchase, I hadn't considered opening the box to check the product until i reached my next destination and thats when i realized the razor was used, rusted and broken. I returned to the location right away to ask for an exchange as the product i purchased was damaged and clearly well used. Instead of agreeing to an exchange, the employee refused and stated that i should have opened the box before leaving the store and that she actually believed i had taken the "newly" purchased razor and replaced it with my own used and broken razor... in that case, why would i have asked for an exchange. When she refused to exchange the damaged product, i then asked for a refund which she then told me she was not authorized to give and that i would need to speak with the owner who was conveniently not at the location and could not be reached at that time. This is an ongoing scam in Africa and after speaking with the owner the next day, she told me that she needed a week to investigate what may have happened. These locations provide African food and products and ive seen these razors sitting on the shelf collecting dust, i chose to purchase the pruduct so i could support a black owned small business when i could have easily purchased the razor from Amazon. I left the damaged and used razor with them and gave up on getting any money returned to me, i really just want others to be weary and aware that it may happen to them as well.

I guess they're mostly 'fakirs', hyuk! I am not Polish so I cannot spell or pronounce things, but I think the owner/maker is called Miertek. Anyway you slice it, this is the guy to come to if you want locally produce cured/smoked meats and sausages. His fatty hungarian is the winter bomb, and the roasted bacon (that's right, ROASTED BACON) is a gift from the gods of meat preparation. I suggest that you peruse and randomly choose what looks appealing your first time. There is sooo much, you WILL be back. This guy is the sausage man for Calgary. Regarding his cuts of meat, I have only done his pork tenderloin -- it was exactly what I wanted. They also offer lots of other Polish things. Their fresh sauerkraut and pickles are better than almost anywhere else (Jan's gives him a run though), his smoked mackerel is as good as Jan's, and his scratch perogie selection is a cut above -- avoid the sauerkraut ones, they don't freeze as well as the others (sauerkraut perogies are best fresh). Lots of canned goods, spices, sweets, preserves et cetera. Just remember -- this is THE sausage guy. Closed Mondays, go to Bon-Ton then. Only then. Or wait for Miertek to open tuesday...
