This is a must since we wanted to capture how gorgeous Maui is. Jesse was our videographer. He showed up early and stayed late. Even though we only booked him for three hours, he stayed a little later to capture our sunset photos. We received our video clip in less than 8 weeks and couldn't be more pleased. They are very easy to get along with, and they worked well with all the adults and my five year old. My son loved them instantly, and despite waking up grouchy from a nap on the car ride to the beach, he almost instantly turned into a ham for Lucky. He had a lot of questions too, and Lucy and Lucky were very good with answering all of them. I chose Mokapu Beach for our session, and I loved it. The fallen tree, rocks with vibrant green algae, palm trees, the beautiful sand and waves all offered a great (and a wide variety) of backdrops. It was easy to find parking in the lot Lucy and Lucky direct us to, and there were not a lot of people on the beach. Lucy and Lucky offer you great photographs and a great price. Their 48 hour turn around time is great as well. If we decide to get photographs taken again next time we are on Maui, I won't hesitate to book with Blue Maui Photographers again. After inquiring with several photographers, I decided to go with them because I loved the way they used light to capture the beauty of the people and beautiful scenery. Wow, am I glad I chose them. From the start, they were amazing to work with. I was not sure what location(s) I wanted to take photos at and Bri provided several options and sample photos that they took at each location so that I could make an informed decision about where I wanted to take the pictures. They also use an online portal to make the engagement process super quick and easy. When the day of the photoshoot arrived, Bri and Josh made the photoshoot so fun and relaxed! They were so down to earth and easy to talk to, and suggested poses for me and my husband so that we did not have to awkwardly stand there wondering what to do haha! It was such a fun experience and I loved every second of it. Now, the best part -- Bri sent over some sneak peek pictures and I am obsessed with how beautiful they turned out. I tried to book WPP for my vacation dates and even though I had a contract and had reserved the…read moredate by putting a deposit down, WPP tried to ask me to reschedule. I refused and that's when they revealed that they had double booked with a wedding. They told me either I had to change the date or they would refund me. They made it out to seem as if it was an accident but it was a Saturday night and to me, someone probably asked to book them after I had already had a contract and they decided to put the wedding first because it brings in more profit. To me, that's pretty bad business etiquette. Why bother making clients pay a deposit to reserve the date if you're going to cancel on me when something better comes along? I told them I was pretty disappointed but they didn't offer any additional solutions. In all fairness, they were nice to talk to, their portfolio looks great, and their prices are decent but even though I did have other dates available, I no longer trusted them and did not want to work with them anymore. But now it's late and I haven't found another photographer so we're no longer doing photos in Hawaii which I do blame them for. Hence the one star review.

There were 13 (10 adults, 1 teen and 2 kids under 5) of us for the photo session and we got excellent images of different group shots during sunset. My family members were telling me how nice Luanna and Karl are and they had a lot of fun working with them. My little kids were even fussy and Luanna had a way to keep them entertained and get great shots. We got the pictures back within a few days and we are satisfied. I recommend Karl and Luanna always for their services. They are great personable people.
