This evening I was trying to pause my membership and due to Covid and Covid safety I was not able to come in-store but unfortunately my account was made at another store so she couldn't help me. So long story short I was very rudely treated over the phone and refused to be given help, then given the wrong customer service number by another desert sun location. So I called her back and explained what happened and she was so apologetic and went out of her way calling the store on her own and fixed everything for me!! I bumped up my time by one (1) minute-from eight minutes to nine-at the Meridian location and got burnt to a crisp. Curious to know why this happened, I asked the associate at the Spanaway store tonight how often they change their bulbs. Her response was "when they burn out." I asked which bed has the newest bulbs and she said it would be 7 or 8. I asked when they were changed and she said, "I'm not sure. It was before I started which was in April or May." Just an FYI, bulbs should be replaced every 600-800 hours. To not change bulbs until they burn out? The bulbs won't begin to burn out until 10,000 (!!!!) hours but they quit producing significant UV rays after 1,000. I'm really bummed about this because it's my "main" store and is only about two minutes from my house. Spanaway DS, I know you're franchised but shame on you! read more

Thinking about cancelling my membership and I only signed up a month ago!!! The customer services at this location is absolutely ridiculous! I am never greeted when I walk into the door, never told, "one moment please" or "I'll be right with you" when they are busy or anything. On multiple occasions I will walk in the door to see three girls talking to one customer while there are two computers. How about while one is talking to a customer, another girl uses the other computer to check in the next guest? And then have the nerve to up-sale me? Simply.. wow! I signed up at this one because it's so close to where I am currently staying but due to the lack of customer service/warmth/smiles/anything .. I will either find another location and pray it's a one-off or just cancel my membership. read more

If I could give this establishment 0 stars, I would. I signed up for a membership on 6/22/2014. Mind you, I haven't used a tanning bed in years. The gal talked me into buying a Gold Membership. I explained to her several times that I used to start at 4 to 5 minutes. She said I could go 10 minutes as it was a better bed. As a result, I was burnt the worst I have ever been in my life. I couldn't sleep, had to miss work the next day and go see a doctor. I am on prescription pain killers and a topical gel pain killer because it hurts to even sit. Went back into the location, twice now, and was told a manager would contact me and I am still waiting.......four days later! STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! They need to better educate their employees. read more

Theft by deception!!! I signed up for a package with Sabrina after explaining my time is limited to utilize any packages, she outlined what was in the package and explained by purchasing this package I would receive X amount of upgrades and "perks" for three months! Today when I went into tan and utilize these upgrades I was told it was 30 days... I then was sold an additional 3 spray package from Hailey as I no longer had the upgrades... There were NO clean towels available in the room and I was told it was a privilege for her to hand me a towel as they're washing machine was broke! After going through my notes from my initial sign up I requested a refund for the three spray package and a call from the manager! Hailey refused to refund and I was told the manager would not speak with me that although they are a franchise someone from corporate would call me Monday! THEFT BY DECEPTION!!! Fraudulent sales staff!!! Still no word from corporate... I had followed up with the manager and once again requested a refund! Was told it would be done and yet NO REFUND HAS BEEN DONE!!!! I would say it's one of the friendliest group of girls I've experienced at a DS before. I leave one star open for improvement cuz sometimes a few of the girls don't do the best of jobs cleaning the beds in between. No need for details just the need to make sure it's the cleanest on the area ur feet touch. Other then that I would say my favorite DS I've gone to. It's all due to the customer service which kept them from having a three star rating. read more

Wife & I had been to several other Salons but have now found a Home ! -the Team @ Spanaway store are so enthusiastic , always remember your name even after a seasonal break-& when it's time to bronze up for Vacation, Chelsea will certainly get you there in a safe timely manner. But have know doubt all the girls take care of us- from Hot Beds to Great lotions, we really like the stand up options & rarely have ever had to wait? who else can make that claim- definitely a 10 star salon :) read more

Like the staff. Just don't like there return policy. They double ordered and charged me for something and was not refunded the money. I can understand if it was like 10 bucks I'm OK with that but a double bill for 60 dollar lotion that's kinda bs. If I could give a zero I would. They are good as long as they are getting your money. I tried to cancel this month and was assured before I signed the cancellation papers that I would NOT be charged for the month of July. Not only was I charged only days after I cancelled but it caused my account to go negative which added another 30+ charge. When I called to ask what happened I was told "only corporate could get me my money back". Well if your employee did their job the right way it never would have been taken in the first place!!! Not to mention that the employee was rude and unhelpful on the phone. When I asked for he managers name I was given the manager who is on maternity leave... how is that going to help! When I asked for the acting manager she was reluctant to say the least.. maybe she was just surprised that I'm not an idiot and I know how management works.. I wouldn't have been so upset if I just wasn't lied to about being charged!! I will not be returning this this location if I ever return to the company. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced! 3 different girls at 3 different times all were very rude, unprofessional and one wouldn't make eye contact because she was to busy on her phone.
