We came in on Tuesday 3-10-26 asking questions about back hand spring class that is offered, and we talked to Karen and she gave us 3 days to choose from and we told her we could only do Wednesday at 7-8pm cause her school cheer takes up other to days with same time. at this time she said great and our daughter (Bella) would need to take the intro class first on Wednesday 3-11-26 from 6-7pm. We said ok see you tomorrow and we showed up and did class and was told yes Bella is ok to join backhand spring class. We go up to desk to sign up and Karen at this point told us the Wednesday class is full and never opens up as its for the Vegas stars team, so we got upset and left, but my question is if the Wednesday class at 7-8pm is only for the Vegas Star team then why offer it and why did Karen waste our time when she knew that was the only class we could be in and still have us do the intro class and waste everyone's time. My Daughter (Bella) did the intro with Cheezie and my Daughter said Cheezie was awesome and really wants to go here and so that is why it is ever worse that Karen did this and had us start something she knew was not possible cause Wednesday night are of the table. This gym is fine for kids who are just starting out in cheer and want basic exposure to the sport…read more My daughter learned fundamentals and met some great teammates and families along the way. We have been part of this gym since season 1, including when it operated under a different name, so we've seen the program over multiple years. Unfortunately, many of the same issues continued season after season without much improvement. Communication was often last minute, unclear, or not communicated at all, which became frustrating as a parent. We also felt there was little transparency when it came to fees and extra costs, especially when some charges seemed excessive and was unexplained by owners. We also noticed high turnover of coaches and the constant changes made it hard to build consistency and trust. Athlete turnover also seemed very high along with inconsistent commitment from some athletes and families which created a cycle where teams were constantly rebuilding and many athletes stayed on lower level teams instead of having steady opportunities to progress. Because of the athlete turnover rate there weren't opportunities for athletes who wanted to move into higher level cheer teams. The owners often talk about how much they care about the kids, but unfortunately our experience didn't reflect that in practice. Ultimately, we decided this gym isn't the right fit for long term growth in the sport.

Some of these cheer families had been competing since their kids were in kindergarten! However, the coaches, the athletes and parents made us feel right at home from day one. The coaches are remarkable at getting the kids to really function as a team. In a sport where it is unfortunately too common for girls to get unhealthily competitive with one another, these kids were always encouraging one another and lifting each other up (no pun intended). Ha Between Chexis pushing them, Adrian's expertise and "Tyson's Ted Talks," this team learned to operate as one which ultimately won them Summit! What an incredible first experience this was! While it is expensive(from what I understand, competitive cheer is costly no matter what) it was worth every penny. Making kids the absolute best version of themselves is priceless!

My only feedback would be to change the shoe policy in the gym. Children are required to take shoes and socks off (which is good because the gym is all carpet), but the coaches can wear their everyday dirty tennis shoes that they wear outside on the same floor. To me that's disgusting, and I hope that my child does not get an infection on his feet. Coaches and anyone who enters the gym should be required to take off their shoes and wear socks. Otherwise, we love it here!
