Coaches are fantastic! You'll definitely see the progress you want from proper discipline and technique. There are different levels for each team if your child decides to compete traveling or non traveling. They even have a new program called cheerabilities, Team Steel. How wonderful is that. This gym is fine for kids who are just starting out in cheer and want basic exposure to the sport…read more My daughter learned fundamentals and met some great teammates and families along the way. We have been part of this gym since season 1, including when it operated under a different name, so we've seen the program over multiple years. Unfortunately, many of the same issues continued season after season without much improvement. Communication was often last minute, unclear, or not communicated at all, which became frustrating as a parent. We also felt there was little transparency when it came to fees and extra costs, especially when some charges seemed excessive and was unexplained by owners. We also noticed high turnover of coaches and the constant changes made it hard to build consistency and trust. Athlete turnover also seemed very high along with inconsistent commitment from some athletes and families which created a cycle where teams were constantly rebuilding and many athletes stayed on lower level teams instead of having steady opportunities to progress. Because of the athlete turnover rate there weren't opportunities for athletes who wanted to move into higher level cheer teams. The owners often talk about how much they care about the kids, but unfortunately our experience didn't reflect that in practice. Ultimately, we decided this gym isn't the right fit for long term growth in the sport.

My only feedback would be to change the shoe policy in the gym. Children are required to take shoes and socks off (which is good because the gym is all carpet), but the coaches can wear their everyday dirty tennis shoes that they wear outside on the same floor. To me that's disgusting, and I hope that my child does not get an infection on his feet. Coaches and anyone who enters the gym should be required to take off their shoes and wear socks. Otherwise, we love it here!

My daughter was only 2 years old and still wearing diapers. I was afraid my daughter would cling to my leg and cry. The staff is so welcoming and caring. They really push you to be a better gymnast! I have been in rec classes for a while, so I can speak from experience. The coaches are usually pretty young, but I've found that we can relate more. I decided to try out for team. The tryouts were very forgiving I've found. They don't expect as much if you as the team girls since you don't have much especially from rec. I thankfully made team. They were super fast with the response as I received it that night. My team experience so far has been great. I am currently in Xcel silver and the coaches are great. I could not ask for a better experience! I don't know what all the fuss is about the coaches being rude! They care and want you to be better! Everybody could use some tough love! I look forward to continue to train and compete at browns!
