The instructors were friendly, patient, and welcoming. They did a great job working with the kids and made the whole experience enjoyable. My kids had a great time, and I really appreciated the structure of the class and the positive values they emphasized throughout. Unfortunately, the tuition is more than our family can justify right now, and this location is a bit farther from home than we'd prefer. We do have another Victory Martial Arts location much closer to us, but this was the location our homeschool group partnered with for the trial class. Overall, we had a really positive experience and would definitely recommend checking them out if the location and pricing work for your family.

They always take the time to talk through any concerns and make sure we're all on the same page both at home and at school. The engagement they have with both the families and the students is beyond words. My son has learned and grown so much at Kiddie Academy. He's in 7th now and testing at red/black belt, so we're going on three years, but I'll never forget that first board break. I signed him up for two reasons. I wanted him active, and I liked that Victory teaches seven life skills alongside the martial arts. While the kicks and punches are great it's those life skills that have made a difference. He's more disciplined at home, he's more respectful, and he takes better care of himself than he used to. I also love how the trainers(?), especially Mr. Hudak and Master Hopkins, encourage him on the days he's sure he can't do something. They don't lower the bar, and they don't let him off the hook either. They keep telling him he can until he believes it. I saw this at his recent red/black mid-term. He was nervous, he made a mistake partway through, and he kept going anyway. Three years ago he would have shut down. Now he knows mistakes are part of life. They love rhe parents, too. They want you in the room, and they give you real ways to motivate and celebrate your kid. I've also made some good friends with the other parents as we all cheer for each other's kids. It's a great community of people to be around. If you're considering martial arts for your kid, take the trial class or just come by and watch a class.

The only downside I've noticed is the turn over rate of staff in all positions. They are great with calling and communicating if your child gets hurt, even the most minor scrapes and bumps. In the beginning they were not this good so I appreciate them stepping up! They recently started a program where you can access your child's classroom camera which I think is super cool! I see how much my daughter enjoys her time there and how much she loves multiple teachers and staff and that makes it so much easier to drop my baby off. My son started around 2.5 years old and is now 4.5 years old. This school has been such a positive influence on his learning and development. We've had Miss Carla as the director for these 2 years and she's so caring and nurturing and you can really tell what a positive influence she has on both the school staff and the children. The staff helped potty train my son all the way to writing his name, reading, doing math, and they put extra effort into meeting his needs and ensuring he has the support he needs. The staff ALWAYS report any incidents no matter how small, and I have never felt like there's been an issue that I didn't know about. And any time we did run into issues (which were not often), his teachers and Miss Carla always prioritized an effective resolution in a timely manner. I have ALWAYS felt like my son is safe and in caring hands at this school. They have an app that I use to communicate with the teachers, they always keep me updated on my sons activities, nutrition, etc. My husband has been deployed multiple times which has been hard on my son, but the staff here always have been empathetic and understanding and supportive of my son during those hard times. Miss Carla treats all the children with unconditional love, and I'm very thankful for the positive influence she's had on our lives. She set the bar so high, I know when we move it's going to be really hard to find another school that will meet our expectations thanks to the high standard that she's set. My son LOVES school, he absolutely loves all of his teachers and all of the activities they provide for them. I HIGHLY recommend this school.

Our daughter has been home with us always, but with her little brother getting bigger I felt I wasn't able to give her the attention she deserved when trying to learn concepts so we started looking for preschools. We went in the tour and felt amazed. The facility it wonderful, the woman who provided the tour was so kind and had great energy. They assured us that there is a curriculum that they follow and that is why they don't do half days, because they don't want kids missing out of the curriculum that occurs before and after naptime. Great. Or so we thought. After 2 weeks I started having a gut feeling, they're not actually learning anything, this is a daycare with moments of semi-structured activities. I would like to state that if you ARE looking for a daycare, I feel this option is fine and probably better than other options. However, we did not need childcare and were not looking for a daycare, we were strictly looking for a PRESCHOOL. I asked about curriculum and schedule and they couldn't tell me much, this was interesting because during the tour they explained that they rotate classrooms and subjects every 30 minutes etc. Hmm. So I started picking my daughter up at different times to see if they were doing any type of activity.... nope. Every time I came, no matter what time, they kids were running around feral. Okay so right about then is when my gut feeling was confirmed and I started to feel taken advantage of. We expressed during our tour that this is a big decision as we've never left our daughter before, hardly even with babysitters even. So I immediately reviewed the contract and found we have to give 30 day notice, not a big deal except we were lied to about the nature of the program, so I put in the request to unenroll and was immediately called by the director. She seemed like this information was a shock. She said this was news to her and that their teachers are supposed to be following a structured curriculum, and she'd be following up with the teacher to resolve the issue. I felt slightly reassured until I started digging. I made a post asking other parents in the area their experience at Creme. Turns out, my experience was quite common. AND multiple teachers have been hired then quit shortly after under the same circumstances. The director basically lying, was just added insult to injury. So I followed up with the director, I requested she wave the 30 day notice due to the school misleading us on the nature of the services that would be provided. She said she was unable to do so. So basically they only care about getting their money from you. They are not a preschool. And the director is fake. I would never recommend this facility as a preschool. As a daycare, sure they're probably fine but that's not what we enrolled for and that's not what we were told the program was. Do not get blinded by the beautiful facility. Quite actually go anywhere but here for a preschool. If I could give them zero stars I would.

My wife and I were really worried she might react the same way here -- but guess what, she's doing so much better at Merryhill! This school truly has empathy and warmth. Ms Gram and Ms Niemand are not just teachers -- they give real mothership. They make my daughter feel secure, trusting, and cared for. My daughter is a highly sensitive child (HSP) -- she feels anxious with too many strangers or changes around her, so it takes time for her to adapt. From day one, both teachers have been incredibly patient and loving. They treat every child equally, with the same care and responsibility. One day my daughter told me about a new boy who cried nonstop during his first week. Every time we came to pick her up, we'd see him closely attached to the teachers -- it was clear he felt safe with them. He literally follows Ms Gram wherever she goes, which says everything about how nurturing they are. Other things I love about this school: parents get monthly reports for their kids, there are regular teacher-parent meetings, and they offer a great variety of lunch options and events for kids to learn and explore. We're so grateful to have found a school that truly understands children and provides such a loving environment.

We started with Merryhill fall last year and my grandson has absolutely blossomed! The school takes a whole person view of each child and provides them with social and academic opportunities that invite the entire school and family to participate! It reminds me of the old days of education where the school saw itself as a partner to actually teach. I thought the trauma of his experience at his previous school may take a few grades to erase but in a short time Ms Zapanti saw what he needed the most which with love and patience. He feels safe now and I couldn't be more grateful for Merryhill!! Great job Mrs Y and staff for creating this environment!
