Hi Yelp Friends. The Desert Farm lights is a super fun experience. I went with my husband and daughter. It is on an actual farm property. They have so many lights and photo opps. They have ice skating, cookie decorating, a live band, fire pits to roast hotdogs or marshmallows, private party areas to reserve that were super cute themed with igloos and fire pits and yard games. There are activities for kids and booths for hot cookies, carmel apples nachos, and a bar. There is so much I can't name it all. We were excited about the Candy Cane Maze and the horse drawn wagon ride through the orchard with lights and snow. Everything was lit up and there was holiday music playing. Everything was well staffed. When we arrived there was a steady stream of people coming in and the parking lot was already 2/3 full. They have parking attendants. They did a great job of directing the parking traffic. We picked a good night to go, the weather was nice. It is a big event space so plan on a lot of walking. It is well spaced out. I would def go again. I think it would be fun to reserve one of the private themed igloo areas. You can order food and drink I think while you're there. The tickets were a good deal to get in and the horse drawn rides were extra. There were many things you could upgrade and pay to do once you were inside. This is a fun holiday activity for family, friends, or a date night. Check it out. read more

Wow, what a great place! We brought our adult kids and grandkids, 15 in all. We rented the sugar plum igloo, and catered the taco bar with add on of tortilla chips and salsa, and beverages. The iglooo was adorable and we had our own area that was fenced off, with our own fire pit, games and pleanty of seating. Having our own fenced off area so the toddlers could run but not escape made the igloo worth every penny. The parents were able to relax, and the teenagers knew where to return to. The only thing I would do differently is to rent the igloo for the whole night. The taco bar was delicious! Even though it said on the order form that it feeds 12, there was so much beef and chicken that several in our group had seconds and third helpings. The salsas were perfect. EVERYONE was happy and full. Our igloo attendant, Alexis???, was really great. She was responsive, and kind. There was a little communication glitch and she handled it with grace. Even the owner showed up to check on us, what class. I cannot say enough about the venue, just magical. Everything from the live band to all of the activities. You have to see where they have Santa, what a cool spot. We went on a Sunday and there were crowds but not too bad. I really like that they had nice restrooms instead of the plastic port a potties. I felt this is a good value for the experience. Sure, there are plenty of opportunities to upgrade activities for an additional cost, that is an option but not necessary. The food options are good portions and quality, prices are no different than eating at a restaurant. I really want to comeback with just my husband for a date night. We will absolutely do this again as our family Christmas celebration next year. read more

Another fun holiday activity! We love the candy cane maze and all the photo opportunities. The line for the newer features was very long so we didn't participate. Hey Yelpers! Came here over the holidays cuz we LOVE Christmas lights and experiences. This place checked all the boxes! Tons of lights displays for selfies and enjoying. The candy cane maze is really fun and could take you a while to find your way through. They have a lot of food, drink, and treat options, including fire pits to roast hot dogs and smores over. There are also a lot of add on experiences: a Christmas light train ride (not an actual train, but one of those small amusement types), 2 different horse wagon options through lights (one large group and another smaller carriage for up to 4 people), a couple slides, and some private rental areas with fire pits and themed seating. The horse wagon was fun to do and the line not nearly as long as for the train. All in all, this was a great experience! There are lots of things to see and do, plenty of parking, and you can take your time enjoying what there is to offer without feeling rushed like at the drive thru experiences. This place is truly a hidden gem! Was able to snag a good deal on tickets from Groupon! I do wish that they had a reduced price for children. Super open area and didn't feel like everyone was cramped. Bought the souvenir cup that you can refill for a discount. Kids had a blast with the ice skating and the fun slide. We went to Desert Farm Lights this year and it was a nice experience. The admission price isn't bad, but to have the full experience, you do have to spend significantly more money. It is a cute place with lots of lights. It did seem a bit sparse in places. The Elote truck that was this year was great, with the best priced food. I don't know if it will become a yearly tradition, but maybe every 2-3 years. read more

There were so many fun and cool things to do. You will need to get there early due to the traffic and lines in order to enjoy all of the fun things to do there. We didn't get to do the train ride since it was a two hour wait so that took away from the experience. I would go again though. read more

This is a quality Christmas lights experience in the West Valley. Instead of driving over to the East Valley, there is now a local experience that has something for everyone and it's family friendly. We bought add-on tickets for the horse-drawn carriage ride through the lights-enhanced orchard and our granddaughter LOVED IT! Don't know which captivated her more, the carriage ride or the horses pulling the carriage. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities for pictures throughout. We loved the HUGE Christmas tree. We'll definitely be making this a family Christmas tradition from now on. read more

We went here to check out the festivities and I have to say that this was so well done !! The check in and ticketing process is a breeze! There were so many attractions for all of us young and old, and it's great that there is such a variety of activities and attractions offered it makes it totally worth the price. While you're there make sure to bring money for snacks and some drinks. Don't forget to dress warm the night time air is pretty brisk !! Try the adult hot chocolate it's very delicious !! I was very underwhelmed by the food, it was expensive & not worth the price tag. I had a slice of pizza and my friend had a shrimp basket.. the pizza was not good, and the shrimp basket was a handful of the smallest shrimp I had seen and a handful of fries. This is a great holiday activity. Very festive. I suggest to arrive early as it gets busy on the weekends. The parking is free and the tickets are decently priced considering it includes the train ride and access to the candy cane maze. It can get cold as it is in the middle of the desert. They had photos ops with Santa and the Grinch and rides and plenty of activities for the kids. They also had a variety of food vendors. Our favorite part was the maze. We took the hard route and made friends with the group in front of us. We worked together and had lots of laughs trying to navigate out the maze. Well organized, thoughtful and welcoming. Desert Farm Lights offered entertainment the whole family. The children enjoyed the bounce houses and slides, meeting the Grinch, and riding horses on the carousel. Parents and Grandparents found ample opportunities to take fun family photos. Everywhere we went we were guided by friendly ambassadors who let us know about attractions and wait times. Thanks to a generous layer of wood chips covering the entire site (including parking) there was no issue with dust or mud. One of the very best planned events we've had the pleasure to enjoy. Next year we hope to catch the things we missed this year including the train, Santa (he'd already gone back to the North Pole by the time we'd arrived on the 26th) and the ice skating. Very cool place! We just went to the zoo lights yesterday and this was far more enjoyable, and cheaper admission! The vibe is great, with live music playing, people laughing, and all sorts of fun activities surrounding me! The staff is friendly, smiling and greeting their guests. The place is full of activities, some complimentary and some for extra charge. I paid extra for some food and a horse carriage light ride. Even if I didn't go on that, the experience would've been just as enjoyable. There was small room for improvement... 1. Seating - there was rarely any benches to relax on and enjoy the lights. All the seating is by the food, which I understand would be helpful for the food vendors bank accounts. 2. The food - very expensive! But I'm a reasonable guy, I understand they probably get charged an arm and a leg to be there. Reasonably so... but make good food!! The food I had was well below average. I'm a food truck guy, but this wasn't it... I had pizza and Aoli burger and the experience just was disappointing. The pizza was embarrassing. They served me a pie with a golfball sized hole in it and it wasn't cut into slices. I got a new one and after looking at it I almost asked for the old one back. read more

We received zero form of communication about the sudden closure. After reaching out to the founder Shanelle, we recieved two separate emails refusing to refund our tickets even though we explained we would not be able to return on a different day this year. I would not recommend businesses or business owners that choose not to do the right thing regardless of the fine print. $127 dollars is a lot of money for some people to lose on a business technicality read more

Went there on Saturday night. To get there be prepared to wait. It gets super busy around 6pm. But the line of cars moves fairly quickly. Once you parked, to get inside of the farm is pretty quick too. Best decision to buy tickets online saves time. The horse hayride to the farm is highly recommended. Really fun experience. Not too long and not too short. Just right! A lot of different vendors with food and drink. The maze was fun and pretty challenging. All other activities were fun. A lot of places and props to take pictures. Went there with teenagers they definitely had fun. Wear warm clothes it gets chilly pretty quick. Happy Holidays everyone! PS. The lights were impressive, but the amount of people there was absolutely ridiculous. They make you select a time block while ordering tickets, but there was more people there than the state fair by probably triple you couldn't enjoy any activities or rides there due to the sheer amount of people there was a line before the line before the line. It was absolutely ridiculous, even before pulling into the place. I was waiting in line in the car for about an hour and the place was only .3 miles down the road if there was no people there this would be a great experience however they let everybody and their mom come in and there is no capacity due to that fact, this was a total disappointment read more

Absolutely love this place! I heard about this place and I knew I had to see it for myself. I highly suggest buying tickets online to avoid lines. Also take advantage of the ice skating rink the place has! Desert Farm Lights is wonderful for families or any social gatherings for the holidays. I really appreciated the Christmas land concept and activities, but it is way overpriced and you still have to pay for pretty much everything once you get in. Please do not waste your money on a fast track wrist band like I did. It doesn't help and only works on a couple attractions. I hope the price will be more fair in future years. This was definitely not worth the money. We pay to walk around trees with lights and food trucks. The lines were way too long to do anything. We bought the add on for the horse ride which turned out to be way underwhelming. There was stick in the ground with lights on it and trees with the same color lights and that's about it. Everything else was just way too crowded. Honestly last year and the year before was better than this year. I'm so disappointed and unfortunately out $90 this year. I wish there was a refund option if not for the entire attraction but at least the horse ride. read more

I can't decide if I love or hate this place. Hear me out: On one hand, the lights were beautiful, tons of photo ops, and we had some magical experiences. The entrance ticket includes many attractions, all of which we enjoyed. On the other hand, we spent most of the night waiting in lines, and with small kids, it was not ideal. The Christmas lights maze was really fun, but we made the mistake of doing it first. Instead, we should have hit up the attractions that have lines because more and more people come as the night goes on & the lines get worse and worse. The train was cool, but they only have 1 train running that fits about 20 people. The line didn't seem that long, but it took us over 45 minutes to get on. I eventually sent my husband with the kids to the bounce house to play while I waited in line. The big gingerbread slide was super fun! But again, it's about a 10 minute wait, so the girls only did it once. The horse drawn hay ride was by far the BEST and most well run attraction. It is an extra fee to ride, but well worth it. The line seemed long, but they have a bunch of carriages running, so it moved very quickly. The ride was magical & our driver was great! The bungee trampoline was cool, but my husband waited over AN HOUR AND A HALF to get my daughter on. There just isn't an efficient way to run it. Only 4 people can jump at a time & they each get 5 minutes. Maybe we should have done this first before the place filled up & it may not have been the one thing that killed the night. Of course it was super fun once my daughter was able to jump, but we ran out of time to see Santa because of the long wait. Overall, I do think it was fun and some good memories were made. If we do decide to go again, I wouldn't go on a Saturday. I also wouldn't go without a "fast pass", which is another extra fee, but it would have saved us from spending the night waiting in lines. We were gathering in Goodyear AZ for a family holiday week. On a whim bought tix to the Dessert Farm Lights. If you are within 45 minutes of this event then you should strongly consider it. We brought 3 generations here and everyone had an amazing time. Lots of things to do, plenty of beautiful/festive displays and helpful/friendly staff all over the grounds. The pics attached are just an inkling of what we did and captured. Will repeat if we get a chance and highly recommend. Side note: the young man at the roasting pit on Friday night was very polite, engaging and helpful. At the "Santa's Workshop" the staff member Azzy was positively wonderful. Helpful to my granddaughter and made the experience even better. It seemed like every staff member was happy and wanted to help at every turn. Get there if you can! Took the family here last night. We had to buy tickets for a specific day and time. $220 for entry for seven and ice-skating for three. The lights were pretty, the concessions were expensive. There were long lines for any of the activities. It was an hour and a half wait for the train ride, needless to say we did not do that. There was a super long line probably an hour for the slide so my grandson did not get to do that. Ultimately, unless you spend the extra money for a fast pass, you will be standing in lines all night. It was very disappointing. read more

My family has gone two years in a row and will continue every year, we love it so much! The best local Christmas experience by far! The fact that even the littlest of littles can enjoy is awesome and the cherry on top is the nursing tent/changing room which I give bonus points for the convenience/thoughtfulness.. They have all of the things to ring in the season: *lights *cute photo ops*character meet'n'greets*Christmas activities for kids*vendors for a little Christmas shopping* It does get busy fast! (We went on weekends..) so the lines get long for food/activities..so I recommend going as early as possible to beat larger crowds.. We had an absolute BLAST here!! I read the reviews beforehand and decided to come on a Thursday to avoid long lines. It was perfect. The light maze was the highlight, and not just for kids. It was a real challenge and we spent about 40 mins trying to get through but enjoyed every minute of it. It is pricey, but I feel you get your money's worth with all the attractions that are included. My kids (8, 4, and 1) loved the slide and train ride. We spent about 2.5 hours here and still didn't get to all the attractions we wanted to do. Also, lots of great food and drink options, photo opportunities, and friendly staff all ready to take family pictures for you. This is now going to be a yearly tradition for us.
