They took all measures necessary to ensure the kids had the tools needed to learn at home and they did everything possible to ensure a safe return. Basis does have a very rigorous curriculum and parent involvement is expected. The school also has a very active booster club that plans a lot of really fun events for families. We love being a part of the basis Goodyear community!

She has been unhelpful throughout the process with registering my son and consistently speaks in a rude and dismissive tone. This school also takes forever to approve your child's enrollment. They're not that great so we will be going elsewhere. I started this enrollment process back in March! And we're going into august. Head up, You are able to go online and file an enrollment complaint through district. The school has shut off their reviews on Google because they know they they have people complaining.

Instead I was asked informally to pick her up instead of receiving paperwork for suspensions. There was no talk of IEPs or 504s. There is no psychologist and there is no counselor at this school. I ended up taking my daughter somewhere else and now is staying at school and receiving more resources and support. Beware if your child is special, needs help with English, or etc. do not take them here.

If I could give this school zero stars, I would…read more My children attended this school for approximately three years after we moved from another city, and I cannot express how disappointed I have been with the level of professionalism from both staff and administration. During our time here, my children witnessed teachers gossiping about other students in front of students, as well as staff discussing internal conflicts and other employees. Even more concerning, we experienced middle school staff openly bragging about parents withdrawing their children from the school and taking pride in the fact that they felt they had pushed those families to leave. That is incredibly inappropriate behavior from adults who are supposed to be creating a supportive environment for children. When serious concerns regarding bullying and harassment were brought to the principal and administration, I repeatedly felt that they were dismissed rather than properly addressed. There seemed to be little initiative to investigate or follow through, and I often had to continuously follow up just to make sure concerns involving my child were being addressed at all. Communication is another major issue, particularly with school sports. There were times I would not even know that my child's practice had been canceled unless my child personally texted me. Parents should not have to rely on their children to receive basic scheduling information from a school program. Overall, my experience with this school has been extremely disappointing. I found the lack of communication, accountability, professionalism, and appropriate response to parent concerns unacceptable. After three years of experiencing these issues, I would not recommend this school to other families.
