By 2:10pm I called the office since there had been no call or update. I was told the tech was out on another hi that had taken longer than expected and he should be able to get to my home "soon." I expressed my dismay at the fact I had not had any communication from the tech. I also asked how long the service would take once the tech did arrive. I was told it would take about 90 minutes. I had already waited all day and now I was expected to spend another 90-120 minutes waiting for the tech to arrive and perform the service!! I found this unacceptable! I said i would need to reschedule but would need a morning appointment time. I was told they could come the next day, but, once again, I would have to be available between 8:00am and 2:00pm!! No way was I going to devote another day of waiting and wondering if the tech would appear!! I used AC PLUS in the past and was very satisfied with their service. Unfortunately their customer service has declined since I last used them and they are not as reliable as they once were.

We had contacted them because our 5 year old HVAC system, that was installed by one of their competitors, stopped blowing cold air. Unfortunately, 5 years ago we made the mistake of going with someone else for our HVAC system. So we first called that competitor to see what they could do for us but instead of visiting us as a repairman, it felt more like they came in as a salesman. They used high pressure tactics on my husband and I. We were made to feel like we didn't have much of an option other than to purchase a new AC unit that was twice the price that Air Repair HVAC provided us with. It turns out that their competitor was also charging us more than double for the biannual maintenance check than Air Repair HVAC charges. So, long story short, if you are stuck between going with Air Repair HVAC or AC Plus......CHOOSE AIR REPAIR HVAC!!! They've got my highest recommendation.

Within four hours, Marlon showed up and had the necessary part on his truck to get me back online for which I am eternally grateful. However, he brought back down from the roof, pictures of rust, oil leaks and a few burned-out resistors along with detailed explanations of where things were headed with likely steep replacemet/repair costs in the future. Not only so, but the refrigerant in my a/c unit was no longer a legal replacement in California, should leaks occur there. The motor bearings were becoming noisily worn as well. From the very first Saturday contact with a call from James within 10 minutes of my YELP request, to the field visit from Marlon on the same day, to the installatin of a brand new heat pump system only two days later on Monday by two guys up on the roof enduring the at-least 106-degree brutal temperatures, and the skillful crane operator who clearly knew what he was doing, the professionalism, great care and willingness to get it all done right was seamless and unwavering. The same to be said of the quick, no-hassle financing initiated in the office to get things rolling for me. Without flinching, I can highly recommend AACE'S.

Robert installed our new Goodman 5ton AC & FURNACE in June, of this year. This replaced the original ICP system that came with the house in 2004. We've ran our A/C unit everyday, for four months, with out any hiccups. Comparing our electric bill now, vs last year, the new system does run more efficient, as our bill has dropped some, tho nothing drastic, maybe $50-$90 monthly? For the same usage (slightly more this year). Besides the savings, the indoor climate is improved, the house feels cooler, and less humid throughout the day, even with the temperature set a couple degrees higher then last year. Over the last month, we've finally began using the furnace, due to the colder mornings, and that too, has been flawless. A much smoother, gradual warming, as opposed to the previous unit, which seemed like an All or Nothing, blast of HEAT. No issues with the Finance company either, (Greensky), everything from the application, to the payments, to the customer service has been easy, and straightforward. Overall we know we found the right company to have given our business to. Robert is a No B.S, honest man. During my vetting process, he answered all my text, returned my calls, and never once gave me some phony brochure/ saleman answer. I gave this man a difficult time with my constant questioning about his products, and installation processes, as I learned more about HVAC, and what to look for in finding a quality HVAC company. I'm a DIY'er for almost everything I own, but HVAC is not a D.I.Y accessible industry. So I relied heavily, on the Internet to educate myself as much as possible, in the short amount of time I had from the moment our A/C was diagnosed as needing replacement, to when I started scheduling HVAC company for qoutes. Spend any amount of time (as you should be, because HVAC replacement/Repair is expensive) researching/ educating yourself on the subject matter, be it google, reddit, HVAC forums, etc. You'll come to find the consensus is that there is no BEST A/C BRAND, but that what matters is THE INSTALLER!! Ask any company, and they'll tout the product they sell as the being the best. Robert gave me a no nonsense answer, for his choice of Goodman products. Experience, warranty, supply and support!! I didn't choose the brand Goodman, I chosed Imagine That Heating & Air. I had five company visit my home, and give me qoutes for a replacement system. -Air Repair -Ace home Heating and Air -AC PLUS -Imagine that Heating & Air -Above All heating and air I don't want to speak badly about any company on Robert's page, but I will say, the car saleman tactics of one of those company is real, stay away. (ACE) The rest just didnt seem to want to put up with my scrutiny. Robert did however, and gave straight up answers. Choosing him became obvious to me, plus, as added assurance, my wife got a good, honest vibe from him. (woman's intuition anyone?) If you are reading this, you know the importance of these community based reviews. Bots, and paid for reviews are everywhere, always vett a company by their most critical reviews, as those often provide the most details, from actual people. Imagine that has no terrible reviews for a reason, that's no coincidence, this man and his team is just that good. I'm glad I found a reputable company, I can proudly recommend. The price was on par, the warranty exceeded everyone else's, and the work was executed flawlessly. They arrived on time, and finished ahead of schedule. Not a single peice of trash was left on my property. That's, professionalism. Goodman 10year warranty, so I'll comeback and update this post if needed. Thanks again to Robert, his Father, and team. We appreciate you. To anyone reading, hire with confidence.

I also appreciated that he tried to get us a less expensive but effective option until it became impossible when we discovered we had a sinkhole forming -- in this case, the city was right -- we needed to replace things to meet city codes (and for our own safety!). The solution to my septic plumbing ordeal began when I called Cisneros Bros. in the middle of the night meaning to leave a message, but surprisingly, after several calls (accidentally called several times in my stress) an actual person answered the phone. Nicole (who answered) must have guessed it was urgent even if after hours. The next day, I met Nathan Knapp who walked me through every single step the crew would take. (Thank you crew!). I was helping my parents with this -- their septic tank broke into a foul river of waste in their front yard. Neighbors called the city for help, we were cited to fix things immediately, and almost $18,000 later it has been fixed. I could not pay ANY company this amount without understanding what in fact they were fixing, how, and the different options. Apparently for many decades, we were not meeting city codes (we didn't know until this septic tank disaster). The cheaper options to "fix" the septic mess weren't really an option because the city citation did not allow the cheaper fixes, but also because we truly needed a major fix. Nathan and the crew (Jeff, Victor and Rogelio) were super hardworking at pumping out the tank and Victor luckily spoke Spanish who could better explain things to my dad. It's hard to pay a bill like this, but I recognize the value of it -- it was necessary, and I really don't think it would have been cheaper or done better by others. We passed the city codes with flying colors and we don't have to worry about a sinkhole or wastewater mess. So glad to have have a brand new seepage pit, new outlet lines etc.!

He told us exactly what the problems were and what he needed to do to fix our unit. More amazingly, he had all the parts on his truck!! The entire visit took about 2 hours on this sweltering day, where the roof was easily over 120°! Omar is such a nice man, along with his helper Joe.
