Drs. Narala (C and K) have helped me sort out complex cardiac, circulatory, and breathing issues. What I appreciate most is their tenacity in working through complicated medical problems, developing a plan for testing and treatment, and sticking with me throughout. As you get older, cardiac problems may require more than one simple test and medication. My case has been difficult but the Naralas (Chandra and Karthiek) helped me find answers, step by step. After a complicated angiogram recently, Dr. K sat on the foot of my hospital bed and patiently talked with me eye to eye. No rushing. He explained options and made me part of the decision-making process for my care. Both he and his dad seem to relish finding solutions and solving complex medical puzzles. The office is busy, no doubt, but I've found success by making connections with a few of the staff members whom I can reach out to when I need help. read more

Worst place ever to go for your care about your health. They don't care about you. All they care about is your insurance that you have, Your copay, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Long waits. Rushed visits and short staffed. The front desk staff told me my appt was canceled because I didn't have insurance. I did, the company changed carriers to an even better one. I wasn't notified my appt was canceled. Never transferred my care which is required by law. Good doctor, but terribly run read more

Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to be seen for 14 minutes And it was to see the PA. Totally unacceptable. Learn how to schedule your appointments please! read more

Be prepared to wait. Appointment time means nothing. Don't be surprised if your appointment is for 11am and you have not been seen by 4pm. Nobody, including the doctor, seems to care you wasted your whole day there. Nobody apologizes or even acknowledges the situation. Then, you will be rushed in his office. Wait 4 - 5 after EXTRA HOURS from your scheduled time for a 4 - 5 MINUTES consultation. read more

My experience today. Waited 2 hours past my appointment time for a 2 minutes consultation, one minute answering the doctor's question (of how I was) that I was furious about the long wait without any acknowledgement or apology from him or anyone else (after an uncomfortable silent moment he said, "I am doing the best I can") and the other 1 minute telling me that I passed the test! For this, my insurance will pay whatever they get charged from their agreement (likely several hundred dollars) plus my $50+ copayment. The doctor may or may not be a good doctor, but the overall experience was an F- from the time of booking the test/appointment to the time of checking-out where it was clear to me that this was a common occurrence. read more

Dr Chandra is an amazing physician. His staff is very professional and competent, Tony was very calming and explained everything, his experience definitely shows!! My experience with this office was amazing. I really appreciate expediting the tests I needed to get cleared for my upcoming surgery! read more

Dr. Narala is very good, but he needs to get either more staff or better staff to answer the phone. When you wait on the phone to cancel appointment and then you hang up and then you call back a little later and they ask you to hold again. The staff are in a service business, and they act like it's my problem to hold. read more

They're billing office is terrible. They don't verify co-pays. I was a tier one with UHS there was no co-pay they asked for $55 co-pay and Jeri stated me that's billing office said I owed on $250 cash payment so they never verified the contracted amount nor that I was a tier one that had no co-pay. You could have the best in the world, but if your staff is uneducated and will not admit that they are not what the estimated co-pay would be they hit you a amount JerI was very unprofessional on how she handled it while she yelled at me while I was being very calm she stated she did not the other patients in the waiting room. You can have the best doctor and have a staff that somewhat incompetent and the doctor suffers and vice versa if I were you, I would stay away from desert cardiologist and vascular center. Find another doctor. They nickel and I'm used to death. read more

I and my husband are patients of Naralas. They are extremely busy and I agree that it's hard to see them. But they are very PROFESSIONAL and very CARING! I and my husband have great respect for them. If you are impatient and juggling between your work and then I would recommend you to take a day off. Waiting time may be little longer. But I guarantee you that, you get an excellent care from them! And it's worth the wait. I highly recommend both Dr. K and Dr. C. read more

I was scheduled for a stress test here. I was only advised not to drink caffeine 24 hours before my test and to not eat that morning. When I arrived, I was told that I would be injected with radioactive material through an IV that supposedly would take pictures inside me. I refused to be injected by the foreign substance. This asshole that works there, Tony, printed a copy of a document to show me my signature, was argumentative, told me that it was already explained to me and asked me if I knew how to read. I advised Tony that nobody told me and I had no understanding that radioactive materials would be injected into my body and how could he know it was explained to me when he wasn't there? I cannot stand when these hacks try to turn fiction into fact when they have no personal knowledge. Tony threatened me with fines/fees to the tune of $300 if I did not permit him to proceed. I declined. I was then ridiculed by the front desk who told me that I "was an adult" in reference to not understanding the signed document. In my personal opinion, this place is a hack shop more concerned about profit rather than the health of patients. read more

Dr K Narla and his team worked on both my legs. I could barely walk before. He went in and cleaned out my veins and put in stents. And my stomach was also blocked he fixed that one also. I can walk again! I don't need a cane or anything to walk. I can not thank Dr K Narla and his team enough. I highly recommend him. I also go to his Dad for my cardiologist. He is a fantastic Dr. also. I highly recommend both of these Dr. They have gave me a new lease on life and I can't praise them enough. Thank you just doesn't just seem enough. read more

My wife and I have been using Desert Cardiology and Vascular for 13 years. Our doctors, both Dr. C Narala and his son Dr. K Narala are excellent cardiologist and surgeons. One of those clinics that is fine wasting your time, and therefore overbooks to the point of chaos. The waiting room is completely full and people waiting 1.5 hrs after their appointment time. How do they expect people to coordinate their days or take off work for a quick appointment? Rude when doctors run their clinics like this Also, the office itself is quite dirty and the doctors rush you through your questions in a couple minutes. Guess that's acceptable to them though! read more

We were seeing Dr. Narala at Desert Cardiology, even though they were out of our coverage, because he's a good cardiologist, however his front office is inefficient, unprofessional, inconsiderate & oblivious to how to appropriately function. Dr. Narala has been informed of such & has a new office manager, Greta. Little change has been noticed except for asking Greta to follow through on duties that the front office should be able to do. Our PCP called (via physician/hospital line) directly to request my husband's cardiology records & was hung up on several times. It is extremely frustrating to call even for an appointment, you're placed on hold for more than 30-40 minutes minimum when you're not hung up on. My husband often has to drive to the office (a little over 20 min.) in order to communicate with anyone. It has been a 2 year nightmare. After our PCP's experience, he referred us to a cardiology group that is now within our medical coverage. If you can find a good cardiologist within your network choose them & skip this office! P.S. We originally saw Dr.Narala & his son while we were in the hospital & liked them which is why we stuck with them, but now we can't take the stress of the front office. read more

Yelp Review Desert Cardiology & Vascular Center I have never written a yelp review before. Every once in a very great while, when I have a positive experience in the medical world I feel it must be shared. This is one of those times. I just had an experience with a group of people who are exceptional professionals and their attitudes and behaviors are an examples of how to provide great patient care. I had a pleasant, positive and exemplary experience in my dealings with Desert Cardiology and Vascular Center. Who? Dr Narthiek Narala & Dr Chandra Narala and their team of fabulous professionals. My experience included interactions with an efficient office appointment scheduler, a personable & helpful office clerk, a skilled and personable medical assistant, a truly professional, knowledgable & skilled Nurse Practitioner and finally, a fabulous & very helpful surgical scheduler. This is not the norm today...it is very unusual. This team should give lessons in customer (patient) service. Thank you all for making an experience which is normally one of the highest level of anxiety experiences... so much less nerve wracking and much easier to deal with over the past month. I appreciate all of you!!! Nancy M, RN (of 50 years), MEd, MSW read more

Staff does not follow through with ANYTHING! Does not return calls. I have to call several several times until I get frustrated and yell and than they act like I'm being ridiculous? Just asking someone to do their job, please It's a shame the staff makes the doctors look so bad read more

Dr. Narala is amazing! He takes his time with me and answers all my questions. He is very thorough but doesn't order unnecessary tests. Ive been going to his office for more than 6 years and have never, not even once, had a bad experience there. His PA's are very knowledgeable and take their time with me to be sure I understand. The office staff is always professional and friendly. 90% of the time I wait less than 15 minutes to get in to see the doctor. I've never waited more than 30 minutes. I would recommend Dr. Narala without hesitation and he is the only cardiologist I would take a family member to read more

What a complete joke of a "doctors office". Just spent almost 2 hours waiting for a simple monitor to take home in which they couldn't even figure out how to program it and kept blaming the computer crashing. There is 0 communication while you sit here waiting for hours in a crowded room full of people waiting to be seen or updated and the staff (aside from the front desk check in clerk) are all rude and dry. Never would I ever recommend anyone to this place and the sad part is that people come here to check on a potentially serious medical issue yet the staff could give 2 craps about anyone's well being. Steer clear away and find an alternative to this place. read more

Patient for approximately 2 years... Very Good, Comforting, and seemingly Professional Doctor who does his job with some pride. The office staff is inept, rude, and possibly mentally defective. Enough was enough!! They schedule procedures well in advance and cancel within MINUTES of your arrival time BUT "never know exactly why(?)" and find a number of excuses that are never their fault. The "office manager" (whichever person is elected at that moment to lie to you) is always from the same select few whom are never the ACTUAL manager (like Rich... lie, lie, be rude, say something stupid, hang up)... Okie Dokie. Too bad, too. If WE cancel the appointment with INSUFFICIENT notice, WE have to pay a fee. When YOU cancel a medical PROCEDURE, not test or visit, but a PROCEDURE that required a day off of work and coordinating drop off/pick up and YOU cancel with less than an HOUR before start time, with no reason other than "I don't think we sent out for an approval" or "I guess the tech couldn't stay late" @ 1pm in the afternoon for a 2pm appointment.... and YOU give ME attitude and ineptitude... that only reflects on you. read more

4 Stars for the Doctors. Somewhat thorough and professional. 1 Star for a few of there front office staff that are totally incompetent. Pathetic. Appointments mean nothing and they lie. Called to make an appointment and specifically asked how long it would take as I had other appointments that day. Was told maybe 30min or so. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour and counting and haven't been so much as acknowledged. Gonna be screwed out of another appointment that I have no way of making up, likely costing me a lot of money and letting down my kid. read more

I've been bringing my dad to see Dr. Narala for about 5 years now. We when first started coming to see him there were no issues with the wait time. In the past year it has been ridiculous. I don't know if it's because he has picked up a lot more new patients or something else. I believe it starts with the schedulers. The waiting room now is standing room only. I firmly believe they over book every single time. On 3 separate occasions I had to wind up researching because I believe an hour was long enough to wait. I'm here today and so far our wait is at 30 minutes. I will give it another 30 minutes and then we are out. My dad is 93 years old and this long wait time is not conducive to his health. I'm also considering to look for a different cardiologist. No one should have to wait hours to be seen by any doctor unless he was called out for an emergency. That was not the case the 3 times we had to reschedule. read more

I was referred to Dr. Narala so I could get potential sleep disorders diagnosed. Dr. Narala himself is very nice and helpful in answering any questions that you'd have, but his office staff on the other hand can sometimes be a pain to deal with, especially on the phone because they don't always remember to follow-up with you on things like test results and insurance billing questions. These things may not seem important enough to them to prioritize but to a patient it can be very stressful not knowing. Usually if I don't hear back for a few days, I'll give the office a call and follow-up myself. I've been told by his office staff before that they either were too busy to call me or that they had called and left a voicemail when I don't even have a missed call or voicemail. I've also been early or on time to appointments here and then still had to wait almost an hour...What?! Overall I've gotten what I needed out Desert Cardiology, just sometimes the process drags on longer than it has to! read more

Definitely I do not recommend this place. Front desk terrible..not friendly..be prepared to wait hours.
