Bought Forest River Sunseeker 2400W from RVOne via online with pick up at Des Moines location…read more Deal wise .. it was best price hands-down. Purchase process was simple. Sale rep was good, appeared to be genuine without any run-around. Motorhome was custom ordered, and delivery was promised to be between 8 and 12 weeks. It was delivered on-time. I was then turned over to finance team to help with a loan. Their rate was better than what I could find on my own. (there are not a lot of banks that handle RV Loans directly to consumers) I was approved and loan secured within couple of days. Finance rep pushed hard for extra warranty, but I dont hold it against them.. its how they make money. A simple "no, thank you" once or twice was enough to get the point across. They went as far as to state that Saturday delivery can only be scheduled for customers who purchase warranty, but I guess I was "fortunate" and they were able to accomodate with Saturday delivery. On the day of pickup. All paperwork was in order, we signed it quickly, but not without one last attempt to make a "special" deal for me to purchase warranty. ( again, I was reminded that finance rep did me a favor and would get in trouble if I didn't purchase warranty) but it wasn't her day, and no warranty was purchased. Pickup process was fairly quick. I did my due diligence and learned as much as I could prior to walk through. Our motor home did have some minor issues.. cosmetic stuff really, but still annoying. A scratch here, a gap there. But overall, we got lucky, and everything worked. But this is a risk with an online purchase and custom order, it makes it difficult to walk away from after you travel far to pick it up and committed with a signed loan. Essentially the moment loan is signed, that motor home is mine, and they are just storing it for me until I get there. One second day of trip home (back to California), we realized, that exterior TV door lock did not work. Contacted service immediately and asked for replacement lock. Should be easy, and I would replace it myself. that was on 7/3/2017 .. back and forth between service reps and me, and on 8/24/2017 they conceded and asked that I call local locksmith to fix the lock. So I realized, that I would never get a replacement lock from them, took the lock to local locksmith to get it fixed and their service dept reimbursed me few weeks later. Overall my rating as follows: Sales - 5 ( no run-around, clear pricing, willing to work and negotiate ) Finance - 4 ( pushy but bearable, they got my loan handled and its all I really needed ) Service - 2 ( useless (although nice on email )) Overall - 3.5 ( Because of positive sales experience, I would deal with them again. )

I was told that prior to this they had done a complete check on all items and there were no issues that needed attention and it was ready to go camping. Well.. no. The first time I hooked up to city water to de-winterize the whole inside flooded due to bad leaky fittings. Replaced those myself. Went to pull the drawer out from under the couch, only to find it was broken and the slide bearings were actually in the drawer itself. The final thing I have found ... For now is that when I went to replace the tires when I pulled one of the wheels off I found that the hub bearing dust cap and sleeve were missing and in their place was duct tape. Called "Billy" in service... no help he must ask the general manager for assistance with any issues. Zack the GM called and that is where the fun starts. I spent hard-earned $$ on a trailer that I was told was t"thoroughly gone through" only to find it wasn't. Zack said they don't check bearings, which I was ok with but when they checked the brakes they would have to pull wheels and it would have been found, However, to check brakes, they don't physically check them. He told me they lift the unit and check to make sure they work, basically just spinning the tire. I wanted it noted that when I called I am a very frustrated and upset customer. Zack accused me of yelling at him, (I was talking firmly and a bit loud, but far from yelling) and told me he would hang up. He told me they just check the "major things, Refridge, stove water heater furnace and ac. I offended him and he got very upset when I asked how they could check the water heater when the water wasn't turned on, because the camper would have flooded if it was. All in all, very disappointed in this dealership and hope I haven't got a money trap. Not sure I will ever buy from them again, nor recommend them as they don't sell ethically or back up their sales.

OK. I'm trying to figure out where all the super low reviews are coming from. I was really…read moreworried buying from McKee based on the reviews. This was our first RV. I've been shopping around and looking for the Dynamax that I wanted. I finally found it at McKee. I sent in a request on a Sunday morning and was contacted within an hour and told that one of their sales reps would be in touch with me first thing Monday. I was contacted by Randy first thing Monday about the Isata 3. He was very kind, respectful -- everything that I would hope for and none of the high pressure that I felt at other RV dealers. We worked together to find a price that I felt was fair. I told him I needed to sleep on it. Again, there was no pressure. Next day, I called back and left a deposit. I told Randy that I wouldn't be able to get there for a week or so based on personal commitments. No problem. I also was super clear that I wasn't going to sign any paperwork until I had an opportunity to fully inspect the RV. Randy was clear that that is the way it works -- only once I've had my full walkthrough would we move to signing final paperwork. My wife and I drove out from the Chicago suburbs. We arrived almost 2 hours later than our appointment. It was no problem. Huge thank you to Jamie for our walk-through. He was extremely patient with us as we fully walked through the RV. I must have asked him to repeat things three or four times -- never a hint of annoyance with us. He was super kind. We found a couple of minor things during the walkthrough. We asked that they fix them prior to us leaving. They did. Final paperwork with John was a breeze. Again, no high pressure. John offered us a variety of extended options. We declined and that was it. Again, I've had very different experiences with other dealerships that often use high pressure, scare tactics to sell extended warranties. So, I can't speak for the other reviews but our buying experience at McKee was excellent. Even the recommendation for dinner at the Tin Pig Tavern was spot on.

I didn't hear anything for a week, so I called to see if they were able to get it in the shop yet. They said yes, but have not figured it out yet. The following week I called again and they said it will need to be replaced with a new fridge. I said okay, made sure it was under warranty, approved them to order it, and they submitted it to warranty. It took two months for them to complete any work. Within that time frame, I needed the camper to stay in about an hour away while working, but they would not allow me to pick my camper up til the fridge came in. I told them my how I needed it and would return it once I went back home, but they wanted to charge $2,000, when no work was completed, just to hold while I stayed in it for a few days. I said no way, no work has been completed, I need the camper. They refused to let me get my belongings or take the camper. So I spent over $400 in hotel rooms for 3 nights and had to buy things for my overnight stays that I already had in my camper. The communication is absolutely awful here, not to mention how rude everybody is. It feels impossible to get ahold of anyone in either department. I would NOT recommend buying from here, or getting service done. Read the rest of the reviews and believe them, like I should've.

After the service, we realized they had done nothing to fix the leak. We called them, they apologized, and we agreed that they could fix it for real this fall, when we had the camper in for roof repair. Now mind you, a roof repair is a big deal, so they've had our camper a long time... Like, a month. And Scott (my husband) has confirmed with them several times that they would take care of that leak. They assured us it would be fixed. Scott went to pick the camper up on Sunday and discovered the leaky pipe STILL hadn't been touched. And since he was picking it up on Sunday, there wasn't even anyone there to talk to, because they were closed. He had to just leave it and call them on Monday... At which point the service dude basically accused him of lying, saying that they never knew about any leaky gray water line. #areyoukiddingme #whatashitshow Thanks for nothing, Plaza RV. I wouldn't wish you on my worst enemy.
