I was charged $48.75 to clean my winter coat. There is something wrong here. They did not tell us the price when we dropped it off. I could have A new bought a new coat for that price. They handed my son a ticket after he gave them the jacket with the price to clean it. Just awful to rip people off like that. Please think twice before using them. I visit the County Street location, normally for dry cleaning, but annually for bulky load laundry, i.e. bedspread and chair cushion. Going 1x per year I am, a "problem child" who requires some assistance. In prior years I've had the good fortune of going when Linda was working. She has always been friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. On Wednesday 8/28/24 another woman was working. She was minimally helpful, never leaving the front desk to assist, told me I used too much soap AFTER I had made that determination myself, and did not come across as terribly friendly. (When I told her I could not see the top of the machine to clearly see where the detergent went, her response was, "I'm shorter than you." Why yes, she was shorter, but a stool would have been helpful. After struggling I notice one at the end of the row of machines. Now let's discuss the condition of the facility. It appeared dark, though the photo I took clearly showed lights were on. The mural on the side wall was cute. Only one ceiling fan, with blades drooping, was spinning, the sole portable fan was directed at the employee at the front desk, and there were so many bags of laundry awaiting pick up they extended 6-8 feet from the front windows toward the machines. There were no benches or chairs to sit at. I waited in my car with the window open as it was more comfortable than inside. The only instructions for machine operation were what appeared in the LED window or small labels on each machine. They did not cover detergent or fabric soften instructions, rather focusing on collecting money and choosing your cycle specifications. I had recently used a facility while on vacation that had a large sign on the wall explaining step by step use with diagrams. Yes, it seems excessive, but it certainly made things perfectly clear. I used Dermody to Dry Clean my 2 Canada Goose winter coats. The genuine fur around the hoods was burn to a crisp even after letting them know about the fur. First, they made me proof they were real Canada Goose by sending proof. Second, it doesn't matter, it was ruined. Yet to hear back from them 2 winters later. THE WORST LAUNDRY MAT EVER. it should be bought out or completely out out of business. the employees gaslight customers. the washer machines are dirty and have Reminence of the previous customers detergent. I told the employee with glasses (Asian lady she never gave me her name) that one of the machines was filled with powdered detergent , the other two machines weren't pulling my detergent and fabric softener. she told me that I put to much detergent or I didn't put enough. That's an unacceptable response. these machines do not wash clothes properly and the owner of the establishment is charging $5-$6 per machine. Clean the detergent and fabric softener out of your machines before closing every night and definitely get them worked on because it's not pulling the liquids to properly wash these clothes. I'm very upset and will never return to this run down establishment ran by incompetent fools. read more

They have recently taken over the Press Club in Somerset. Since this time, my husband's shirts have been horrible. They have to be ironed a second time due to the fact that the shirts have no starch. This after asking for heavy starch the last four times I have picked up his shirts. Very frustrating. read more

They will take this down, however I had to put this up, they pay like 10 bucks an hour and want you to be happy with it, they force it on you. Just didn't like the feel, and I think the owner has a mba from a decent business school, I didn't need one. I like to win. read more

***WARNING: Do NOT bring any of your items to Dermody Cleaners*** Dermody Cleaners deserves a 0-STAR REVIEW. This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have experienced. I brought my new state competition gown (w/tags) to be pressed. I received it in WORSE CONDITION. The gown had MORE WRINKLES, was BURNT, and had watermark STAINS all over. The Dermody Clearers tag said PRESS ONLY. We brought the dress back and the manager, Lisa saw the DAMAGE. She said to let them try one more time and stated the boss would CALL me that Monday - he NEVER did. Back again, the dress STILL had STAINS & BURNT MARKS. I continuously tried contacted the manager. She stated that the cleaner was on vacation until August 10th. I called on August 14th, and an employee stated that the cleaner just came back yesterday, and the dress will be done tomorrow - "it's still drying." What was it drying from? She couldn't answer any of my questions. The dress was EVEN WORSE - there were PULLS all over the gown, STAINS still visible, and the BURNT marks. The zipper to my evening gown bag was BROKEN and my hanger was LOST. I showed the boss the burnt marks and he said well, that doesn't show, it's underneath. He then reassured me that when I return, the gown will be to my liking. I return again for the 5th time. The dress was still burnt. Water marks were clearly present. There were even more pulls to the gown, not less, and NUMEROUS beads were MISSING. With this 5th visit, we took the gown home because the boss said there was NOTHING he could do because we signed a waiver. This freakin' dry cleaners have lost two items of mine. I called the "owner" and have not received a return phone call and to be quite blunt, I really don't expect him to call me back. For some blessed reason they no longer tag the clothing. Perhaps they need to start doing that again so that they won't lose customer's clothing ! They're supposedly are looking for the belt THEY lost (the belt was in the belt loops and knotted which is my usual procedure with dry cleaners) and how in the hell they lost the top to a piece suit is unexplainable AND unacceptable. The so-called manager is looking for my top which cannot be replaced because it was bought at a store that no longer exists. After I brought my clothing home that I picked up Saturday is when I noticed the top was missing. I should've looked more carefully which is my mistake. To be quite honest with you I don't think ANY of the suits I picked up were actually CLEANED. If I had known this beforehand I wouldn't have dropped off six dresses Saturday. I'm picking up my dry cleaning Wednesday morning. 1. All six dresses better be there; and 2. This is my FINAL time using this dry cleaner. 1 mistake I could justify but 2 in the last month is unacceptable. They used to be decent but the service is definitely lacking. The manager at the lakeville store is completely unprofessional to other employees aswell as customers. And so is the owner of the franchise. The management and communication is completely lacking . The people who do the actual cleaning and pressing have no Pride in the work they do. Quantity to them is more important than quality and in a cleaning industry it should be the opposite . Brought my husbands favorite hat here to get dry cleaned.We got it in Bermuda.They ruined the hat.I went in to see about them reimbursing me for the hat.He cant wear it again.Tessa said since the label says dry clean only its not their fault.Its the manufacturers fault.Seriously?She said they dont do those hats here.Matt took it and didnt tell me otherwise.The person who tried to clean it should have sent it back saying they dont do hats.I tried calling Terry but havent been able to reach him.He told Jordan to call me and say he will only reimburse the cost of dry cleaning the hat.That isnt acceptable.My husband is out his favorite hat.Tessa wouldnt even apologize.It wasnt their fault.Very poor customer service.I will never go back again.I would love to hear from Terry.Its $22.00 to replace the hat.Its also $25 to ship from Bermuda.I spent 45 minutes researching the hat.I couldnt find anywhere around here.Its not on ebay or amazon either.I dont expect them to cover the shipping but I'm sure they have insurance to replace the cost of the hat read more
